LG G3 :: App Can't Find Music Downloaded From Google Music On SD Card
Jul 23, 2014
I have Google Music downloaded onto SD card but somehow the G3 stock music is unable to find and play it. Is this the security thing of Kitkat or somehow I am not doing the right thing. If it is not having to do with security, then what option to enable.
Why does all the downloaded music go directly to the f: memory card, when downloading music from Ovi Music Store? It should be saved to the e: mass memory, but there is no settings in the application where to change the save location?. The phone automatically makes a folder named "Ovi Music Downloads" in the memory card. It should be created in the mass memory.
I'm using Lumia 710. One problem that I'm facing is that whenever I download any mp3 files either from any music apps or email, I can't find the same in the Music. How do I get these files in my music? When I download images, docs etc from email/apps, I usually get option : 'save to phone', but the same option is not available for Music files.
i had transferred my music downloaded on my phone to my pc but was unable to play it on the pc then i registered my pc on the ovi player still cant play the files it says that the songs are protected under microsoft VRM & needs small update which i tried to run but it continues to say that cant connect to internet whereas i m connected to the internet.
also the musc i had trasferred on to my pc when i m trying to transfer the files back to my device the pc it does not allow me & says that this content requires licence...
I have an LG G4 with a 128GB microSD. I prefer to store all my music locally, and have about 100 gb of albums on the microSD. If I open Google Play Music and select "downloaded only," I can see and play all albums and songs stored locally. However, all my playlists, which show and play fine when streaming, disappear. Instead, my 30+ playlists (same as on iTunes) are replaced by 3-5 odd, random playlists that I never consciously created.
Since my playlists all reference music that is locally stored, why wouldn't they work the same for "downloaded only" as they do when streaming? I'm going to be moving to a place with horrible and expensive internet, so I need to figure out how to use pre-created playlists for locally stored music.
I can play the files through the file manager but not the google play or the default music player. I have even downloaded third party music players with no luck. I tried moving the files around to the default music folder, and even the folder with the samsung song that came with the phone. No luck.
My last phone (nexus 4) recognized the files instantly, even found the album art and organized all of them no matter where the files were located. I really don't understand what the problem is, I thought this was supposed to be an upgrade.
Would putting the files on a micro SD card work at all?
I have a Nokia Unlimited Account for the Nokia Music app on my Lumia 800. I would like to move my downloaded music from the app/phone to my MacBook Pro.
Nokia N8 with music. replacement PC can't register because apparently Nokia Music Player can't work with Windows 7 64-bit. Also can't renew expired music licenses on the phone after Belle update. WHen i attempt to renew a license i'm required to sign in. it recognises my account logon info but gives the following error: "We've changed - Nokia Music is now Nokia Music. To get a license for your music, you need a Nokia account username and password. Get one for free at music.ovi.com if you don't have one yet."
Have downloaded music from Ovi Music Store which plays fine on music player but won't allow me to set as a ring tone - states that it is protected. Is there any way of getting round this so I can set music as ringtone?
The HTC Music player cannot find the songs that I downloaded from Google Play Music? I can't find them either using ES File Explorer although they always show up in the Google "Play Music" app. I've configured the songs that I downloaded from Google "Play Music" to download to the phone and they show as "Pinned" in the "Play Music" app. Lastly I confirmed that the music is on the phone by playing them with "Play Music" while the phone is is airplane mode. I want the default HTC music player to play these songs since that player is available from the lock screen and blink feed.
How can I save Google play music to my sd card? I tried it before and when I went to the android folder under SD card, it didn't have the song title. Just numbers. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and a MacBook Pro.
I have a nokia c6 phone and i have been trying to download or listen songs from ovi music but it everytime says redeem voucher. What should be done in that case ? Do we have to pay for what we download or is it free.
I just notice it today when I'm switching between app. At the same volume Google play music sound louder than the HTC music player without losing sound quality.
