Suddenly, I received an email message from Blackberry Internet Services that asks me to validate my Yahoo email password. However, my Manage Internet Email icon no longer works (for some reason) and I get an error message when I try to use it. ERROR Site cannot be used in this manner. use URL or link provided to you by your service provider. what that means or why I am suddenly getting that!
All of a sudden the phone couldn't automatically log into my yahoo email. I've changed the password and everything. Now I deleted the account from the phone and tried adding it again. It says "authentication failed, verify username and password". I'm 100% certain both are correct.

So I've had my blackberry curve for almost two years email has always worked fine on it until recently. I moved out of province and finally got around to changing my phone number to a local one not long after that I decided to back up my phone on my pc since I hadn't done it in a really long time. Well when I plugged my phone into my computer i thought it was weird it didn't recognize my phone it kept saying it was a new devce when I know I've back it up before. Then a few days later I get an email on my phone saying I need to validate my password for my email and wont be able to send or receive emails until I do so. It gives me two options, open blackberry internet service account through my set up icon on phone or using the computer.

I have a user name and password before I can go onto e-mail settings to verify my e-mail address. Problem - I cant remember user name or password. How do I disable this security feature? I miss getting my e-mails on my blackberry.

So when I tell them my email address and to send my password, the message is that they will send my password TO MY BLACKBERRY - HOWEVEr - if Im not recieving email messages, how can they send it to my blackberry?

I got a message from blackberry stating that I need to verify my password in order to have emails sent to my phone. The message is Unclear and it states that i need to go to the Blackberry Internet Service account and click on the setup icon and click email accounts or email settings.

I cannot verify my work email password. I know that the password is correct because I can access my email on my computer. The email account has always worked until this weekend. Also, I cannot download the latest upgrade -- I have tried through my computer and my phone.
I realized at work today that I had not received any email from my hotmail account in a couple days. I tried veriifying the email on my Blackberry Pearl but receive a mesaage stating my password is incorrect. Since I had to verify my email to post this message my password is apparently working from an internet connection. I have looked at the other posting and tried the host routing table register and taking the battery out but am still unable to register my email. Is there anything else I can do to try to fix this?
Received email from BB saying I needed to verify password for my personal email account (which has stopped sending emails to my phone but I still get business emails.) I go to: Settings>Manage Internet Email> and get an error message saying "Your device had a problem connecting to the server" This is continual, even after powering on and off.
I try to sign into the app world and it says it cant verify my email and password. I tried clicking the forgot password and I keep getting the message that Blackberry App world is having trouble connecting to the Blackberry App world server with the error id 30637. I've gotten apps before so I don't understand why I am getting this message!
When I try to verify my password the setup email account shows the internet and enterprise accounts as it should. When I press the internet mail management icon, it just throws me back to the setup screen. It is in a loop.
I'm trying to set up a yahoo email account on a Curve 8900 running OS 4, but when I go to Setup and Email Settings, all I get is the message "Your device had a problem connecting to the server". I'm based in Ireland and have eircom broadband. My wireless router is a Netopia with WEP encryption but no authentication (Open security).
how do I set up Yahoo email subfolders? I went to Messages Folder, Options, Email Preferences, Folder Redirection, but, my Yahoo email folders do not appear.
I've had my BB for just over a week. I changed my gmail password (for security reasons) yesterday and this morning I received an email from BB requesting that I verify my gmail account/password. Since then I have not been able to (i) find/view my work email folder and (ii) BB is telling me that my gmail passsword is incorrect when I KNOW it's correct. I've rebooted my BB and even re-changed my gmail password to simplify it (just in case I was typing it wrong on my BB), but nothing works.

Ok it seems since yesterday my 8530 has not been getting any emails from yahoo. Anyone have this problem? Anyone know of a possible cause and solution? not sure what the deal is. I have rebooted it a time or two and even hit reconcile and nothing. I sent myself an email from my phone and it went through but none others.
I get emails from the donotreply@blackberry.com that tell me I need to validate my Yahoo email. I've done the validation thing countless times and it NEVER accepts the password. The only way I can get it to work is go to Yahoo and set a new password on my email account. Then I need to get on my 8900 and "validate" with the password.Why do I have to change my Yahoo password to get this to work? I know my password is correct because I got to Yahoo on my laptop, login, and enter the correct password and the email comes up.

I have an 8350i BoostBerry. Gmail is putting a "1" in front of my number @myboostmobile.com address and I don't get the email on my phone. Let me try to clarify.I can send an email from Gmail (PC) to my phone, but I do NOT put a 1 in front of the number, just the area code and number, so it goes through fine. I reply to it, then go back to the PC and when I go to reply back to the phone, I see that it has a 1 in front of the email address and it doesn't go through to the phone.Is there some kind of setting that I could change so that it doesn't add that 1? Wht would it be adding the 1 in the first place? Maybe when the phone replies it has the 1 and Gmail is just copying that and adding it to the email address? PLEASE help as I use this phone for business and I NEED to have my emails coming through properly.
My wife bought me a secondhand BB 8900 [Vodafone] on the internet. She put in the sim from "Talk Mobile" and I am able to use the phone fine. I am also able to connect to my home BT WiFi and the phone shows up on it's screen that connected to my WiFi and it's ID. Is there any way I could access my Yahoo e-mail on this device using my home BT WiFi?

My yahoo email was hacked into as I opened an email on my Blackberry 8530 curve. They were able to change my email password, steal and delete my contact list, send all my contacts and email saying I was in London and desperately needed $1500 and set up an alternate email in Yahoo so that if some questioned the email requesting money they would reply it was really me. Is there anything I can use to protect the Blackberry phone from this type of thing from happening.
