I have a problem with phone music store applications. After i start music store i can't login or go to main page because when i press those buttons i get error "Music store: Unable to perform operation" Tried to do hard reset and update firmware again with no help. FW: 40.0.005. I think this problem came with this new V40 firmware or shortly after that when i lost email notification from shortcut homescreen.

Just got my 5800 XpressMusic chrome on T mobile uk it come with "comes with music" packaging and manuel with activation pin so i assume my device is compatible with Nokia music store however when i go to register using my device i put in the pin my own details and accept all etc. i get a message saying that my device is not supported and would i like to see compatible devices or better still go to car phone warehouse and get one there?
my phone is the only way i have of getting this music as i use a mac and they are not supported what so ever not even the website. today my friend got an iphone which is his first ever mac product he has had all he could go on about is how easy everything is he is even using a pc my experience has been scratching my head trying to work out how to set up music email
Nokia rebranded Nokia Music store to OVI Music in India. Earlier I had Nokia Music Store account as OVI login was not supported in Nokia Music store. So my Nokia Music account and OVI login were different. Now when login to music.ovi.com and select India as country , I am asked to login. I can login with my OVI id but then dont see remaining tracks and download history. I login with my older Nokia Music account and I can see remaining tracks and History.
Some of my friends report that in their case , their Nokia Music and OVI account are merged and tracks and history details are still there.But this has not happened in my case. Please let me know when Nokia will be able to merge 2 accounts for me. or is there any way I can do it myself? I know that similar thing happened for OVI share and Sports Tracker accounts but they were eventually merged with single OVI account.
i've just updated the firmware (v. 52.0.007) for my nokia 5800 xm, but when i tried to open the music player application, it tells me that there is a system error. i've tried re-installing the phone update but music player still shows me a general system error. this is making me quite sad. i want my music! heck, it's an 'xpressmusic' phone.
been a bit disappointed with nokia lately. first the Internet failure and now this... don't make a nokia loyalist switch to apple!
I am unable to login to the Ovi Store on my brand new N78 because I can't sign in to my Nokia.com account. While I can sign in fine on the Internet, I can't press the sign in button below my username and password. I am able to open other links by clicking on them so this is very frustrating.

And then i tried to login to my account on ovi store, it failed too. And i tried to download apps, but the download button doesnt work. What is wrong? What should i do? I need to download stuff.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia E63. When I got it I setup my Gmail and company email on the phone with OVI mail. Everything worked fine. The I decided I want to make changed to the accounts. I removed the gmail account after which the email functionality became useless. I was forced to remove OVI mail from my phone. I reinstalled it and now it is asking for my nokia messaging username and password. I tried and tried but it just don't want to sign in. My company email account was specifically persistant in this mater and even if I got it set up it would ask me for my password to log in.
I soon resorted to deleting my Nokia OVI account in attempt to release the company email from OVI mail. I then created a new OVI account to no avail. I read that I should uninstall OVI store and restart my phone then reinstall OVI store. Now OVI store is completely unable to log in to my account (obviously because the original account is now deleted) Furthermore I am unable to change OVI store's login details. This is a huge mess. Clearly someone hasn't been thinking.
I am unable to login to Nokia store after upgrading to nokia belle. My wifi connection is working fine for everything else. But when I try to login to nokia store it gives me an error that "Unable to Complete the Operation Due to Connection Error."

Yes, I know, it's been addressed before, but I've tried everything suggested and I'm still having this problem. Have upgraded the firmware, soft reset, hard reset, run windows chkdsk on the memory card, formatted the memory card.... you name it! But it STILL freezes! Doesn't make any sense having an "Xpressmusic" that can't play any music

I am not able to stop this process and so it is not possible to try that manual login! Now I am not able to download any music with my OVI Music Unlimited account.

1. I Log In to the Nokia Store - download apps - no problem.
2. I Log off the Nokia Store ("remember me" option is OFF)
3. While I am Logged off and click on an app to download - I am automatically logged in?
4. Every time when i am logged off and want to download something, the system must ask me at least for a password to provide, but i don't see that option? - Where is it?And one more thing - when i downloaded a "free" app - it wanted to connect to the Internet.didn't read the message, but I think it was some kind of advertisement thing...obviously, i didn't allow it, and couldn't use the app (the risks are more than obvious)
When i play music from the all songs option in the music library the music player completely freezes all the time after a few songs. This happs when as soon as a new track starts to play. then the music app does not close/exit too.no problems when playing music through playlists and by genre.I have to close the music player by force by using the remove memory card feature which closes all running apps. to play music again to use the phone.is there any problem playing music in wma format? i checked the file details in the music i was playing when the player froze.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI started a backup of my N5800 over an hour ago. It finished "user files from phone memory", contacts, calendar, notes, messages, bookmarks in about 10 minutes. Then it started on "phone model-specific backup" (at 50% of the big progress bar). And hasn't progressed a pixel since then.I got fed up with watching "do not use or disconnect the phone during the operating", so I clicked "cancel". Then it asks me if I really want to cancel. I can then click the checkmark (green) and not hte red cross, and now 5 minutes later, it has not stopped. It is still at 50%, doing "phone model-specific backup". How long should I wait for it to backup my N5800? How long should I wait for the "cancel backup" button to react? 5 minutes seems that it should be possible for an operation to cancel. I'm a bit unfamilar with Windows. I'm a Linux user, so I may be a bit spoiled in that I expect a progress bar to update more than once an hour, or that a cancel button should work within 5 minutes.

After few months of using phone, more and more files are becoming corrupted.It's mean your videos, your audio files and maps is no more usable. After formating memory card works everything OK, but only for while (few weeks or months).What I should to do? Still do memory card formats, or try to buy new memory card?Anyway my girlfriend has the same phone and she has the same problem. So its mean, probably all nokia 5800s has this BUG.Why nokia is not able to make one good phone model without bugs?
Recently my Nokia 5800 has had problems connecting to my computer through Mass Storage option. Will connect no problem through PC Suite but not as a USB Mass storage.Have re-downloaded the drivers and installed them again and still same problem.

When I connect to a wireless its says nothing and the icon shows that it is connected, but in Truth its connected to none. And when I try to reconnect it it says close the active connection and when I try to do that it says that I'm not connected. And when I do this after a minute or 2 my phone turns off!
