My friend has an iPhone 4 and is complaining about junk mail.Is there no junk mail folder on that phone?

I have had a mac email address/imac/iphone for years. I have always loved the mail program and have never had any syncing problems, either with mobileme or icloud, until now. About a week ago, junk started showing up on my iphone. Lots of it. When I go to my imac and open up the mail app, it filters out the junk, and then a few minutes later my iphone will sync and update its inbox. But until I do this spam just keeps on arriving in my iphone inbox. I have tried leaving the mail app running on my imac all the time, but this has not helped - as soon as my mac goes to sleep it seems it stops the mail getting filtered. I have tried deleting my mail account from the iphone 4s and reinstalling but this didn't help either.

the other day I was trying to stop some junk mail from being delivered to my phone, so I was "unsubscribing" to things on my BB. Now, this may not have anything to do with my problem, but it all started here. These are the issues. Can't get on any websites?a worm has gone through my hotmail account and everyone is getting "emails" from me with a link that I did not send. So, I keep getting mailer daemons. I have changed my hotmail password and also deleted everyone from my contacts on hotmail on my PC. I NEVER attach my BB to my PC so.... where is this worm coming from? Does my BB have a virus or a worm? How do I get rid of it?My BB just reboots on its own.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm currently running 4.4.2 on my Samsung Galaxy S5 (G900).
For a couple of weeks now I have noticed that my email has started to sync my junk mail. I will get notifications, i.e. It will say I have 10 emails, 5 important, 5 junk. When I go in to my email it will only show the 5 important ones in my inbox.
Is there anyway to turn off notifications for junk mail?
Other things you may need to know;
- I'm using MS Exchange Server (for my hotmail account).
- I haven't recently updated my OS.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a person who when I make the connection between their BB Desktop Manager and their Outlook Profile all of a sudden outlook sends all incoming email to the Junk E-mail folder.Another behavior is that if I add the sender to the Safe Sender List, the next email from that person will show up in both the outlook Inbox and the Junk-Email folder.Any help would be great as I think I have everything setup correctly. If I break just the email outlook profile connection the problem goes away. AKA, Outlook doesn't put emails into the junk folder that shouldn't go there.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe group that did it is notorious for doing trolls that mess with people and make them upset. Do you think they could have used a similar exploit to get the e-mail addresses of pre-ordered iPhone 4s and sent out that June 23 e-mail? Just a thought... It seems pretty on-track with other "trolls" they've done to groups of people.
View 8 Replies View RelatedAs of today, Yahoo mail won't push mail from my Yahoo account to either my iPad or my iPhone. I can open the mail app and manually refresh to get new mail, but mail won't push on it's own. I tried the basic trouble shooting steps of removing my Yahoo account from my iPhone and iPad and re-added and also turning push off and on, neither fixed the problem.
I wanted to see if it was a global problem so I created a dummy Yahoo account and added it to my iPhone and push worked for that account, so I know push is working. Now here's the weird part. When I added the dummy Yahoo account to my iPhone, push started working for my actual account. I repeated this with my iPad and it worked there as well.
Thinking things were fixed I removed the dummy Yahoo account and push stopped working on my real account. I added the dummy account back in and push started working for my real account. So basically I need to have a dummy Yahoo account on devices to get push mail to my real account. The opposite is not true, I can delete my real account and the dummy account will still get push mails. I tried leaving the dummy account on the phone, but turning mail off, but that too causes my mail account to stop receiving push notifications.
It looks like when a Yahoo account is added to an iOS device, a message is sent to Apple's push servers indicated the Yahoo email address that was added. Similarly when an account is removed a message is sent to indicate the email account was removed. That way Apple knows if any Yahoo Mail accounts are on the phone and if there aren't any it won't push. That or it can tell Yahoo that there are accounts on the phone that need push email.
At this point I don't know how to get things working without using my work around. I can tell the iPhone/iPad is sending info to Apple when I add my main Yahoo account to the device, but the push to check for new messages isn't coming in unless I add a different Yahoo account to the devices and turn mail on.

I have been reading reviews that the iPad camera connection kit no longer works with the latest iPads, does anyone know if this is still the case or has the issue been addressed/fixed?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSome users have complained that the default filter of all pictures taken with their iPhone 5 camera has mysteriously changed to one or the other of the various filters available other than "none" (i.e., usual full-color) version they want. I can't find that string again, hence this new item.Â
I had the same problem, and believe I have solved it this way:Â
1. Take a picture. Â
2. Find it the usual way in Photos - Camera Roll. Presumably it's the wrong filter.Â
3. Click on Edit. Click on the intertwined-color-circles icon at the bottom to reveal all the filters.Â
4. Scroll over to None and change it to that. Save the picture.Â
5. Key thing (I think): REBOOT YOUR PHONE. (I happen to do it by pressing the on-off button at the top and the depressed home key at the bottom a the same time; do it however you wish.)Â
6. When you next shoot a photo, it should be in "None" mode (as the default).Â
just purchased the new iPad but have pictures on an iPad 2 that I am going to give to my son. How do I transfer the photos from the old iPad to the new one? Thanks.

When I search for someone with a home, work and mobile number I'm only ever going to text the mobile (or iPhone) numbers. Anyone know of a way to filter it so that only they show up? I'm assuming it would be possible to tweak that on a jailbroken phone.

View 16 Replies View RelatedOn my s6, my email was working perfectly fine on the stock client, then about 6 weeks ago, it started pulling in everything that was going to my junk mail folder(from outlook). I have deleted the email account on the computer and phone, multiple times, but still the junk emails come through. I'm getting like 400 junk emails per day. I use GoDaddy as our server and they block out the majority of the emails as I can see them in the junk folder on my computer, but everything in that junk folder comes through to my phone....It's essentially syncing the junk folder and inbox instead of JUST the inbox.......
