My Ovi Music software started three days ago telling me an error message, when trying to start the program "automatic login failed, please try again manually" and it keeps on doing this for hours. I am not able to stop this process and so it is not possible to try that manual login! Now I am not able to download any music with my OVI Music Unlimited account.

The download starts and then after 10-50%, the download restarts. Over and over again. After multiple attempts, I get the message 'Download failed'. Really frustrating.I saw that this type of error is already being discussed, but I could find any solution posted.

I know that there is no way to synchronize my mobile with itunes in a way that pleasant me (itunes agent, itunes sync, salling mediasync give all no playing counts back to itunes). But i am happy to see, that there is an option to import my itunes library to OVI music, so i can administrate my music in itunes and all new music is imported to OVI Music for a sync with my phone.The easiest way to solve this problem would be to make the "Nokia multimedia transfer" running on a windows machine. Is there any plausible reason for not transferring the software from the Mac to Windows. Many Nokia users would be happy about that (cause i am loosing all my playlists, ratings, playing counts, if i switch to OVI Music). And i am sure that many people (including me) that have a nokia mobile and an ipod, would switch to use only the mobile, if them would be given an easy way to synchronize. What is good for an Mac user should be better for a Windows user (since there are certainly more windows user your clients, than mac user that would prefer a iphone)
My aim is to have only Music that a did not play the last month. So all songs should be deleted during the synchronisation on my phone if i heard them the past days.In itunes there is the opportunity to make selfupdating playlists (e. g. only songs not played the last month). So i hear a song on my ipod, make a synchronisation with itunes and the song disappears from the ipod and is replaced by a new song. That is the feature I am missing in OVI Music, where i have no opportunity to make selfupdating playlists.Since you have already selfupdating playlists in OVI Music implemented (recently played, last added,..) There should be a way to make a playlist called "not played the last month".Are there any plans for the future?But there is still one more problem: Some songs are double imported although the songs are only once in the itunes library. Is there the opportunity to find duplicates in the OVI Music?

View 1 Replies View RelatedNokia rebranded Nokia Music store to OVI Music in India. Earlier I had Nokia Music Store account as OVI login was not supported in Nokia Music store. So my Nokia Music account and OVI login were different. Now when login to music.ovi.com and select India as country , I am asked to login. I can login with my OVI id but then dont see remaining tracks and download history. I login with my older Nokia Music account and I can see remaining tracks and History.
Some of my friends report that in their case , their Nokia Music and OVI account are merged and tracks and history details are still there.But this has not happened in my case. Please let me know when Nokia will be able to merge 2 accounts for me. or is there any way I can do it myself? I know that similar thing happened for OVI share and Sports Tracker accounts but they were eventually merged with single OVI account.
It says network problem but everything NOT nokia works fine like IE and multiplayer games. when i try to log into nokia music or even nokia account in settings it gives me a network problem. i tried this on wifi and 4g. didnt work but everything else did. i have nokia 810 (tmobile)

After i start music store i can't login or go to main page because when i press those buttons i get error "Music store: Unable to perform operation" Tried to do hard reset and update firmware again with no help. FW: 40.0.005. I think this problem came with this new V40 firmware or shortly after that when i lost email notification from shortcut homescreen.

It should be saved to the e: mass memory, but there is no settings in the application where to change the save location?. The phone automatically makes a folder named "Ovi Music Downloads" in the memory card. It should be created in the mass memory.

I installed it successfully and tried downloading 5 songs. All of them failed to download after completing 1 MB. I don't know the reason but it has deducted 5 songs from my voucher pack. It is a loss for me.

My sister's iPhone cant get music from more than one computuer. I choose manually manage music on our family PC, select it then tells me I have to erase and sync. I do that but then when plugged into my sister's laptop the manually manage music option is no longer chEcked and if i check it i have to erase and sync again, this happened with her iPhone 4 too.

With the T-Mobile wireless broadband I can browse stations, but when trying to play a station it states "Playback Failed". When trying to connect through my w/lan (which works, as I can use it to browse the internet) the "Internet Radio Applet" states "No Network Connection". After trying this several times I have uninstalled the applet from the phone memory and installed it again in the 8 GB mass memory. No change - the same problems persist. I left my phone to charge one night before going to bed (pulled out the charger when it finished). The next morning the phone had shut down by itself and when I tried turning it on I got white lines accross the screen. That happened for a few more times (sometimes blue or green or red lines), and after I removed and put the battery back in the following has been happening since then : Starting the phoneWhite screen with Nokia logo shows upMessage "Phone start-up failed. Contact the retailer". Phone hangs. If I press the shut down button, lines appear and fade out before phone shuts down.
I tried the hard reset method, but either I am doing it wrong, or it just doesn't apply here. I tried connecting it to my PC, but it is not recognised (probably because a message to select PC Suite doesn't show up). The phone is a few months outside warranty, so it is not financially wise (or viable) to send it for repairs. I am an advanced user and I'm willing to try any flashing utilities guides to restore it to working condition. Could it be the battery needing a switch? I tried removing the memory card & SIM, but the problem persists.
Just saw this very cool music video that was created using Four iPhones playing 4 videos and synced together. It's a cover of Lady Gaga 'Bad Romance' by the New York Trio Love and Logic. Very creative the way this was done. There is also a video posted on how it was filmed.

i had transferred my music downloaded on my phone to my pc but was unable to play it on the pc then i registered my pc on the ovi player still cant play the files it says that the songs are protected under microsoft VRM & needs small update which i tried to run but it continues to say that cant connect to internet whereas i m connected to the internet.
also the musc i had trasferred on to my pc when i m trying to transfer the files back to my device the pc it does not allow me & says that this content requires licence...
