Aug 24, 2014BBought the iPhone 5s last week from the apple shop... Got it all transferred correctly via backup ... Everything worked, photos, messages, ringtones etc .....now the ringtones which I have always used and downloaded, are not working ! They did when I got the phone, but yesterday I connected it to the laptop to make sure iTunes was working with it, which it was ... since then , although my chosen tones for text and ringtones are in the list in 'Tones' and ticked , they don't work ..checked using my husbands phone to ring my phone , just got a tinkling type sound, same with text message tones, not the ones I have ticked either on my phone of my iPad ... Tried all kinds but can't get them to work ... And they all transferred correctly from I tunes on laptop to phone and iPad when I connected and applied ...

Dec 5, 2014i have downlloaded numerous ringtones from iTunes and then they disappear within hours.
I Have sunk my phone into iTunes library on my desktop and it still allows them to vanish. I have the iPhone 6 and I have reported numerous problems and they re download but then disappear again. I went to Apple store and they see my phone is having a software issue but said to call apple for a refund, to rebuy my purchases.

Samsung :: R451C - Cannot Save Downloaded Ringtones?
May 15, 2010I just got this phone about 3 weeks ago and just got my data cable and sd card and such the other day. I downloaded a couple of songs to use as ringtones and they are in the correct folder on my card. I set one as my ringtone and called my cell phone from my house phone and it worked. I cut my phone off and I was going to show my wife what it sounded like (when she got off work). The ringtone was set back to one of the originals that came on the phone. I have looked and looked and it seems like no one else has had this problem. I even deleted those songs and tried a new one. It worked fine until I cut the phone off and back on. Same results. I ave this through NET 10 by the way.

It should be saved to the e: mass memory, but there is no settings in the application where to change the save location?. The phone automatically makes a folder named "Ovi Music Downloads" in the memory card. It should be created in the mass memory.

May 15, 2015I can play the files through the file manager but not the google play or the default music player. I have even downloaded third party music players with no luck. I tried moving the files around to the default music folder, and even the folder with the samsung song that came with the phone. No luck.
My last phone (nexus 4) recognized the files instantly, even found the album art and organized all of them no matter where the files were located. I really don't understand what the problem is, I thought this was supposed to be an upgrade.
Would putting the files on a micro SD card work at all?

Jun 29, 2012I plugged my phone into my computer to upload download some music from my phone to my computer and iTunes said I had an upgrade for my phone so while it was doing its thing for some reason it told me it couldn't complete the upgrade and that I had to restore my phone to the manufactuer settings which deleted everything! I did do a backup of my phone onto my computer but that wouldn't upload either! I would really like to get my music that I had recently downloaded back and my contacts!!!

I don't have that much space on my iPhone nor do I want my whole library on my phone so I manually sync my songs and videos.Am I really stuck with having to automatically sync my media just to sync ringtones?I use an iPod Classic 160 (which does automatically sync everything)an iPad 2 64 (movies only)and an iPhone 4s (some music and some movies)Is there a way to manually manage ringtones or automatically sync them without wiping music off my phone? Aug 20, 2014iPhone 5S synced to older Mac PowerBook does not receive ringtones or music in iTunes during sync. I've tried numerous times. Do I possibly have a setting wrong? I've checked everything I can think of. iTunes is up-to-date, iPhone software is up-to-date, MacPowerBook is up-to-date and running OSX Version 10.9.4. Music and ringtones are definitely where they should be in iTunes media library.

Also can't renew expired music licenses on the phone after Belle update.
