I have put a lot of thought into organizing my music collection into a folder structure that makes it easy and fast to find what I want.When I copied part of that structure to my N85, the media library ignored my folders, and presets a trashpile of songs. Impossible to find anything.How can I browse my music by folder structure?
View 5 RepliesI have updated to the latest version of maemo and installed a few apps and added some music.When I clicked on the Ovi maps icon on the front screen, it never exited from the "Looking for GPS" message, so I exited via X.After, all my files (music, docs) and subdirectories were gone, and the entire file structure visible via File Manager in PC-Suite was only the folder "cities" with some subfolders in it.I would like to add music, etc. back in without having to drastically re-install the OS or something. I did not yet back it up.Can anyone give a screen shot of the directory structure visible in PC-suite File Manager so that I can reconstruct it?
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy question has nothing to do with a hardware issue. In itunes I have about 300 or so ringtones in the MUSIC folder. How I did that is beyond me. I would be grateful if someone could tell me how to move them all to the TONES folder where they belong.

I received my N97 mini two days and now attempting to transfer some music on it. I have connected the phone to my laptop via USB with everything set up successfully; however, there is no 'music' folder in any of the drives visible so I don't know where to store the music files.
what I can do to transfer music over?
I tried transferring a few different folders with music in them to my N700 but no matter how I do it , they don't end up in the "MUSIC PLAYER" folder . In the end , I use the "old Nokia suite" to drag & drop & it did end up in the right folder but not with its own folder , they end up as 1 folder with all the music in it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMusic files (and not all of them) find themselves in my pictures folder on my E71. I sync my computer and E71 using Win7 and the latest OviSuite. I can't even delete those sound files from my photos folder. Everytime I sync, a duplicate music file is synched to the wrong folder. It uses up memory and, well, it's annoying. Can anyone help?

I am trying to play them using the default music player, which I belive is the only player that can show up on the home screen. I can create my own playlist, but it looks like I have to add songs one by one to the playlist, which is a huge pain.
If I use "all songs", then some of the garbage ringtones and mp3s that came with the phone also get included.
So how do I add a large amount of songs to a playlist?
On a side note, the default music player doesn't support OGG files. How do I enable OGG support on default music player?
Why I cannot add my favorite items from specific folder on my memory card to new playlist?

It'll pick up a tune I've selected on the phone itself, but I can't browse for music from the car controls. This was something I could do with my old HTC Wildfire.
I bought this Nokia 5310 Xpress Music. Few months after buying the games started crashing. i.e. when I go to the games folder, the phone restarts. Though once when my brother sent me an application that got saved in the games folder via bluetooth. I could open the folder for about 5 sec, before it again crashed.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI downloaded mp3 files, put them in LG PC Suite and transfered them to my G3 and when I open the standard music app (the purple square) it doesn't see the mp3's. So I looked for them in my file manager and saw all of them stored in the LG PC Suite Folder. Even after transfering the mp3's to the Music Folder the music app didn't see the mp3's. I did use PowerAmp which works great. But I'd still like to use the standard music app which i find easier to use.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia x6 16 gb..I had it for about a week in which time I added 14gb of music and the uk maps..All was working perfectly. However.... Last Saturday I decided to use the "comes with music" voucher that came with it..I selected the music I wanted and downloaded it and was told that I had to download the DRM software to play...I clicked yes and then waited and waited..it seemed my phone had frozen as ovi player would not transfer any music to it.. I unplugged it and tried to plug back in but got the dreaded "mtp device driver failed". I have tried everything I have read on these forums and the web including:- Deleting the folder in the private folder on the mass storage card. performing a hard reset on the phone (although my music was still on the card?) Deleting all of the nokia software and running the nokia cleaner and reinstalling... Doing the above but disabling Windows media player and reanabling it a later date still no joy.. I have windows 7 home premium 64 bit on my desktop so no options to reinstall WMP just disable. I have tried to plug it into my wifes' laptop which has windows 7 home premium 32 bit and I get the same message however her nokia 5800 works fine in her laptop..

I then spotted an issue where I wasn't able to browse the internet (or any other internet application for that matter) without disconnecting the WiFi connection every time I want to load a new website or load a new page in the Ovi Store. The Router I am using is only running 54 Mbps, and I'm now using it with the password disabled, just to try if that changed anything, it didn't. I havn't been able to try using a 3G connection yet, as my service provider has somehow failed at supplying me with it at the moment.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI use a Nokia N900. I have successfully connected the phone to my email provider using IMAP4/SSL. I can view incoming email notifications, and send new messages. I can also browse the content of all folders, except for the "inbox" folder.The way my provider (Rackspace.com) sets up the email account, all folders reside under the "inbox" folder. It appears that the N900's email application does not recognize the "inbox" folder as location which contains both sub folders and messages; when I try to open the "inbox" and list messages, the application briefly shows the busy indicator, but then nothing happens (it does not show the folder content). I can successfully view the content of any other folder (which does not have sub folders), it's just the "inbox" which is giving me problems.Is there a solution to this problem?

I transferred my photos and music from my Smasung monte to my X8 by saving them to my memory card. When i checked my X8 to ensure they had all swapped over, they had but they were all jumbled up and not in separate folders. Is there a way i can put my photos into separate folders on the X8?
