View 1 RepliesI receive an e-mail every once & a while saying that I must verify my e-mail password in order to continue sending/receiving messages on my phone. This would be fine if I was able to do so through my phone, but I am not. When I go to the set-up page to enter my password and try to click on the e-mail accounts button, nothing opens (it never has). Is there a way to fix this so it will open? Or a way to verify my password for now until I can get it fixed?

I moved out of province and finally got around to changing my phone number to a local one not long after that I decided to back up my phone on my pc since I hadn't done it in a really long time. Well when I plugged my phone into my computer i thought it was weird it didn't recognize my phone it kept saying it was a new devce when I know I've back it up before. Then a few days later I get an email on my phone saying I need to validate my password for my email and wont be able to send or receive emails until I do so. It gives me two options, open blackberry internet service account through my set up icon on phone or using the computer.

However, my Manage Internet Email icon no longer works (for some reason) and I get an error message when I try to use it. I cannot seem to find the "set up" icon on the BB Internet Service page!
I cannot verify my work email password. I know that the password is correct because I can access my email on my computer. The email account has always worked until this weekend. Also, I cannot download the latest upgrade -- I have tried through my computer and my phone.

I tried veriifying the email on my Blackberry Pearl but receive a mesaage stating my password is incorrect. Since I had to verify my email to post this message my password is apparently working from an internet connection. I have looked at the other posting and tried the host routing table register and taking the battery out but am still unable to register my email. Is there anything else I can do to try to fix this?

All of a sudden the phone couldn't automatically log into my yahoo email. I've changed the password and everything. Now I deleted the account from the phone and tried adding it again. It says "authentication failed, verify username and password". I'm 100% certain both are correct.

I changed my gmail password (for security reasons) yesterday and this morning I received an email from BB requesting that I verify my gmail account/password. Since then I have not been able to (i) find/view my work email folder and (ii) BB is telling me that my gmail passsword is incorrect when I KNOW it's correct. Today I stopped receiving emails and got a message from BB asking me to verify my addresses/PWs through the set up. Problem is each time I put in the details it says 'Username is invalid. A user name must be at least 4 characters.' it's a full email address so is more than 4 characters!

I have had a BB for two years which has worked perfectly with my personal email adress using my servers. I have upgraded to a 9780 and now I cannot set up my email. Setup on both BB and online keeps returning a message "can't find you mail server" and then sends me an email via that server to my PC. I have spoken to technical support who can say nothing other than,"there is nothing wrong with us!". However, my ISP has monitored his system and found no attempted access when I try to verify my mail servers. My email works perfectly for eveyone else, not my new blackberry.

Yesterday and today my email accounts will not re-validate (if thats a word). I read all the messages about passwords being "incorrect" which affects validating email accounts and this is my problem. I have done the same thing: changed passwords, tried logging in through the computer and showing the password so i know its correct etc. I have even waited hours before attempting to validate my email again.
