Each time OVI starts I get en error popup: "Music initialization failed, Unable to set the watch folder". I click OK and OVI then seems to work fine. I've tried setting a watch folder, and switching off music sync (which I don't want anyway). How can I make it forget the damned music? Using XP.

View 1 Replies View Relatedlast month i started recieving an error on the phone which keeps saying initialization failed and this prevents me from making calls and it doesnt even load up my simcard...tried my simcard in other phones and it works perfectly..i have tried a couple of sim card in the phone and i still get the same error..and even without a simcard in the phone it still displays the error of initialization failed..i have tried many tips as advised onlike like reloading the software version and all but i still get the same error.

However this just runs and runs (for over an hour!). I've tried resetting the handset by taking the battery out but no joy. The PC definitely recognises the phone. Another post for a similar (though not identical issue) suggests that the sim card may have failed?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia x6 16 gb..I had it for about a week in which time I added 14gb of music and the uk maps..All was working perfectly. However.... Last Saturday I decided to use the "comes with music" voucher that came with it..I selected the music I wanted and downloaded it and was told that I had to download the DRM software to play...I clicked yes and then waited and waited..it seemed my phone had frozen as ovi player would not transfer any music to it.. I unplugged it and tried to plug back in but got the dreaded "mtp device driver failed". I have tried everything I have read on these forums and the web including:- Deleting the folder in the private folder on the mass storage card. performing a hard reset on the phone (although my music was still on the card?) Deleting all of the nokia software and running the nokia cleaner and reinstalling... Doing the above but disabling Windows media player and reanabling it a later date still no joy.. I have windows 7 home premium 64 bit on my desktop so no options to reinstall WMP just disable. I have tried to plug it into my wifes' laptop which has windows 7 home premium 32 bit and I get the same message however her nokia 5800 works fine in her laptop..

My Ovi Music software started three days ago telling me an error message, when trying to start the program "automatic login failed, please try again manually" and it keeps on doing this for hours. I am not able to stop this process and so it is not possible to try that manual login! Now I am not able to download any music with my OVI Music Unlimited account.

At first my Ovi store worked fine, but now when i try to use ovi store i get an "application initialization error”. So I restored the phone back to factory settings and tried again, but now when i try to download and install Ovi Store again, it says "Secure widget UI: Feature not supported" right after I install the program. If I try to open Ovi Store, it just jumps back to the menu without any other notifications.

I received my N97 mini two days and now attempting to transfer some music on it. I have connected the phone to my laptop via USB with everything set up successfully; however, there is no 'music' folder in any of the drives visible so I don't know where to store the music files.
what I can do to transfer music over?
I tried transferring a few different folders with music in them to my N700 but no matter how I do it , they don't end up in the "MUSIC PLAYER" folder . In the end , I use the "old Nokia suite" to drag & drop & it did end up in the right folder but not with its own folder , they end up as 1 folder with all the music in it.

I am trying to play them using the default music player, which I belive is the only player that can show up on the home screen. I can create my own playlist, but it looks like I have to add songs one by one to the playlist, which is a huge pain.
If I use "all songs", then some of the garbage ringtones and mp3s that came with the phone also get included.
So how do I add a large amount of songs to a playlist?
On a side note, the default music player doesn't support OGG files. How do I enable OGG support on default music player?

I installed it successfully and tried downloading 5 songs. All of them failed to download after completing 1 MB. I don't know the reason but it has deducted 5 songs from my voucher pack. With the T-Mobile wireless broadband I can browse stations, but when trying to play a station it states "Playback Failed". View 4 Replies View RelatedI tried to manage the folders and subfolders in my Nokia E72 but I was not able to move the /Connectivity Folder to the /Root Folder, same thing with the /Games Folder. In my Nokia E71 the /Connectivity Folder is in the /Root Folder, the way I like it to be.
/Connectivity and /Games Folder is supposedly in the /Root Folder or otherwise there must have an option for us to move that, but there isn't.
