I have created a nokia email account, selected the 10 folders that I want to have syncronised and added the gmail account to my E72. However the subfolders are not showing up on my phone even though the inbox is working 100%.
View 4 RepliesI got my E72 yesterday and am quite impressed with Nokia Messaging so far (I previously used RoadSync on my N82 for syncing with our exchange server). One thing that's bugging me, though, is that when emails come in to one of my subfolders (this is the Mail for Exchange mailbox), there is no new email notification on the main screen.Is that right? Can anything be done about this? Like most people, I filter all my work emails into subfolders, so I need to know when something appears in one of them. If I can't change this, I'll need to go back to Roadsync. Any ideas or comments?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI tried to manage the folders and subfolders in my Nokia E72 but I was not able to move the /Connectivity Folder to the /Root Folder, same thing with the /Games Folder. In my Nokia E71 the /Connectivity Folder is in the /Root Folder, the way I like it to be.
/Connectivity and /Games Folder is supposedly in the /Root Folder or otherwise there must have an option for us to move that, but there isn't.
On my 9700 (5.0.0.405), I have my Gmail acct with the enhanced plug-in. I've noticed that when I send an email from my phone, the sent message does not show up in my Gmail list. It *does* show up in the main Messages app. And when that person replies, it shows up as a single email (i.e., doesn't group and show 2 emails with my original). Is this normal? Did it start with BIS 3.0? I can't recall whether it did this prior to 3.0. I also have a Yahoo account, and when I send mail from that, it does show up within the Yahoo Messages app (with a check mark next to it). I also looked through options and "Hide Sent Messages" is set to No.
View 4 Replies View Relatedi just upgraded my Storm to the Bold 9700 a couple days ago. When setting up gmail through the "personal email setup" icon on the 9700, I add gmail successfully. My problems are below:
1. Sent messages from my gmail account on the computer, do not show up on my BB. I found that gmail made the fix to not have them appear in your inbox as new messages, but the sent messages don't even show up with a check mark. I made sure the "Hide Sent messages" option is set to "No" but this didn't fix the problem. Is there any way I can at least view the sent messages with a check mark next to them on my BB?
2. While trying to test out different scenarios, I found that email I send to myself on gmail don't show up on my BB. Is there any way to turn this back on?
Just got the HTC one yesterday and have been trying to add my Gmail account to the mail app. I've already added my hotmail account to the mail app and i can see my mail. But after adding my gmail account to the mail app it doesn't display my emails from gmail. It just says no mail pull down to refresh". Yes I know I can use the Gmail app to access my gmail items but I like having all my email accounts in the same app.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI added a new gmail address to my phone, before that, I had my work e-mail, a different gmail address and my blackberry e-mail.All e-mails went directly into the main mailbox.They also went into the separate folders for each specific e-mail address. so if I wanted to only look at e-mails from email address #1, I just had to look in that folder.Well it still works for the first 3 e-mail address, but since I added the new gmail account, the e-mails on the new account only go to the main e-mail message folder.So if I go to the separate folder for the new gmail account it shows no e-mails at all.But if I go to the main inbox, any new e-mails to that account are shown there.Does anyone know how to fix this?I have deleted and re-added this account at least 3 times, I have done everything I know and I still cannot get the e-mails to show up in the separate account folder!

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy mail comes off a Microsoft Exchange Server. In Outlook I have sub-folders to my Inbox. When I sync or reconcilliate only those sub-folders that I have dragged and dropped messages into (and only those after the initial sync) are visible. Sub-folders that have a rule set up in outlook for messages to directly go to those do not display the messages; however I can see all the sub-folders. I would love to sync all messages for all the sub-folders and be able to view them. FYI I have the default 30days setting in the phone and all messages in Outlook are only 3 weeks old.

The issue is that they do not want to have to go through all 50 folders trying to figgure out which ones have new email in them. Is there a menu option on the phone to show which folders have new email? Verizon support was no help, and the articles I saw here didnt seem to address this issue.

I was recently given a BB torch for work and am able to get my inbox email fine but I have several subfolders that I have created to organize my incoming emails. I can see the folders on my BB but can see any emails that are in there, I've checked some of the email settings and the reconsile settings but there is no were that I have found on the BB for me to chose the folders I want to reconsile. Is there some place I havent' checked? or do I have to use the Desktop manager to reconsile my subfolder emails?

