I'm migrating from an iPhone 4 (iOS 6) to the Icon and tried without much success to transfer text messages to my new phone. I was able to transfer contacts successfully... and the Text Message option does appear when I pair my iPhone, but is says "0 Found," quite the contrary from what is actually on the phone. Since it seems like the transfer app wants to work, any trick to make it happen.

I just purchased a new Nokia Lumia Icon as an upgrade for my very well used HTC Trophy. I was able to use the 'Transfer My Data' app to move my contacts over, but the app was only able to copy my oldest 500 text messages over.
Is there any other way to transfer all text messages over, or for the 'Transfer My Data' app to transfer the newest 500 rather than the oldest 500? I'm on Verizon if that makes any difference.
A friend have two iphones, a 4 and 4s. She has tried to transfure the data from the 4 to 4s using itunes, and this has been mostly sucessful. However, some of the text messages and notes have not been synced? Also, when i try and sync her 4 in its entirety, i.e not just notes and contacts, but music and movies aswell, it says it has been synced with another itunes library and do i want to erase the data.

Is there a limit to the number of texts that can be transferred using this app? Any other way to. Get all messages from my old blackberry 10 Phone?
I started with an intermittent text receiving issue a couple of days ago. Text will work fine, then they stop. After the that the only way to get them working again is a reboot. Called VZW, they ran tests on their side, etc. I'm thinking this is on the phone side.
This morning, the text app is giving me the "resuming" msg. and also started crashing. Also some other apps are crashing like looking at pictures.
Seems like a hard reset is needed here? I'm out of town, won't be back for 2 weeks. Need the phone to work, so if I hard reset, will I be in a need of a wifi to get the phone operational again?

All of my other apps are using negligible amounts of data.What is the "Restore data" app, and how do I tell it to stop using so much data?
One additional bit of info: 2/23 was also the date that the Microsoft Health app updated. I use a MS Band. It seems like there may have been some type of update pending on the band. When I called Verizon's tech support, they said that the pending update might have something to do with the massive data usage. We completed the update to the Band, and they said to give it another day to see if the data usage continues. What this "Restore data" app is, it doesn't sound like it has anything to do with the Band.

The first is a universal studios which I put on my computer but cannot transfer to my xoom.The second is a lions gate film digital copy which makes you go through itunes. I did that but cannot get it to my xoom.I traded in my Ipad 2 for a xoom for more possibilities. I have my lumia 920 which is the best phone to currently hit the american market, but i am unable to use it in its current state. There is solutions to transfer your contacts, calendar, pictures, video, and music along with playlist and album covers. But i'm stump that there isnt a way to transfer my text and mms from my iphone. i have important messages and would like to be able to utilize only one device if i need to reference anything. with all the work you have put into migration i'm surprise text wasn't first on the list. i have my phone but havent activated it yet and probably won't if i cant bring over my past text history from my iphone 4s. i dont understand how it was presented that migration from an iphone would be seamless when migrating a big piece of important content was left out and as of now no announce to develop a solution. as much as i dont want to but i may have no option but to return and abandon nokia and windows phone altogether, because that is a big deal breaker for me and i'm sure many others. i did not know during my anticipation of this wondeful device, that, i would have this as an issue.

I am switching from the Torch, and with the setup I had there, an email sent would show up in my blackberry messages folder as a sent message (regardless of whether I sent it from the blackberry or from gmail on the web).
I'm a bit stumped. I have my Icon synced with my Mercedes C300 via Bluetooth. Everything works fine..receiving and making calls. Responding to texts with Cortana. However, I want to add a new contact to the cars phone book. I go to the contact on the Icon...select share the contact...choose via Bluetooth....but the Bluetooth connection for the car does not show up to select. This is very strange since the phone and the car are already connected via Bluetooth.

For instance, I will get as many as five or six copies of the exact same message within a few minutes of each other. The people who are texting me are only sending the message once, so I assumed the problem was on my end. I reset the phone about three times per week, but the problem does not improve or get worse. I have even pulled the battery after it happens, but it continues after it reboots.

I've tried it on both usb connection and wifi. same result, photos/videos/call logs etc all fine but no msgs!!

I received some text messages which includes photos on my bb curve 9360 and cannot find any way to copy the photos from the text messages onto my pc. Alternatively, If I could only find out how to transfer these photos in the text messages to the camera sections photos on the bb. When I connect the bb to the computer and utilise the bb desktop sw I can see the photos from the photo media section on the pc but not the photos in the text messages.
