Nokia :: E72 - Unable To Move Subfolders To Root Folder
Mar 14, 2010
I tried to manage the folders and subfolders in my Nokia E72 but I was not able to move the /Connectivity Folder to the /Root Folder, same thing with the /Games Folder. In my Nokia E71 the /Connectivity Folder is in the /Root Folder, the way I like it to be.
/Connectivity and /Games Folder is supposedly in the /Root Folder or otherwise there must have an option for us to move that, but there isn't.
I've just performed upgrade to ICS and now it seems that I can not move email items from Sent folder on my Exchange account. In other folders it is OK, only Sent items are affected. On previous Android OS version I could do that, as well as on my iPad and iPhone.
My question has nothing to do with a hardware issue. In itunes I have about 300 or so ringtones in the MUSIC folder. How I did that is beyond me. I would be grateful if someone could tell me how to move them all to the TONES folder where they belong.
I was able to create folders on my Bold, but don't see that option on the Torch...is this true? A key function like that? I heard a trick if you use Landscape you can add, and I was able to then my shortcut bar disappeared so I deleted the new folder and now of course I cannot add another folder with that trick..
I downloaded the You Tube application to my E63 and was looking to move it to my favourites folder but inadvertently moved it to the root folder. How do I find the root folder on my E63 and thereafter move it to my favourites folder?
I have created a nokia email account, selected the 10 folders that I want to have syncronised and added the gmail account to my E72. However the subfolders are not showing up on my phone even though the inbox is working 100%.
I would like to have a different folder on my iPhone for photos that I use like a photo album. I don't want to have them all in my regular folder and don't want to have to wait for iPhoto to list them out every time I plug in the phone.Â
I got my E72 yesterday and am quite impressed with Nokia Messaging so far (I previously used RoadSync on my N82 for syncing with our exchange server). One thing that's bugging me, though, is that when emails come in to one of my subfolders (this is the Mail for Exchange mailbox), there is no new email notification on the main screen. Is that right? Can anything be done about this? Like most people, I filter all my work emails into subfolders, so I need to know when something appears in one of them. If I can't change this, I'll need to go back to Roadsync. Any ideas or comments?
I was wondering if one can manage photos on one's phone? In other words, I would like to move photos from one folder to another, or even create a new folder and move photos from one folder to another.
When I take a picture it automatically goes into the Camera Roll folder. How do I move a picture from "camera roll" to "another folder" using the phone? Up to now I've had to download the picture to my computer and then use Windows Explorer to move it. I'm sure it must be able to be done on the phone itself.
I use SMS for work and need to keep saved sent and received messages. I am getting SIM memory full message. How do I move the SMS saved folder to the SD card?
I just got a S6 Edge. In the app drawer there are four folders (Google, Verizon, Samsung, Tools and Amazon) with apps in them. I would like to delete one of those folders and put the apps individually into the app drawer. It won't let me do this. I can move apps from the app drawer to the home pages but not the other way around. Is there a way to do this?
Today I noticed that the email folder is not there any more. Only the messages folder exists. I tried removing the battery. Erasing the email account and re-creating it, but no luck. Emails are in the main messages folder but I do not see a seperate email folder. .
I have a Curve 8530. How to remove something from a folder to home screen...I downloaded a new theme which allows more icons on home screen and would like to put a program from a folder there for faster access.
I have Samsung Moment the notification ringtones are ogg files. Anyone knows how to pull them off the sd card. When converted it puts it in music folder but you can select them from there
What I finding is happening is that images (captured with the camera in the DCIM folder) and MP3s are being removed and placed into the LOST.DIR folder of the SD Card (internal memory isn't a problem). For example, the most recent occurrence was where by I copied on 4GB of music onto the phone and then a short time later after disconnecting the USB cable, I found that quite a number (2.7GB) of the files disappeared into the LOST.DIR folder.
I verified that the files were the orignal MP3's by changing the extension of the files to .mp3 and was able to play the file. Other times I've taken a photo with the camera and saved the JPG on the SD card, a few days later the file disappeared. The problem has occurred on Android version 2.3.5 and even now after updating to 2.3.6. I don't have any 3rd party music or photo apps. The SD Card is a 32GB Kingston class 10 card which I formatted in the phone before copying any data to it.
Each time OVI starts I get en error popup: "Music initialization failed, Unable to set the watch folder". I click OK and OVI then seems to work fine. I've tried setting a watch folder, and switching off music sync (which I don't want anyway). How can I make it forget the damned music? Using XP.
So last week I accidentally screwed up my S5 by deleting the "google play store" app after successfully rooting. I did not realize that so many "other" apps rely on that. I used Kies to get back to a factory reset state (as I forgot to do a NANROID backup). So I am happy for that but I now can not re-root my phone as it keeps failing. My question is am I only able to root once ?
why there is no way to create a shortcut to a folder or a file inside a folder in your memory card, it seems to me a very important function and yet no one complains but me.I have an office file which I use daily which is saved in E:My filesaccountshomeofficeworddaily.docIt would be great to add a shortcut to that file on the desktop. or at least to that folder.Or lets say I'm listening to an audiobook which is in: E:My filesAudioAudiobookspersonalBorn to runCD5chapter 4.mp3Every time I want to listen to this I have to dig deep in the file manager.
I'm kinda new to Blackberry, been toying around with my BB8310 and was trying to organize the applications into folders and such. I've searched and read thru some tutorials and stuff on how to do it. However, whenever I press the menu or alt + trackball when I highlight the application, there's only the "move" option. There's no "move to folder" option. What am I missing here? I am on a BB8310 with OS 4.5. Can someone please enlighten me. Sorry if this has been discussed before. I did a search on this in the forum itself and didn't find anything.
I tried to move pictures from the "picture library" folder into one that I created, (I had to copy and paste them) then once they were in the new folder I noticed that there was doubles of the pictures I tried to move, so I deleted them from the picture library and they also deleted out of the new folder, is there any way that I can move them from picture library to a new folder without losing them?
