Ive had my bb 8900 for a couple weeks now. I downloaded the facebook app & was annoyed to find out Ive got to sync up email address to get fb messages on the app.
I dont want to change my email account I use for fb, but I also dont want to get a notification vibratation & flash on my phone every time I get one of my 2000 daily spam emails
when you send a unwanted email to spam does iphone record that email and tag it as spam in the future? how do you tell the phone it is spam?

I have a Bold 9900 and am constantly receiving spam email (i.e. purchase Viagara etc.). How do you change your settings or setup a rule to block these unwanted messages? I know how to do this with my Hotmail account but can't find any instructions in this regard for the BlackBerry.

I have recieved 2 spam e-mails in my gmail account. I deleted them imediatelly, including them in the trash.
But for my surprise, they are now in my calendar, and I cannot delete them. They are in a grey color, circulated by dots and are impossible to edit and delete.

I would like to be able to block Spam email on Samsung Galaxy S6. I can see how to block specific addresses but I don't want to have to type out the email addresses to block every time. I want to be able to do it by clicking on offensive emails in my inbox.

Every once in a while I would get one SMS message from an unknown number which was spam. Today, for the last 4-5 hrs, I've been receiving numerous spam SMS msgs from 2 area codes in the Atlanta, GA area that are 3 different mobile numbers, and some of which are from the same repeating mobile number. View 8 Replies View RelatedIn the stock email app on my S3, there was always a button you could push to get rid of spam on your phone (or to mark an address as spam). I don't see it on the S5. Is it gone? Do you have to turn it on?
Between this and the inability to sync properly, they really screwed up the email app.
My Iphone and my brother's iphone have done the same, our email contacts recieve spam emails we havent sent with vulgar links, i dont know why it happned or how to stop it other than to change my password, i need to know why it happened in the first place to make sure it doesnt happen again

My phone can do everything except get on the Internet, if I try to get on the Internet it takes me to this bogus site that is clearly trying to get my information. It fronted as an email from my college and the government Fafsa...grrrr! Why are people so evil???? Anyway, I am out of state and don't have my Mac, so other than a clean wipe and set back to factory setting (since I haven't backed it up in weeks),how I can fix this?

I have a problem where email sent from my Blackberry is going into the recipients spam/junk folder. If I send the same email from my Outlook it goes to there inbox. I have tested the behavior with 4 different recipients who work for different companies. The Blackberry is setup with BIS via OWA and is on Vodafone.

For some reason, when I type in the letter M in the "to" field of a new email, my contacts who start with M will come up, along with a third random email address that starts with an m. I don't recognize it (it looks like a spam address actually) and I've never written to/from it on my iPhone.
Where did it come from and how can I get rid of it? I've tried restoring and then re-setting up my email accounts but that didn't get rid of it. If it makes a difference, the phone was purchased brand new from the Apple store. I'm the only one who's touched my phone.

View 8 Replies View RelatedOn my previous phone (HTC One X) I could choose to not sync particular folders (like spam) to my phone, but on my LG G4 it syncs all spam (or other folder contents) directly to my inbox, meaning I get a regular stream of notifications about junk all day every day - it's beyond irritating now. When I go into mail settings and select "show all folders" there is no spam folder or any of my other Yahoo or Gmail folders, so all mail, including spam comes straight to my inbox. How do I set the default email app to properly show ALL folders and set syncing so I don't get spam synced to my phone?
I'm hoping I've just overlooked something simple and my upgrade hasn't meant a reduction in simple functions! If there's no way to do it in the default app? This seems such a ridiculously basic function to omit.

View 6 Replies View RelatedA hard reset (remove the battery while the BB is on) seems to have worked. I say seemed since it has been reported on this board that it may return when the "service books" are updated...I'm new to BBs. I just purchased it today and against my better judgment installed FAcebook (FB). After getting a deluge of mindless drivel pushed to my new BB I decided FB was not coming near my BB again.So I found the icon - menu - delete. I restart the BB as instructed and to my surprise the icon is still there.I tried to move the icon into a folder but I don't know how to move it because the menu button does nothing when I select the icon and press menu.
And there are some FB messages too. I deleted the FB messages - when I check my messages it reports I have no messages in FB ... BUT there is a little FB icon at the top of the screen showing one message. This one message seems to be relic but I have no idea how to reset or delete it.I also tried the BB desktop software. It shows that it is uninstalled. There appears to be no way of deleting icon, moving the icon, or deleting the FB message indicator either.
I am wanting to know is there a way to delete multiple email messages or normal messages for that matter at one time.If i receive like 20 emails, do I really need to delete each one individually? As it's major painful. Even my old dilapidated cell phone could delete mutiple messages at once.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to be able to check my email thru the GMail application; get notifications for my Yahoo Messenger, missed calls, voicemails, and SMS Text and MMS messages thru the BlackBerry Messages app; and my Gmail calendar thru the BlackBerry Calendar app.
I can't figure out how to make my email NOT appear in Messages. So, I created a dummy email account that gets no email and set that up as the default email account. Now I get my real email thru the Gmail app, and all the other notifications thru Messages (and no emails in there). Great, but the Calendar app won't work with my Gmail account because it only wants to connect to the dummy gmail account and to Facebook. I don't want Facebook to touch my calendar, and I have set it as such in the Facebook App options, but it still does. Using Google Sync, I managed to get my real calendar to show up in the Calendar as Default. When I run the sync, the appointments I created in the online Gmail calendar appear in the Calendar as being on the Facebook calendar.
From the Calendar, I can not create appointments for my real Gmail account, only for my dummy account and for Facebook. If I delete the appointments from the Facebook calendar, then after syncing it deletes the appointments from my online Gmail calendar. I think what I need to know boils down to "how can I prevent email from appearing in Messages?". If I can figure that out, then I can delete the dummy account and set up the email as my real account and then the calendar should work correctly.
