I have a Curve 8530. How to remove something from a folder to home screen...I downloaded a new theme which allows more icons on home screen and would like to put a program from a folder there for faster access.

The other day I updated my Quick Pull app. I forgot to reset the times in which i wanted it to reboot. Last night I remembered and set the time. I normally set it for 3, but since it was 3 it wouldn't be able to reboot until this evening. After I was done with my phone, I rebooted it manually by going to the app and clicking reboot. My battery was also low in the red so I stuck the charger in it. When I woke up this morning my phone was dead, if had fell on the floor and the charger came out. I put the charger back in a waited a little while for it to charge. When it came on, it only went to the Cricket screen, but would not go to the home screen. I took the battery out multiple times, I waited patiently, yet my phone is still stuck on the cricket screen.. Is there anyway to reset it so that it can work again?

I'd like to be able to just have the Apps shown. I'm sure there's probably a theme out there to do it, but I'd rather not have to use a theme.

I can't find my BB messenger icon anymore. It's not in the IM folder or my home screen folder and I don't have any icons "hidden". It is downloaded.

Do the same messages from the earth one (which I assume means email) go into the plain envelope one which I think means ALL messages including BB PIN Messages? And then to other texts show up in the plain one?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 8520, and suddenly tonight, I have a read message icon on the home screen that won't go away. I have no emails or messages at all on my phone anymore, and I cleared the messages from the advanced tab thingy on the desktop manager. I've done a battery pull, turned it off and waited a few minutes before turning it back on, and nothing has worked. I even tried sending a text message to my phone from my husband's, and it showed up as 2 messages on the icon, but when I deleted that new text msg, it went back down to 1 read message and is still there.

It occurs when I try to reply or send a new message from my "Desktop" email. I have done everything that has been recommended--including a complete wipe and reload of Enterprise Activation. The other email program (non exchange/enterprise) on my blackberry works perfectly fine.

For example, I moved one of the default home screen icons to the second screen, leaving a hole. Now I'm trying to move an icon from the second screen into the hole I created. I can drag to the right and create a new screen, but it will not break through to the left onto the home screen.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm listening to music, or more likely a book on my iPhone, I double press the home button to show the basic music controls forward, back, play or pause. Way to often I go to hit pause and accidentally hit one of the other very nearby buttons like skip forward or skip backward. When listening to a book chapter that is 40 minutes long and having no clue where I'm at in the chapter, this can be super annoying. So - is there any way to customize and separate these buttons so that they're not so close to each other? My fingers aren't that fat, the touch separation between these buttons must be about a millimeter. Totally frustrating to lose your place like that. Would be cool if they were far enough away that I could hit the button I want without looking at the phone, or at least the play/pause button was much larger.is there an app that can change these controls, or a way to make a request to Apple?

Not to sound too picky but does anyone else feel to switch on bluetooth is a pain in the backside, as you have to trudge through a number the menus? Is it possible to move this icon to the home screen? I've checked but i cant seem to find an app that places an icon on the home screen and is linked directly to the iPhone function, does this even exist?

My Defy has an odd problem whereby every so often I am not able to move apps around the home screen, or add new ones. If I click and hold on an existing app icon, or an app in the drawer, then I get the vibration as normal and I can drag the app around the screen but:I never get the green highlight showing new places where I can put the icon, andI can't drag to another page of the home screen: the side bars never turn green to let me flip to the next page.I also can't resize widgets like the clock or weather when it gets in this state.The only way I've found to clear this fault is to reboot the phone, which is a bit of a pain.

Unlike other issues I've read about in other posts, there is no placeholder, error icon or ANYTHING in with my other photos, they just simply aren't there.
The other day I somehow mysteriously took a few photos that DID save to my folder, but just now I looked back and they have disappeared.
Is it possible to recover or restore a deleted folder? I accidentaly deleted my "Media" folder, and I want to restore that folder with the little 'Play' icon.

I can't find any of them. I did reboot the phone, pulled the battery reinstalled the OS but then still having the same problem.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to synchronize my laptop calendar with my BB calendar through Microsoft Outlook with no success. When I use the BB Desktop Software for the Curve 8530, I did the following:
I connected the laptop to the BB with a USB cable. I invoked the BB Desktop Software and connected with the BB. I viewed the conflict resolution dialogue box and updated both fields in the device and Microsoft Outlook with highlighted values.
I received error message "Error encountered. Error code - 0x80040fb3. Check documentation." I pressed "OK". I received the message "Unable to complete synchronization". I pressed "OK". Then I hit the "Synch" button on the dialogue box. The message "one or more configured folders is not available. Update folder mapping and try again."
Then I clicked on "organizer" button in the dialogue box. I clicked on "configure settings". I clicked "advanced" after seeing that the "calendar" and "address" book were checked. The error message "no available message stores" was displayed. I clicked "OK". The "Advanced" menu appeared, however the "map folder" button was not highlighted and the message "no folder mapping is available for calendar section".

I have a BB Tour and am running OS v5.0.0.662. I would like to have a folder on my home screen that shows ONLY MMS messages, not SMS with MMS. I have searched this forum and Google but have run out of patience. I see plenty of solutions to separate email messages from SMS/MMS, but this is not what I want to do. I know that I can go into View Folder and navigate to the MMS Inbox folder, which shows only MMS messages. So, how can I get a shortcut to this on the home screen?
