Mar 26, 2010In my mobile 5800 Xpress music when I open the music store ,ovi store open. In nokia music store I had balance 42 tracks but it is unable to download due to this.

Jan 20, 2011Ok seems that the entire ovi music store is borderline useless..well make that useless. The songs downloaded over the air sounds like worse than AM radio.
I cannot download a single song from the pc application, the downloads resets every time. I am yet to downaload a single song from there. Emails to the support desk has not been replied back.
Anyone facing the same problem? Now I know why the reviewers were so kind to N8..shucks for a few benjamins more I could have got the desire hd

Jan 18, 2010I've had my 5800 for a few months now and love the phone. I downloaded a lot of music onto it when I first bought it and it has been working fine. I have recently moved house and no longer have the internet at home (and cant use it at work as we cant install things like that), and I know I should be able to download the music directly from the phone. I've tried to do this and get as far as the 'My Downloads' section showing the new track I am trying to download, but that's it the phone doesn't seem to store it.
I've tried different memory cards so I know that isn't the problem. I've tried formatting one of the meory cards and retrying it but it still doesn't work. I've tried going into the Applications then into the Memory Card (also tried the Phone itself) to see if it had maybe stored the track under something like images, but it isn't anywhere. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm not planning on getting the internet at home so I really need to be able to do this via the phone itself.

Mar 27, 2010I downloaded the latest nokia ovi player since it threw out a message stating the the latest version was needed inorder to use the New Ovi Music. I installed it successfully and tried downloading 5 songs. All of them failed to download after completing 1 MB. I don't know the reason but it has deducted 5 songs from my voucher pack. It is a loss for me.

When I pressed the download icon - i normally login - but I got an error saying that javascript was not enabled on my phone - when it was. When I selected to show errors as they appeared, the music store kept sending me javascript errors. Only yesterday, did I install a new version of the ovi store - as it asked me to. Mar 27, 2010Nokia rebranded Nokia Music store to OVI Music in India. Earlier I had Nokia Music Store account as OVI login was not supported in Nokia Music store. So my Nokia Music account and OVI login were different. Now when login to music.ovi.com and select India as country , I am asked to login. I can login with my OVI id but then dont see remaining tracks and download history. I login with my older Nokia Music account and I can see remaining tracks and History.
Some of my friends report that in their case , their Nokia Music and OVI account are merged and tracks and history details are still there.But this has not happened in my case. Please let me know when Nokia will be able to merge 2 accounts for me. or is there any way I can do it myself? I know that similar thing happened for OVI share and Sports Tracker accounts but they were eventually merged with single OVI account.

Apr 12, 2010Now that the ovi music store has become a DRM-free store and launched in India. Few things I have noticed that :-
1. It doesn't simply work on mobile for me atleast on my n82! Earlier with the nokia music store it used to work fine both with browsing and downloading tracks. The store crashes if u click on downloading and sometimes it closes also if you are simply browsing the store.
2. The downloading history doesn't appear at all with no tracks on mobile while the tracks which have been downloaded appear clearly while browsing the store on pc.
3. The new store doesn't give an option to re-download the tracks and you have to buy them again, means that track balance gets reduced if you download a track which you have already downloaded earlier.
I have contacted nokia care about these issues, anyone else facing the same problem specially in accessing the ovi music store on mobile?
Nokia :: Ovi Player Doesn't Connect To Music Store
Feb 24, 2010I just got a new phone last week that had Comes With music with it. Well, I installed the software, downloaded plenty of songs, all good on so on.However, last night my Windows 7 installation imploded. The only solution was to reinstall the damn thing. This lead to a serious problem with the Ovi Player.
When I run Ovi Player and try to open the store, it just has a message saying that the store is not available right now, check Internet connection or try again later. But the store is indeed working just fine for my brother on another computer, and works from the phone itself. So for some reason, it's just happening for me. So basically I can't download anything or listen to anything I've already downloaded, because I can't even try to register the player to use this computer so I can't play any of the files due to the DRM stuff and the original Ovi installation being lost in the reinstall (the files themselves I still have). I don't really even know if I can set this new installation as the active computer since there's the 3-month limit thing (which is stupid anyway, and I'd never pay for DRM'd digital media anyway, but as the phone came with the CWM code I figured I'd try it out). But as it is I can't even try and can't even browse the store at all.Any ideas on what to do to get the damn software to work? Reinstalling the player didn't help.

After i start music store i can't login or go to main page because when i press those buttons i get error "Music store: Unable to perform operation" Tried to do hard reset and update firmware again with no help. FW: 40.0.005. I think this problem came with this new V40 firmware or shortly after that when i lost email notification from shortcut homescreen.

Jan 16, 2010Just got my 5800 XpressMusic chrome on T mobile uk it come with "comes with music" packaging and manuel with activation pin so i assume my device is compatible with Nokia music store however when i go to register using my device i put in the pin my own details and accept all etc. i get a message saying that my device is not supported and would i like to see compatible devices or better still go to car phone warehouse and get one there?
my phone is the only way i have of getting this music as i use a mac and they are not supported what so ever not even the website. today my friend got an iphone which is his first ever mac product he has had all he could go on about is how easy everything is he is even using a pc my experience has been scratching my head trying to work out how to set up music email
Nokia Music :: How To Sign In Manually To OVI Store - Cannot Download Songs
Sep 22, 2011When I select the ovi music store in the music folder of my phone(Model Nokia X6-00,16GB), it will redirect to the homepage of the music and when i select the genre and telugu songs, I get some peculiar message like :"Please wait while you are signed in" And it takes me to nowhere. And I get a message as "You couldn't be signed in automatically. Please sign in manually." I want to ask, how can I sign in manually in the nokia ovi store. I don't get the download button to download the songs.