I have added email account on my new Galaxy S5 with Exchange ActiveSync to connect my Exchange 2010 mailbox.It works like a charm, I can get all of my emails, I have selected which subfolders I want to synchronise with push method instead of default manual method.
My problem is that when I recevied a new email which is redirect to a subfolder on my email box, this email is also redirected in this subfolder on my phone.This is not user-friendly at all, because I have to open "View all folders/push '+' button" to see if I have a new email in a subfolder and also to open it.I have looked for a way to see in one place, the Inbox mails and all subfolders that I which to synchronise without success.
Do you know if it's possible to do that on Android ?I can't believe that all Android's people in the world are using my bad method to see emails in subfolders :-).
I just recently upgraded my Xoom to ICS and linked it up to my companies Outlook using Active Exchange. Everything is working fine except for syncing my contacts. I have subfolders under my Contacts folder (e.g. Work, Personal, etc.) that are not visible/syncing. Is there a way either within the native e-mail client or an app that will let me sync the contacts subfolders? I do not want to root the Xoom. My iPhone does this natively but I'm not sure that ICS can.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the Bionic and have loaded Zumocast on my laptop and my desktop. My desktop music library is a few thousand song files in one folder. I get to listen to them using the random button on my Bionic with no problems. I have started Ripping all my music CDs to my laptop. They are stored in the Music file, the a sub file for each artist, then a sub album for each album, then the individual files. I must open each folder down to the album folder to listen to my laptop music. This means I can not use random and listen to all my files of all albums. My question is obviously, How can I listen to all the files without manually opening each folder to access them? Can Zumocast do this, or can you suggest a way for me to group all the music in one big playlist to access with Zumocast?

I believe that it just stopped syncing last week and I believe that it was following a Motorola update, but cannot say for sure. Under Data Delivery, both Background Data and Data enabled are checked green. However, this is interesting because Email and corporate sync is grayed out on that screen. When I go to Account, checking the sync options is not possible, but I can do a manual sync. Please note, at one time, these options to sync Contacts, Gmail and Calendar were available. I've pulled the batter. I really do not want to reset to factory default. Suggestions? (Please note this is a company Gmail account, not just regular Gmail.)

I don't know if my thread title makes sense but basically what I would like to know is what are the advantages of downloading the Gmail app vs just setting up a Gmail account through my BIS (Email Settings/Add Account)? My main objective here is wireless contacts sync. I have read a lot of negative feedback regarding Gmail on a BlackBerry but I will not really even be using this for email all to often, although I will from time to time.
What I have done is just added my new Gmail account through the native BlackBerry email setup and then downloaded Google Sync. I downloaded the Gmail app but I didn't really like the UI and I like to have all 3 of my email accounts go into the same folder.
When I get an email I like how the blackberry automatically opens up the email application if I pull it out of the holster.The only problem is that it pulls up the Messages inbox and not my gmail account inbox.Any way to fix this or do anything about it? I have the gmail enhanced plugin if that makes a difference.Also on a totally unrelated note is there a way to search the gmail server from the gmail plugin app?

I ask, because I have multiple email accounts on my phone, gmail, hotmail, etc.. gmail is on the native gmail app, which is currently pushing... but the others are in the HTC Mail app.
I'd rather have 1 app for everything, instead of bouncing between.. IMAP is IMAP.. which the HTC Mail app supports (for moving to and from folders).. but if it doesn't push using the IDLE command (like gmail app does).. then I'm stuck where I am.
I am using Nokia messaging on my E72 with my gmail account...is it normal that my gprs/umts connection remains always active to check new mail? I thought that Nokia messaging worked the same as blackberry smartphones, so my phone has to use gprs/umts connection only when nokia messaging server sends him a notification of an incoming mail...is is possibile to let e72 work this way?

I select the GMail icon and enter my @gmail.com email address and password then the phone sits there for a while and punts me back to the main mail screen. No gmail account setup, no error, nothing.
http://email.nokia.com doesn't recognize any of my email addresses, so am I hooped?
I was able to setup my google apps account with IMAP settings, but it can't maintain a connection for more than a few minutes so is virtually useless and was hoping an account setup as a proper gmail account might work better.