I have a serious problem involving my music files which I have transferred via USB to my Nexus 5. After a system update to Android 5.1, my local music files still exist on the device but DO NOT show up in any music player. I have tried to use Google Play Music (my default music player) as well as other music players from the Play Store. ALL indicate that I have zero song files on my device which I know is definitely NOT true. I used to be able to play them and view all albums in Google Play Music but now the music files are ONLY accessible via ES File Explorer.
Nexus 5, 32 GB Android 5.1 Google Play Music 5.8.1836R.1787745
I do not wish to have to play music manually through the file explorer, and I NEED at least Google Play Music working
What a crummy weekend for the Music apps to start crashing - Memorial Day weekend when I'm driving so much. Google Music keeps crashing as soon as I start navigation in Google Maps. I tried Amazon Prime Music too - same issue. So, I'm thinking it's the recently-updated Maps app that isn't multitasking well.
With my S4, when I connected to bluetooth in my car and then switched to Media, it automatically started playing Google Play Music. Now with the S6, doing the same thing plays local "music" (ringtones) via the built in Samsung Music app. I can't find a way to change the default, and I can't disable the Music app. it's possible to make another music app the default, and if so how?
I have , once, removed my mobile phone from data cable without safety remove and there it gave me lot of troubles. My facebook was not able to be connected through the provided application and my music player stopped working as and stopped refreshing saying that "File corrupted"
Finally. i removed my memory card, formatted it and made it worked.
Nokia should consider fixing these issues as we respect them a lot and think that they are still the #1 hardware vendor and will keep giving us good options than Samsung - android and will compete with apple phones.
I recently got a Kingston 16GB Class 4 microSD (from a reputable source - not ebay - and yes it is a genuine 16GB microSD) for my N8 and want to transfer my music to it, to free up space for photos and video on the phone itself. What I thought should be a simple process, thanks to Nokia, has turned out to be a non-trivial exercise.I naively copied my MUSIC folder to the microSD (F), and then deleted the MUSIC folder on the E drive, and refreshed the library. It went through the process of seemingly refreshing for ages, number of tracks clocking up, but then told me the music library was corrupt and showed nothing. After playing for a while, I decided to reverse the process, put my music back on E and deleted the MUSIC folder from the F drive. Refreshed library and I was back to square one (thankfully), and everything worked as before, but, of course, I still hadn't got my music across to the microSD.
Then I searched these forums and found loads of people had had the same problem. It seems that, (as is often the case) the refresh of the library has bugs, and keeps old files somewhere on the device that should be deleted by the refresh process for it to work properly, but hang around causing problems (thanks Nokia - your software guys strike again)Despite trying to find these 'private' folders, they do not appear to be anywhere on any drive on my N8 (and, yes, I did have show hidden files set)
So, simple question is, how can I successfully transfer my music to the microSD so that it just works? Do i have to delete all 1400 tracks and reload them onto the F drive, and if I do this, will it sort the library problem. Ideally I would appreciate a tried and tested method from someone who has actually DONE it, as I don't want to screw my N8.
If I drag and drop music files to the Music folder in the phone storage they show up in the music player app fine.
However, files do not show in the app when I add them to the SD Card.
The SD card has been formatted in the phone. I'm adding files to this folder directory - Card/Android/data/com.google.android.music/files. Is this correct?
I have a samsung galaxy s5 and I have added music from my laptop to my micro sd card and I can play the songs individually by going to the folder in my files but they do not appear in the pre installed music app.
I just downloaded the files and the Recovery system came up. To install the update, I need to manually choose the files, but I don't know where to find the on my phone.
I plugged my phone into my computer to upload download some music from my phone to my computer and iTunes said I had an upgrade for my phone so while it was doing its thing for some reason it told me it couldn't complete the upgrade and that I had to restore my phone to the manufactuer settings which deleted everything! I did do a backup of my phone onto my computer but that wouldn't upload either! I would really like to get my music that I had recently downloaded back and my contacts!!!
