Apr 26, 2012I am a fan of "organizing", don't want apps all over the place, like them nicely organized into folders. Everything (I want to move) will move into a folder except the "newsstand". Even the person at the local store noticed this and couldn't make it go into a folder. Is there a trick to get it off the "front page" as a stand-alone app and into a folder? It appears I can't even uninstall it.

/Connectivity and /Games Folder is supposedly in the /Root Folder or otherwise there must have an option for us to move that, but there isn't.

I would like to delete one of those folders and put the apps individually into the app drawer. It won't let me do this. I can move apps from the app drawer to the home pages but not the other way around. Is there a way to do this?

0) I have two message in my Inbox, Remove and replace the battery and switch on the device. After that I format E:Mass Storage and close File manager
1) In Messaging Options I select Settings and than Other and change the Memory in user to E:Mass Storage
2) I'm asked if I'd like to "copy all messages to the new message memory". I click on "Yes"
3) I'm asked if I'd like to "Save original messages" and I click "No" as I'd like to use the new stoage exclusively
After that the Inbox is empty.

Mar 19, 2012What I finding is happening is that images (captured with the camera in the DCIM folder) and MP3s are being removed and placed into the LOST.DIR folder of the SD Card (internal memory isn't a problem). For example, the most recent occurrence was where by I copied on 4GB of music onto the phone and then a short time later after disconnecting the USB cable, I found that quite a number (2.7GB) of the files disappeared into the LOST.DIR folder.
I verified that the files were the orignal MP3's by changing the extension of the files to .mp3 and was able to play the file. Other times I've taken a photo with the camera and saved the JPG on the SD card, a few days later the file disappeared. The problem has occurred on Android version 2.3.5 and even now after updating to 2.3.6. I don't have any 3rd party music or photo apps. The SD Card is a 32GB Kingston class 10 card which I formatted in the phone before copying any data to it.

Along with seemingly everyone else out there, I have no intention of ever using this app. Stop shoving it in our faces and let us remove it. If this is some strategy to get people to use Newsstand, you're failing in a laughably miserable way - why else are there so many pre-iOS 5.1 tutorials on how to remove it?

Jul 1, 2012I have the NewsStand on my iPad and have 2 paid subscriptions that I read regularly. I recently tried to get these two on my iPhone. When I touch the NewsStand app on my iPhone it takes me to (assumedly) the App store but there's not much there...
What I see is: Upper left, "The Daily". Upper Right, "Bloomberg Businessweek".
Underneath, about 20 entries of Free stuff.
Period.
I do not have the option to search (clicking the "search" icon below takes me to searching for apps, NOT for magazines). When I "search" for National Geographic I find Nat Geo apps but no NG magazine.
HOW do I locate my two magazines ON MY iPHONE so that I can download them again? When I click on the NewsStand on my iPad I get an entire screen full of magazines, category choices etc.

BB Curve 83xx :: Missing "Move To Folder" Function
Jan 4, 2010I'm kinda new to Blackberry, been toying around with my BB8310 and was trying to organize the applications into folders and such. I've searched and read thru some tutorials and stuff on how to do it. However, whenever I press the menu or alt + trackball when I highlight the application, there's only the "move" option. There's no "move to folder" option. What am I missing here? I am on a BB8310 with OS 4.5. Can someone please enlighten me. Sorry if this has been discussed before. I did a search on this in the forum itself and didn't find anything.
