IPhone :: Move Ringtones From Music Folder To Tones Folder?
May 29, 2012
My question has nothing to do with a hardware issue. In itunes I have about 300 or so ringtones in the MUSIC folder. How I did that is beyond me. I would be grateful if someone could tell me how to move them all to the TONES folder where they belong.
I have Samsung Moment the notification ringtones are ogg files. Anyone knows how to pull them off the sd card. When converted it puts it in music folder but you can select them from there
What I finding is happening is that images (captured with the camera in the DCIM folder) and MP3s are being removed and placed into the LOST.DIR folder of the SD Card (internal memory isn't a problem). For example, the most recent occurrence was where by I copied on 4GB of music onto the phone and then a short time later after disconnecting the USB cable, I found that quite a number (2.7GB) of the files disappeared into the LOST.DIR folder.
I verified that the files were the orignal MP3's by changing the extension of the files to .mp3 and was able to play the file. Other times I've taken a photo with the camera and saved the JPG on the SD card, a few days later the file disappeared. The problem has occurred on Android version 2.3.5 and even now after updating to 2.3.6. I don't have any 3rd party music or photo apps. The SD Card is a 32GB Kingston class 10 card which I formatted in the phone before copying any data to it.
I followed several sets of instructions for converting a file to m4r, but I can't get a simple boring ringtone onto my iPhone 4S running ios 5.0.1.
The reason I'm trying to do this is to have just a simple, boring ringtone. I'm going to be in a professional environment, and all of the ringtones IMO, are a bit too wacky.
I try to drag and drop the m4r file to the Tones folder in iTunes - it works, but when I sync the phone, the stubburn tone will not appear in the Tones folder on the actual phone.
I would like to have a different folder on my iPhone for photos that I use like a photo album. I don't want to have them all in my regular folder and don't want to have to wait for iPhoto to list them out every time I plug in the phone.Â
I downloaded a few ringtones for my iPhone and as i tryed to drag them into the Ringtone folder, it wouldnt go.I started reserching and I read all about the .mr4 thing so I know that thing is its impossible to drag the file onto my desktop... Why does Apple have to make things so difficult.. Why issnt it possible to do the most logic thing, simply drag the file into the ringtone folder?i have had iPhones for years now, and everytime i want to do something that is so simple to do on anyother phone int he universe, it feels like getting a razor wire enima when i have to do it on apple productes. and its suppose to be so simple and everything, but a ringtone i have to drag out to my desktop and delete it from my itunes then rename the file format and add it back in?.in what world is that easy?.. on top of that, i cant even do it.
I was wondering if one can manage photos on one's phone? In other words, I would like to move photos from one folder to another, or even create a new folder and move photos from one folder to another.
When I take a picture it automatically goes into the Camera Roll folder. How do I move a picture from "camera roll" to "another folder" using the phone? Up to now I've had to download the picture to my computer and then use Windows Explorer to move it. I'm sure it must be able to be done on the phone itself.
I tried to manage the folders and subfolders in my Nokia E72 but I was not able to move the /Connectivity Folder to the /Root Folder, same thing with the /Games Folder. In my Nokia E71 the /Connectivity Folder is in the /Root Folder, the way I like it to be. /Connectivity and /Games Folder is supposedly in the /Root Folder or otherwise there must have an option for us to move that, but there isn't.
I use SMS for work and need to keep saved sent and received messages. I am getting SIM memory full message. How do I move the SMS saved folder to the SD card?
I just got a S6 Edge. In the app drawer there are four folders (Google, Verizon, Samsung, Tools and Amazon) with apps in them. I would like to delete one of those folders and put the apps individually into the app drawer. It won't let me do this. I can move apps from the app drawer to the home pages but not the other way around. Is there a way to do this?
Having issues with the S6 ringtone and message alerts? I copied a folder called media to my S6 when I first updated to 5.1.1 and I could select my ringtone and message alert tone from this folder, but yesterday it went back to default and now i can't select anything in the media folder, coincidentally my video folder i used to be able to see is now not showing in the video player but is there if i browse my files?? Is there a cache clear for the system ringtone notification app?
Updated my Blackberry software to v5.0 on my Tour 9630 and now I'm missing my AOL email folder. Now receiving my emails in my messages folder. Does anyone have a solution to getting my AOL email folder back and getting my emails sent there as well. I've tried a couple things with no luck!
I've got my messages, emails, etc. etc. moved out of the messages folder to their respective icons. The only thing I can't figure out and haven't yet found in the forums, is how to move the missed calls from my message folder.I don't want to use the messages folder for anything. I've tried hiding it but it still shows the missed calls. Is there a way to make a missed calls folder, or add them to the sms/mms folder like my voicemail notices are?
why there is no way to create a shortcut to a folder or a file inside a folder in your memory card, it seems to me a very important function and yet no one complains but me.I have an office file which I use daily which is saved in E:My filesaccountshomeofficeworddaily.docIt would be great to add a shortcut to that file on the desktop. or at least to that folder.Or lets say I'm listening to an audiobook which is in: E:My filesAudioAudiobookspersonalBorn to runCD5chapter 4.mp3Every time I want to listen to this I have to dig deep in the file manager.
My battery came out, and when I turned my Blackberry Curve 8900 back on , my SMS folder was missing.I was able to find it by: 1. Clicking the blackberry button 2. Clicking messages 3. Clicking the BB button again and scrolling to "View Folder" There I have options like "browser messages" "facebook messages" "mms inbox" etc. There are two sections SMS inbox and SMS outbox. I can get to my text messages that way, but its really tedious. If I click on SMS inbox it takes me to what used to be my text screen. When I click the BB button again, there are no "move options"Anyone know how to get it back to being its own icon on the front screen?
Could anyone help me please, My user folder has somehow made it's way into my pictures folder, folder. I can't delete (which i suspect i shouldn't) or move it. This doesn't inter fear with the running of the phone but it annoys me. Could someone tell me how to move it please. I suspect it's really easy but don't want to do something wrong and mess up my phone.
I deleted the applications folder on my BlackBerry Torch 9810, and although i still have the applications that were in the folder, the folder is no longer there, so the only way for me to access those applications is through the search.
I have a Curve 8530. How to remove something from a folder to home screen...I downloaded a new theme which allows more icons on home screen and would like to put a program from a folder there for faster access.
Today I noticed that the email folder is not there any more. Only the messages folder exists. I tried removing the battery. Erasing the email account and re-creating it, but no luck. Emails are in the main messages folder but I do not see a seperate email folder. .
