I have a problem where email sent from my Blackberry is going into the recipients spam/junk folder. If I send the same email from my Outlook it goes to there inbox. I have tested the behavior with 4 different recipients who work for different companies. The Blackberry is setup with BIS via OWA and is on Vodafone.

when you send a unwanted email to spam does iphone record that email and tag it as spam in the future? how do you tell the phone it is spam?

The Samsung email app has not junk folder for outlook account so I can't see my emails gone to the junk folder. But in the webmail service or desktop I can see these mails.
I use IMAP setting for my emails.
I have set up an Hotmail email account on the N900. All is fine with recieving emails, but when I try to send an email from the phone it allows goes into the junk folder.I have set a few test emails to Hotmail accounts and Outlook accounts, but all appear in the junk folder.Can anyone help me with this problem?

Do you need to have the "BB Enterprise server" to create a new e-mail folder? I just bought Email++ it works perfect what I need to do now is to create a junk mail folder. This option does not show on the menu.

I have deleted the email account on the computer and phone, multiple times, but still the junk emails come through. I'm getting like 400 junk emails per day. I use GoDaddy as our server and they block out the majority of the emails as I can see them in the junk folder on my computer, but everything in that junk folder comes through to my phone....It's essentially syncing the junk folder and inbox instead of JUST the inbox.......

If I try to send an E-mail to a Hotmail address with a 1.2 MB picture in it, the Nokia 6700 indicates after a very long time that the message is not deliverable due to network issues. What is the reason, is the picture too big? Or is it a provider-related issue?

It was working fine before I went away on holiday but since I have returned I am unable to send emails as iit keeps saying that the recipient has been rejected as the server does not allow relaying. I did not use my phone while I was away except for texting so didn't change any settings. I have read through similar questions and have tried all of different things suggested (turning off wifi, although it was never on wifi it was using 3g), making sure that both the primary server and the other SMTP servers are set as on and the details are filled out but still nothing works. Originally it was only set up with the primary server ticked as on and I never had a problem with it. I've also tried turning the phone off and on again several times and tried the power off and holding down the home key at the same time.

View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing an iPhone 5s, I took a photo and sent it to one of my contacts. I have several email accounts and the default one is my gmail account. When I selected the photo and chose to email it, the sending email account in the new email message was my gmail account. However, as soon as I selected the recipient, the sending email account changed to my outlook.com instead of the gmail one. I didn't realize this at the time so when I sent the photo, it sent using my outlook.com account instead of the gmail. I use the outlook.com account more for work related emails, so I don't want personal email messages to go through that account. I've been able to replicate this sending email account switching for this particular recipient both on my iPhone and on my iPad mini.Â
I've run into a similar situation when using Mac Mail on my MacBook - new emails are sent as from my Outlook.com account instead of the default gmail account. However, I've not been able to identify a particular reason for this. In the Mac Mail Preferences, Composing settings, I have selected to send new mail from my gmail account, not the account of the selected mailbox. This seems to be a recent development on both the MacBook and on my iOS devices. Both iOS devices are running version 7.1.2. The MacBook is on OSX 10.9.4.Â
Why would iOS mail change the sending email account based on the recipient, when sending a picture? It doesn't seem to consistently happen when just starting a new mail message from within the mail app. Why would this happen for just some recipients (so far I've just identified one in particular, who is on a comcast.com email account). Why would MacMail on the MacBook send new mail from the outlook.com account when the default is gmail?

Between this and the inability to sync properly, they really screwed up the email app.
My Iphone and my brother's iphone have done the same, our email contacts recieve spam emails we havent sent with vulgar links, i dont know why it happned or how to stop it other than to change my password, i need to know why it happened in the first place to make sure it doesnt happen again

My phone can do everything except get on the Internet, if I try to get on the Internet it takes me to this bogus site that is clearly trying to get my information. It fronted as an email from my college and the government Fafsa...grrrr! Why are people so evil???? Anyway, I am out of state and don't have my Mac, so other than a clean wipe and set back to factory setting (since I haven't backed it up in weeks),how I can fix this?

Ive had my bb 8900 for a couple weeks now. I downloaded the facebook app & was annoyed to find out Ive got to sync up email address to get fb messages on the app.
I dont want to change my email account I use for fb, but I also dont want to get a notification vibratation & flash on my phone every time I get one of my 2000 daily spam emails
Today I noticed that the email folder is not there any more. Only the messages folder exists. I tried removing the battery. Erasing the email account and re-creating it, but no luck. Emails are in the main messages folder but I do not see a seperate email folder. .

When I choose this the email opens and I can send, but the recipient, just get pages of code not the photo. If I create an email I can attach the photo and it sends. I also get this when i try to forward some photos i receive via email, they just receive code.
