May 20, 2012My Yahoo! mail stopped pushing few days ago and I've been trying all possible ways to get it back to work again but nothing seems to help. I also contacted Yahoo! support helping that they can assist somehow.

May 25, 2012Yahoo email is not pushing to my iphone for more than a week now. I've tried everything I could, nothings seems to work.I deleted the account, add it again, added one more server, I even did a restore, no succes. I have to mention that gmail and icloud are fine.

Dec 12, 2013All of a sudden the phone couldn't automatically log into my yahoo email. I've changed the password and everything. Now I deleted the account from the phone and tried adding it again. It says "authentication failed, verify username and password". I'm 100% certain both are correct.

Apr 16, 2012Last Friday my D4 did a forced reboot out of nowhere, which resulted in the Data Manager somehow turning off the "Data Enabled" feature. It took me an hour of no internet/data connection to figure out what was going on.
Perhaps related, since then, Gmail no longer auto syncs or pushes messages to my phone. I have to manually refresh in Gmail for any new message to show up. This failure is highlighted when I am sitting there with my Xoom and my D4, and my Xoom gets mails all day long over 4G/LTE, but my phone is silent.
I have been all through my settings and can't figure out why Gmail won't autosync anymore.

Sep 9, 2014I recently changed my password on Yahoo.com, and I started having trouble accessing my email using the mail app on the iPhone 5. It was displaying "cannot get mail" and couldn't connect to the server, even after I updated my password on the phone. It seemed like it was reverting to my old password, even after I successfully changed it.Â
I switched to trying to access Yahoo through Mail - Other and it worked. I can receive my e-mails, but now it is not letting me send outgoing mails. It says "doesn't accept relays".

Jun 7, 2010This is really bothering me.I have a yahoo mail account set up on my phone - It has been on there for over a year - it has always worked this way - If I get an email (the phone goes "bing") and i read it on the computer - and responded and delete it on the computer it would be removed from the phone the next time i looked. Recently I began noticing that the message is not being delated from the phone if I delete it from the mailbox, and I can't figure out why.
Basically I want to be able to read the message on the computer and hit delete and for it do the same thing on my blackberry and vise versa. Now it seems to work if I delete the message on the BB then it will not be in the Mailbox on the computer.

Jun 19, 2012I finally got around to setting up Mac Mail on my iMac today. My primary e-mail account is an @yahoo.com address. After setting up yahoo on the Mac Mail program, my iMac and iPad can receive new yahoo e-mails when they check for mail, but my iPhone not only isn't receiving yahoo mail when it checks for them, it will not fetch new e-mail either when I manually tell it check for e-mails. The only way it has received any of the new e-mails is after I shut down the phone and rebooted it. Again, everything was working fine until I set up Mac Mail today.

May 17, 2012As of today, Yahoo mail won't push mail from my Yahoo account to either my iPad or my iPhone. I can open the mail app and manually refresh to get new mail, but mail won't push on it's own. I tried the basic trouble shooting steps of removing my Yahoo account from my iPhone and iPad and re-added and also turning push off and on, neither fixed the problem.
I wanted to see if it was a global problem so I created a dummy Yahoo account and added it to my iPhone and push worked for that account, so I know push is working. Now here's the weird part. When I added the dummy Yahoo account to my iPhone, push started working for my actual account. I repeated this with my iPad and it worked there as well.
Thinking things were fixed I removed the dummy Yahoo account and push stopped working on my real account. I added the dummy account back in and push started working for my real account. So basically I need to have a dummy Yahoo account on devices to get push mail to my real account. The opposite is not true, I can delete my real account and the dummy account will still get push mails. I tried leaving the dummy account on the phone, but turning mail off, but that too causes my mail account to stop receiving push notifications.
It looks like when a Yahoo account is added to an iOS device, a message is sent to Apple's push servers indicated the Yahoo email address that was added. Similarly when an account is removed a message is sent to indicate the email account was removed. That way Apple knows if any Yahoo Mail accounts are on the phone and if there aren't any it won't push. That or it can tell Yahoo that there are accounts on the phone that need push email.
At this point I don't know how to get things working without using my work around. I can tell the iPhone/iPad is sending info to Apple when I add my main Yahoo account to the device, but the push to check for new messages isn't coming in unless I add a different Yahoo account to the devices and turn mail on.

Feb 4, 2010yesterday i set my storm on the dock to my computer, started up dm. an update on my core applications 5.0 was available so i proceeded with the update. now all of those pushed icons for bing, my verizon, Internet, etc. keep popping up without a reboot! anyone else come across this?before the update i would remove these icons in my service books and they wouldn't pop up until after a reboot. since this latest update the icons pop up every half hour or so. very annoying to say in the least!
i apologize, i know this has been discussed already but this is getting so ridiculous! verizon keeps telling me "there's nothing they can do".is there a way to go back and "un-do" this update? i know we can't permanently delete these pushed icons, only hide them.

A few days ago my Yahoo Mail stopped connecting, and I started seeing the above noted error message (Cannot Get Mail. The connection to the server failed.) While it won't retrieve messages, it will let me send. So at least SMTP seems to be working OK.Â
I've tried deleting it and adding it back, but to no avail. I've rebooted the phone. I've and any combination of options found on these boards.Â
