In the stock email app on my S3, there was always a button you could push to get rid of spam on your phone (or to mark an address as spam). I don't see it on the S5. Is it gone? Do you have to turn it on?
Between this and the inability to sync properly, they really screwed up the email app.
Is there going to be a spam filter for Mail in the iOS6 update?

when you send a unwanted email to spam does iphone record that email and tag it as spam in the future? how do you tell the phone it is spam?

I receive my email in Outlook as well as on my XPERT. I set up rules in Outlook to automatically delete incoming spam however the phone seems to display every email without any spam security or filtering. This is to the point now, where reading emails is almost impossible since 80% is spam and completely displayed.
Is there any way to set this phone to filter spam or are there any known outside vendors for an app or anything? (In my perfect world, the phone had a spam filter built-in of course)
my imessage is in spansh have trashed are reloaded keeps coming back in spanash? why??

My phone can do everything except get on the Internet, if I try to get on the Internet it takes me to this bogus site that is clearly trying to get my information. It fronted as an email from my college and the government Fafsa...grrrr! Why are people so evil???? Anyway, I am out of state and don't have my Mac, so other than a clean wipe and set back to factory setting (since I haven't backed it up in weeks),how I can fix this?

I have a brand new 3GS. For some reason, when I type in the letter M in the "to" field of a new email, my contacts who start with M will come up, along with a third random email address that starts with an m. I don't recognize it (it looks like a spam address actually) and I've never written to/from it on my iPhone.
Where did it come from and how can I get rid of it? I've tried restoring and then re-setting up my email accounts but that didn't get rid of it. If it makes a difference, the phone was purchased brand new from the Apple store. I'm the only one who's touched my phone.
I'm my gmail account on my device. I recieve emails directly into my inbox, as well as messages that skip the inbox into different folder (labels)
in the device, the main/default folder is the INBOX, whereas I prefer to use the ALL MAIL filter. Right now, I need to select FILTER, and then ALL MAIL, to see all my new emails, as opposed to those that only went into my INBOX. Any way to make the ALL MAIL folder the default one?
New spam emails being received on samsung s5 are disabling the ability to tag them as spam. This only leaves pressing unsubscribe which could be risky or delete. Meaning there is no way to stop future emails.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like to be able to block Spam email on Samsung Galaxy S6. I can see how to block specific addresses but I don't want to have to type out the email addresses to block every time. I want to be able to do it by clicking on offensive emails in my inbox.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since I got my phone, I keep getting this email notification of Mobile Email OZMAIL. I never had gotten this from my old phone (Motorola Karma Q1) so I'm wondering why it keeps popping up. I believe it's a text message, it's not an email. It's reallly annoying and I want to get rid of it.

I know how to do this with my Hotmail account but can't find any instructions in this regard for the BlackBerry.

I have a problem where email sent from my Blackberry is going into the recipients spam/junk folder. If I send the same email from my Outlook it goes to there inbox. I have tested the behavior with 4 different recipients who work for different companies. The Blackberry is setup with BIS via OWA and is on Vodafone.

View 8 Replies View RelatedOn my previous phone (HTC One X) I could choose to not sync particular folders (like spam) to my phone, but on my LG G4 it syncs all spam (or other folder contents) directly to my inbox, meaning I get a regular stream of notifications about junk all day every day - it's beyond irritating now. When I go into mail settings and select "show all folders" there is no spam folder or any of my other Yahoo or Gmail folders, so all mail, including spam comes straight to my inbox. How do I set the default email app to properly show ALL folders and set syncing so I don't get spam synced to my phone?
I'm hoping I've just overlooked something simple and my upgrade hasn't meant a reduction in simple functions! If there's no way to do it in the default app? This seems such a ridiculously basic function to omit.
How can I set email filters on my Curve 9300 in order to eliminate spam or other unwanted traffic
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry. Problem is I have a limited data plan. I don't want to go over the limit.
Is it possible to stilll recieve the emails but that all attachments are filtered and excluded from the pushed email into my BB? If I want to see the attachments I will goto a proper PC to see it by logging in that way. I want the BB to just let me know an email was sent, and what text/word content is in it, if any. I dont want to recieve the attachments to my blackberry.
Also, does the emails with attachments sent to blackberrys use the data, or are they not downloaded until you explicitly click to open attachments>
I went to do a search on my iPhone in the App Store and saw the following screenshot. I was shocked that apple would allow this. What if it was my daughter's iPhone?!

Some users have complained that the default filter of all pictures taken with their iPhone 5 camera has mysteriously changed to one or the other of the various filters available other than "none" (i.e., usual full-color) version they want. I can't find that string again, hence this new item.Â
I had the same problem, and believe I have solved it this way:Â
1. Take a picture. Â
2. Find it the usual way in Photos - Camera Roll. Presumably it's the wrong filter.Â
3. Click on Edit. Click on the intertwined-color-circles icon at the bottom to reveal all the filters.Â
4. Scroll over to None and change it to that. Save the picture.Â
5. Key thing (I think): REBOOT YOUR PHONE. (I happen to do it by pressing the on-off button at the top and the depressed home key at the bottom a the same time; do it however you wish.)Â
6. When you next shoot a photo, it should be in "None" mode (as the default).Â
Somebody knows if it is possible to filter the mail to look quickly for unread messages in iphone 4s?

When I search for someone with a home, work and mobile number I'm only ever going to text the mobile (or iPhone) numbers. Anyone know of a way to filter it so that only they show up? I'm assuming it would be possible to tweak that on a jailbroken phone.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've never gotten a spam TXT in the 2yrs owning an iPhone. Today I got my first one from some place telling me if I owe more than $10k to the IRS to contact them blah blah.
Trying to think of who I gave my # out to in the past week. ATT has my info but I highly doubt they would do anything but then again is this TXT coming from an email?
I just went to ATT blocking options and clicked block to all 3 options listed anyone else getting SPAM SMSs since owning the i4. Just wondering where they got my info better not be ATT.
