Oct 25, 2011I have separated email from SMS/MMS messages.When I select the SMS icon I can see SMS messages from a specific date ~7 days ago, but nothing more recent. When I select View Folder and select SMS Inbox I can see all my SMS messages up until current.Does anyone know how to fix the corrupt SMS/MMS icon (which is presumably pointing to a corrupt view of the SMS Inbox)?

Jul 28, 2012I have an SIII but no one seems to be viewing those forums so I thought I would ask here. I've always stored my music in folders sorted by artist and never bothered with tagging as long as the file names started with numbers. I have over 300 gigs in music so I'm not about to start tagging now. my 32 gig sd card has 4500 music files.The music player doesn't play nice with my sorting - artist view winds up showing the same artists 10 times or sorts out compiltation albums while folder view has every single album (300-400 or so) sorted alphabetically.
I would like to go into the external sd card and play directly from there. I can do that, but only a single track will play and you can't use any other apps or browse when the track plays. Am I stupid or something?This is the main reason why I've always used Cowon music players or my sansa clip, I can simply go into folders and play. I have media monkey and love it but even there I use the folder directory.

Jan 2, 2013I had CWM a couple of years ago but now suddenly Nokia Music says that this computer is not the registered one. It worked couple of days ago and is still the same one. I had to reinstall Win7 a month ago and had to register it as 'new' one but after that it worked flawless.
So those 90 days between changing of computer has not passed yet.

Jun 17, 2010I have stopped media player, walked into a meeting, and put the phone on silent. My phone rings! It's ok, because the phone is on silent, however, after it stops ringing, music starts playing and it's really loud. It plays through the phone speakers.Has anyone had an issue with this? I would love to resolve this issue asap because It's happened a number of times, especially when I don't want it to.

Dec 23, 2012last night a friend came around mine so i thought i would use have laptop whilst he had it with him to get some up to date music. i simply plugged my usb in and then dragged and dropped some of his music into the music file on the phone. all looked so simple to me. there were some messages that came up regarding some of the files not working but my friend said he got those messages when he transferred to his itunes also.
when i go to play these songs i can barely hear them at all but i can play Internet videos with volume fine, i can play things within the nokia music mix thing, i can hear my system sounds, i can hear my ringtone. i have tried the basic obvious things of looking at settings on my phone etc but the fact that all other music works has made me assume it's not a settings issue on my phone.
only other thing i have since tried is transferring from my phone to my fiancees laptop, deleting all the songs from the phone and then i put an album back on. no luck, didn't work. really gutted at the moment, just got this phone and love it but i will be gutted if there is some sort of weird restrictions causing me to not just take music from a pc.

Jan 7, 2012I tried transferring a few different folders with music in them to my N700 but no matter how I do it , they don't end up in the "MUSIC PLAYER" folder . In the end , I use the "old Nokia suite" to drag & drop & it did end up in the right folder but not with its own folder , they end up as 1 folder with all the music in it.

Apr 14, 2011I just recently found problems with downloads certain songs. Specifically the artists Chromium, Deas Vail, Celldweller and Hawthorne Heights. What happens is I download them as usual the whole file downloads with no errors BUT the songs are firstly filed incorrectly on the P.C (not in folders of artist and album). Secondly they don't have any metadata/ info embedded in the file (artist album publisher etc) and Finally but most importantly they don't play, not on my winamp or nokia media player. If I use nokia media player an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle appears next to the Song. This has only happened with those artists so far. I'm using a Nokia N8 unlimited Music subscription.

Then the song comes in and out sporadically for a couple of seconds. Then it stops for about two minutes and then plays again for a few seconds. I can't even delete those sound files from my photos folder. Everytime I sync, a duplicate music file is synched to the wrong folder. It uses up memory and, well, it's annoying. Can anyone help?

I can create my own playlist, but it looks like I have to add songs one by one to the playlist, which is a huge pain.
If I use "all songs", then some of the garbage ringtones and mp3s that came with the phone also get included.
So how do I add a large amount of songs to a playlist?
On a side note, the default music player doesn't support OGG files. How do I enable OGG support on default music player?
