Have downloaded music from Ovi Music Store which plays fine on music player but won't allow me to set as a ring tone - states that it is protected. Is there any way of getting round this so I can set music as ringtone?

It should be saved to the e: mass memory, but there is no settings in the application where to change the save location?. The phone automatically makes a folder named "Ovi Music Downloads" in the memory card. It should be created in the mass memory.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi had transferred my music downloaded on my phone to my pc but was unable to play it on the pc then i registered my pc on the ovi player still cant play the files it says that the songs are protected under microsoft VRM & needs small update which i tried to run but it continues to say that cant connect to internet whereas i m connected to the internet.
also the musc i had trasferred on to my pc when i m trying to transfer the files back to my device the pc it does not allow me & says that this content requires licence...

Also can't renew expired music licenses on the phone after Belle update. WHen i attempt to renew a license i'm required to sign in. it recognises my account logon info but gives the following error: "We've changed - Nokia Music is now Nokia Music. To get a license for your music, you need a Nokia account username and password. Get one for free at music.ovi.com if you don't have one yet."

I cannot download a single song from the pc application, the downloads resets every time. I am yet to downaload a single song from there. Emails to the support desk has not been replied back.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI can play the files through the file manager but not the google play or the default music player. I have even downloaded third party music players with no luck. I tried moving the files around to the default music folder, and even the folder with the samsung song that came with the phone. No luck.
My last phone (nexus 4) recognized the files instantly, even found the album art and organized all of them no matter where the files were located. I really don't understand what the problem is, I thought this was supposed to be an upgrade.
Would putting the files on a micro SD card work at all?

How do I store music on my e6? I have a 16g memory card on my e6 and I can only hear one song at a time off my memory card. I have a mac for a computer and have no problem putting music on my memory card but it seems ovi will not run on mac.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just recently found problems with downloads certain songs. Specifically the artists Chromium, Deas Vail, Celldweller and Hawthorne Heights. What happens is I download them as usual the whole file downloads with no errors BUT the songs are firstly filed incorrectly on the P.C (not in folders of artist and album). Secondly they don't have any metadata/ info embedded in the file (artist album publisher etc) and Finally but most importantly they don't play, not on my winamp or nokia media player. If I use nokia media player an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle appears next to the Song. This has only happened with those artists so far. I'm using a Nokia N8 unlimited Music subscription.

I've had my 5800 for a few months now and love the phone. I downloaded a lot of music onto it when I first bought it and it has been working fine. I have recently moved house and no longer have the internet at home (and cant use it at work as we cant install things like that), and I know I should be able to download the music directly from the phone. I've tried to do this and get as far as the 'My Downloads' section showing the new track I am trying to download, but that's it the phone doesn't seem to store it.
I've tried different memory cards so I know that isn't the problem. I've tried formatting one of the meory cards and retrying it but it still doesn't work. I've tried going into the Applications then into the Memory Card (also tried the Phone itself) to see if it had maybe stored the track under something like images, but it isn't anywhere. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm not planning on getting the internet at home so I really need to be able to do this via the phone itself.
I downloaded the latest nokia ovi player since it threw out a message stating the the latest version was needed inorder to use the New Ovi Music. I installed it successfully and tried downloading 5 songs. All of them failed to download after completing 1 MB. I don't know the reason but it has deducted 5 songs from my voucher pack. It is a loss for me.

When I pressed the download icon - i normally login - but I got an error saying that javascript was not enabled on my phone - when it was. When I selected to show errors as they appeared, the music store kept sending me javascript errors. Only yesterday, did I install a new version of the ovi store - as it asked me to. Any way this is related or how I can get it to work. I have the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic with Navigation.
