I used the transfer my data app to transfer all my txt messages from my old phone. When I paired it it only found 2048 messages whereas I'd more than 10000 texts on my old Blackberry.
Is there a limit to the number of texts that can be transferred using this app? Any other way to. Get all messages from my old blackberry 10 Phone?
Just changed from from the 920 to the 950 and was wondering if the text message backup is still a thing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a new Nokia Lumia Icon as an upgrade for my very well used HTC Trophy. I was able to use the 'Transfer My Data' app to move my contacts over, but the app was only able to copy my oldest 500 text messages over.
Is there any other way to transfer all text messages over, or for the 'Transfer My Data' app to transfer the newest 500 rather than the oldest 500? I'm on Verizon if that makes any difference.
I'm migrating from an iPhone 4 (iOS 6) to the Icon and tried without much success to transfer text messages to my new phone. I was able to transfer contacts successfully... and the Text Message option does appear when I pair my iPhone, but is says "0 Found," quite the contrary from what is actually on the phone. Since it seems like the transfer app wants to work, any trick to make it happen.

As of this moment it's still stuck from January 2013 and it hasn't taken this long before so it could be a server side that's been causing the issue. So I tried using the Transfer My Data app to transfer text messages and whenever I pair them it doesn't allow my Lumia 920 to transfer texts only contacts.
Is that because it's using an old Bluetooth that doesn't allow transfer, but I paired it the opposite way and it transferred over my Lumia 950 texts onto my 920... . So I tried using the contacts+message backup app by uploading the text backup using OneDrive and then downloading that onto my Lumia 950 but that wouldn't work either since the restore option was grayed out.

I sent a similar message about 50 min ago but included a typo which said test messages instead of text messages.
I received some text messages which includes photos on my bb curve 9360 and cannot find any way to copy the photos from the text messages onto my pc. Alternatively, If I could only find out how to transfer these photos in the text messages to the camera sections photos on the bb. When I connect the bb to the computer and utilise the bb desktop sw I can see the photos from the photo media section on the pc but not the photos in the text messages.

Well, I learned that Moto doesn't play nicely with Mac so my MacBook Pro was not much of a help. I had better luck with my HP running XP and managed to get the contacts switched without too much trouble.
The SMS records are another matter. I couldn't find a way to transfer them using BB Desktop Manager so I made a text file copy of them into a Windows folder I created. Two actually - one for inbox and one for sent items. Now I can't find a way to load those text files onto the Curve. I've tried every way I could think of using Desktop Manager but no dice. I would love a solution that does not require buying more software.

I have my lumia 920 which is the best phone to currently hit the american market, but i am unable to use it in its current state. There is solutions to transfer your contacts, calendar, pictures, video, and music along with playlist and album covers. But i'm stump that there isnt a way to transfer my text and mms from my iphone. i have important messages and would like to be able to utilize only one device if i need to reference anything. with all the work you have put into migration i'm surprise text wasn't first on the list. i have my phone but havent activated it yet and probably won't if i cant bring over my past text history from my iphone 4s. i dont understand how it was presented that migration from an iphone would be seamless when migrating a big piece of important content was left out and as of now no announce to develop a solution. as much as i dont want to but i may have no option but to return and abandon nokia and windows phone altogether, because that is a big deal breaker for me and i'm sure many others. i did not know during my anticipation of this wondeful device, that, i would have this as an issue.

However, some of the text messages and notes have not been synced? Also, when i try and sync her 4 in its entirety, i.e not just notes and contacts, but music and movies aswell, it says it has been synced with another itunes library and do i want to erase the data.
