When I send an email from my yahoo account on my blackberry and the recipient replies their reply bounces back to them, this doesn't happen when I send from my yahoo account via my PC.
View 3 RepliesNew Galaxy six, did the whole gmail sync to get my contacts transferred. Also since the gmail account set-up, I'm getting so much more junk in both of my accounts. It's obviously not as secure as my other emails. But bottom line, my mail won't send from yahoo but will from my imap account with century link. My old LG had me set up as yahoo being imap, the new Galaxy set it up as pop? I can't access my outgoing settings anymore on my old phone so don't know what to change them to?

View 2 Replies View RelatedUsing an iPhone 5s, I took a photo and sent it to one of my contacts. I have several email accounts and the default one is my gmail account. When I selected the photo and chose to email it, the sending email account in the new email message was my gmail account. However, as soon as I selected the recipient, the sending email account changed to my outlook.com instead of the gmail one. I didn't realize this at the time so when I sent the photo, it sent using my outlook.com account instead of the gmail. I use the outlook.com account more for work related emails, so I don't want personal email messages to go through that account. I've been able to replicate this sending email account switching for this particular recipient both on my iPhone and on my iPad mini.Â
I've run into a similar situation when using Mac Mail on my MacBook - new emails are sent as from my Outlook.com account instead of the default gmail account. However, I've not been able to identify a particular reason for this. In the Mac Mail Preferences, Composing settings, I have selected to send new mail from my gmail account, not the account of the selected mailbox. This seems to be a recent development on both the MacBook and on my iOS devices. Both iOS devices are running version 7.1.2. The MacBook is on OSX 10.9.4.Â
Why would iOS mail change the sending email account based on the recipient, when sending a picture? It doesn't seem to consistently happen when just starting a new mail message from within the mail app. Why would this happen for just some recipients (so far I've just identified one in particular, who is on a comcast.com email account). Why would MacMail on the MacBook send new mail from the outlook.com account when the default is gmail?

If I try to send an E-mail to a Hotmail address with a 1.2 MB picture in it, the Nokia 6700 indicates after a very long time that the message is not deliverable due to network issues. What is the reason, is the picture too big? Or is it a provider-related issue?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I press the Music & Video tile it looks like it is going to load but then bounces back to the main menu.Does on the complete list menu as well.Did this once before for a while then started working agin.Also now the xBox Live games is doing the same thing .The Nokia Music tile works OK though.When it first happened I thought it was a low battery thing as the battery was lowish, but this time the battery is fully charged.

I do notice that when I go into settings, a message states that the phone was last synchronized on Sept 2. When I attempt to re-set, the phone remains on Sept 2.

I retired my Blackberry to get on board the smart phone train and after 2 1/2 weeks with my Atrix 4G I am barely able to use e-mail. I'm not a techie but fairly competent with a post grad education and spent over 2 hours with a true techno geek that could not find a solution that only after spending a couple hours in the local AT&T retail center with their gurus trying to determine if the phone was defective.
After reading dozens of posts on outgoing e-mail problems, there are so many different issues that I cannot believe AT&T can market this phone "for the business man" T can market this phone T can market this phone
I can receive email just fine from my Atrix 4G phone, but I can't reply or send an email. It tries to go, but then I get a message that says it wasn't sent. I have gotten with our IT person, and all the settings seem to be right. Others aren't haveing problems sending from thier phones.

I can't send or forward emails BUT I can reply to an email. I am on BIS with O2UK and when I try and send, the option is just not in the menu and the mail symbol (for send) remains greyed out when I try and send or forward what I compose or receive.
All other data services are working and I have sent service books a hundred times and even tried 3 different OS's after doing security wipe!
I use the Tour on the Verizon network. This morning I went to start a new email and usually I type the first letter and all contacts starting with a letter J for example will come up - - But nothing comes up! I checked my phonebook and all contacts are in there like normal, but my email won't pick any up. If i am replying to an email or clicking on a link like craigslist it works fine. If i am sending the email to a contact with a stored email address it works fine.
But if i just enter the email address for instance JRSpero@gmail.com the little send box in the upper right corner is not bright and is not able to be selected.
My BBM can receive but cannot reply or send to all friend contact in BBM, when I sent that BBM show the "X" red colour. What I have to do if like that. I already uninstall My BBM then I rebooted my set and reinstall it back. Still same.

The connection to the outgoing server "apple.smtp.mail.yahoo.com" failed. Additional Outgoing Mail Servers can be configured in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars
Typically, this is followed by the message being place in the Outbox.
Sometimes, the message actually does go out when the iPhone says that is could not send the message.At others, after a very long period of time, the "swoosh" sound tells me that a message was sent.
This is a new symptom and I have not changed my mail settings at all. I have tried deleting my mail account and re-adding the same, but no help. I've tried sending email from another iPhone, same issue. I've also verified that this is not isolated to my account, since my wife was complaining about the same symptom on her phone using her Yahoo! email account.
