I use Htc one m8 and a Google nexus 7. I store my contacts on gmail. My question is that all my contact photos show up on my computer and Nexus but some photos do not show on my HTC. The same images are missing from my wife's HTC. These are not large images, some just clipart.
View 11 Repliesi have an lg g3 phone, but since last week all the photos stored in the internal memory are not showing at gallery app. I already rebooted the phone, check for updates, took out the battery, and nothing looks like the photos are gone.
but if i review the files stored, the pictures are there, just they do not appear in GALLERY.
When I do write an SMS to someone I clearly see her name but I get the reply on another thread with the phone number instead of hear name so 2 problem here, why another thread and why the phone number rather the name. Same thing when someone send me an SMS I do receive it as a number rather then the name and when I do reply it creates a new thread with the name of the person.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got the HTC One M8 ( I previously had the HTC One X and loved that phone) and I have easily connected it to my car's bluetooth. BUT none of the phone book contacts have loaded. I cannot even get my recent calls (history). So if I want to place a call, I have to dial it manually on the car's keypad...which kind of defeats the whole purpose of voice calling and bluetooth connectivity.
I have done a factory reset of the car's system, disconnected the phone and re-connected it. And all of my contacts are on BOTH my phone storage and my SIM storage (which makes for quite a weighty phone book)!!
I use gmail for my contacts. I noticed when I got my new S5 and logged into gmail some of my contacts had photos and some did not. When I went into edit contact on my desktop there was a photo that I had put in there before.
I checked to make sure that my phone was using my gmail acount for my contacts and it is.
I tried the trick of deleting the gmail account in the service books, but the gmail account is not there. How to get this gmail contact list off my torch 9850?

I've had my phone for a couple of days, and I noticed I don't get notifications for Gmail. I do get a beep, but I don't get anything visual. (What if I didn't hear the beep?) There used to be a number on the Gmail icon, showing how many messages I had.

But after adding my gmail account to the mail app it doesn't display my emails from gmail. It just says no mail pull down to refresh". View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been enjoying my new Galaxy S6 for the past couple days but one thing I've noticed is that I'm not receiving any Gmail push notifications. I only ever notice new emails getting pulled in when I open the Gmail (or Inbox) app, and it executes a refresh now that the app is open. If I'm not using the app or my phone's screen is off -- nothing.
I've tried a number of different things, including making sure Power Saving mode is turned off and ensuring that auto sync is enabled for my Google account. I've also made sure that all the appropriate Gmail labels are set to notify me.
One thing I've noticed, in the process of discovery for my Gmail issues, is that when looking at my Google sync information on my phone, the "last synced at" time is usually very out of date.. sometimes it's a couple hours ago, sometimes it's a day ago. I'm wondering if my phone is for some reason just not polling on a regular, more reasonable interval.
FYI I'm getting push notifications from other apps (including Hangouts) as expected.
Ever since I updated my OS to 6 , everytime I turn my phone off it loses all the app customization like where they are placed on my home screen. The media folder is completely wiped every time aswell. I do not know whats wrong, but the camera, pictures, music, videos and instant messaging are there to click but have no picture and they are empty and all the apps that should be in them show on my home screen. When I put different themes on they all just show up as question marks. Does this happen to anyone else. I have to restore my phone every time it dies and it is a brand new phone blackberry sent to me.

When I sync, it says in iTunes that the album is on the phone, but it's not. What's gone wrong? I seem to remember this happening before, but I can't remember how I fixed it.

I believe that it just stopped syncing last week and I believe that it was following a Motorola update, but cannot say for sure. Under Data Delivery, both Background Data and Data enabled are checked green. However, this is interesting because Email and corporate sync is grayed out on that screen. When I go to Account, checking the sync options is not possible, but I can do a manual sync. Please note, at one time, these options to sync Contacts, Gmail and Calendar were available. I've pulled the batter. I really do not want to reset to factory default. Suggestions? (Please note this is a company Gmail account, not just regular Gmail.)
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhat is happening: Notifications like photo comments, tags, favorites, likes, game notifications are not showing up under the action center. This is happening for a certain number of applications (Facebook, Twitter, Path, 6tag, etc). Mostly, none native applications. Only native applications and a few third party applications are showing up in the Action Center as well in the Settings under 'Notifications+Actions.'
What I have tried to do to resolve the issue: I have uninstalled the applications, reboot the phone, reinstalled the applications, checked the settings of the applications itself (eg. checked facebook settings for notifications - they were on). And lastly, restarted/refreshed/formatted the phone. Also, I tried to remove those icons from the lockscreen for their corresponding applications (I've read that somewhere in MS Answers), they said application notifications will only show if they are allowed to run in the background (check) and if they are not included in the Quick Status for the Lockscreen (check).
What I got on my hands: I have a lumia 1320 running the latest firmware available from MS/Nokia, Lumia Denim. I have a 16gb micro SD card in the phone.
Last year I went on holiday and at the time I took lots of photos, around 500 in total. However some of the photos aren't displaying the image of the photo, just black or white squares. When I took the pictures they registered as pictures and you could see the photo without any problem. Soon after I returned home, when I tried to upload them to my laptop, I noticed some weren't displaying anything anymore. The photo thumbnail is just a black or white square, and when I tap on it pulls up the 'photo' but there is no image. I'm uploading them to Facebook and I thought it was just an issue with the file format (even though they were taken on the iPhone) and maybe they would display once uploaded, but they haven't. If I remember correctly, when I checked the file size on my laptop they read 0KB. What happened to my photos? Can I get them back?Â
This is what it looks like. They used to be photos but now they're blank thumbnails. The exact same happens but in black on some photos.

When one of my phone contacts texts me, their name has a small mobile phone icon at the side of their name instead of the standard icon.This icon also shows up in my email inbox and BBM when they text me, and I can also open their texts in my email and BBM.I can also reply via SMS using my email and my BBM.When they text me a message, the standard message symbol doesn't appear, although the light flashes the colour I have set to that contact, and a BBM symbol comes up. If I open the message in the SMS or Email inbox, the BBM symbol disappears. I've tried rebooting the phone, and it doesn't do this with any other of my contacts.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi loaded an app called "CLEAN SWEEP, and " Whats APP".. does any one of these apps change some properties that are hard to find that now makes any of my pictures i download from my messaging app, or camera go straight to "MY FILES" instead of showing in MY GALLERY like they used to do. I have deleted the old download folder to see if it wold start a new one , and it did, but still is not showing up in my gallery, just my files. the only pics showing up in my gallery are the ones on my sd card.

Then, as of last night, I haven't been getting any emails to my phone. I tried taking out the battery and restarting it that way but that didn't help. I really want to be able to get my emails on my phone, because that's part of the reason I got a smartphone in the first place.
