Samsung S6 - can I create subfolders under music folder on phone?
Want to keep various types of music, audio, podcasts in various folders.
Also want to use stock music player but am open to others if that will not accommodate what I am trying to do...
I have deleted my sd-card recently and dont have a music folder on my phone. How can I create a folder where the phone can recognise music files and play them on the phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI tried to manage the folders and subfolders in my Nokia E72 but I was not able to move the /Connectivity Folder to the /Root Folder, same thing with the /Games Folder. In my Nokia E71 the /Connectivity Folder is in the /Root Folder, the way I like it to be.
/Connectivity and /Games Folder is supposedly in the /Root Folder or otherwise there must have an option for us to move that, but there isn't.
why there is no way to create a shortcut to a folder or a file inside a folder in your memory card, it seems to me a very important function and yet no one complains but me.I have an office file which I use daily which is saved in E:My filesaccountshomeofficeworddaily.docIt would be great to add a shortcut to that file on the desktop. or at least to that folder.Or lets say I'm listening to an audiobook which is in: E:My filesAudioAudiobookspersonalBorn to runCD5chapter 4.mp3Every time I want to listen to this I have to dig deep in the file manager.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI downloaded mp3 files, put them in LG PC Suite and transfered them to my G3 and when I open the standard music app (the purple square) it doesn't see the mp3's. So I looked for them in my file manager and saw all of them stored in the LG PC Suite Folder. Even after transfering the mp3's to the Music Folder the music app didn't see the mp3's. I did use PowerAmp which works great. But I'd still like to use the standard music app which i find easier to use.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the Bionic and have loaded Zumocast on my laptop and my desktop. My desktop music library is a few thousand song files in one folder. I get to listen to them using the random button on my Bionic with no problems. I have started Ripping all my music CDs to my laptop. They are stored in the Music file, the a sub file for each artist, then a sub album for each album, then the individual files. I must open each folder down to the album folder to listen to my laptop music. This means I can not use random and listen to all my files of all albums. My question is obviously, How can I listen to all the files without manually opening each folder to access them? Can Zumocast do this, or can you suggest a way for me to group all the music in one big playlist to access with Zumocast?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have added email account on my new Galaxy S5 with Exchange ActiveSync to connect my Exchange 2010 mailbox.It works like a charm, I can get all of my emails, I have selected which subfolders I want to synchronise with push method instead of default manual method.
My problem is that when I recevied a new email which is redirect to a subfolder on my email box, this email is also redirected in this subfolder on my phone.This is not user-friendly at all, because I have to open "View all folders/push '+' button" to see if I have a new email in a subfolder and also to open it.I have looked for a way to see in one place, the Inbox mails and all subfolders that I which to synchronise without success.
Do you know if it's possible to do that on Android ?I can't believe that all Android's people in the world are using my bad method to see emails in subfolders :-).
I have BB Curve 8520 and want to create a folder in media file to keep some personal records ie. Pictures.But i am unable to create if created then pictures are showing in all pictures file. i created a folder in menu but there is no option to keep these records.

Though once when my brother sent me an application that got saved in the games folder via bluetooth. I could open the folder for about 5 sec, before it again crashed.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy previous phone was a Palm Centro and I needed a new phone because the power button was very difficult to activate.On my Centro, I was able to create a personal apps folder of the apps I use the most. The Quick Start guide that came with my phone has two pages expplaining basic functions. One box shows being able to Move/Delete Icons, but it only shows how to delete them. Use the long Touvh to move it to the trash can icon. But I don't want to delete them, I want to move or copy them to a personal apps folder.

How do you create an email folder on the E7? When I try to save a received email, the only folder offered is the Inbox and obviously there is no point in saving it where it is already. There seems to be no way to create another folder (for example, one called Archive). Or where to find the existing folders through the phone browser on a pc?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had an iPhone 5s which I broke so I am using a friend's old Galaxy and am debating on getting the iPhone 6, but one thing I REALLY like about Android is the fact that it automatically places photos generated by certain apps into their own albums, in particular WhatsApp and Viber. On my iPhone these pics would just get intermingled in the Camera Roll album. I read another post that said this was the responsibility of the app developer to make that possible. Why they would make it possible for Android and not iOS?

I've always stored my music in folders sorted by artist and never bothered with tagging as long as the file names started with numbers. I have over 300 gigs in music so I'm not about to start tagging now. my 32 gig sd card has 4500 music files.The music player doesn't play nice with my sorting - artist view winds up showing the same artists 10 times or sorts out compiltation albums while folder view has every single album (300-400 or so) sorted alphabetically.
I would like to go into the external sd card and play directly from there. I can do that, but only a single track will play and you can't use any other apps or browse when the track plays. Am I stupid or something?This is the main reason why I've always used Cowon music players or my sansa clip, I can simply go into folders and play. I have media monkey and love it but even there I use the folder directory.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was trying to create a sub folder in my address book & now I can't find my original add book. The add book icon is still there, but there are no contacts in it. The best i remember i hit filter and chose business & typed in a name for what i thought would be a new folder or group. i'm not sure what happened, but I can't see any of my contacts. I have switched from personl to business & back again & it says "no contacts" on both. But if I go to email & put in a letter all of my old contacts that begin with that letter show up. & my speed dials still work. But if i go to sms/mms & do compose sms it shows "No Addresses"....well I spoke too soon...now if i go to email & type in a letter it don't show a list of ppl that begin with that letter.... I have tried taking the battery out with the phone off & on & it's still the same....
