Apr 22, 2012I want to buy apps online, but my credit card is from outside of ireland. If I change my location to the country my creditcard is from and buy the apps I want, my phone will not download them as they are from another 'store'. I cant seem to change the store that my phone buys apps from either. I wanted to try and buy a gift certificate instead, but I can't seem to do that either without a credit card in ireland, which I don't have.

I register the account under the country of Malaysia, unfortunately there are applications that were not available to me because of that. Oct 28, 2010I just looked at my test menus (menu-menu-back-menu back-menu-back-back etc etc to get the phone-specific info) and it says that my x10 is from France.This explains the Serve.Me app being in French, havn't been able to change the language used in this app.Being English educated and living in Australia, this native (non-removable) French Serve.Me app is pretty useless as my French is "tres mal".Is there anything I can do to install and English version/change the country? Apart from 'rooting' the phone ( rather apt term as Aussies, the word 'root' has also other meanings) which I assume I can remove the native apps.What other parts of the phone are customised for a specific country? I've been able to use everything in English so far - and the 2.1 upgrade is not available yet for my x10!

Jan 20, 2011Ok seems that the entire ovi music store is borderline useless..well make that useless. The songs downloaded over the air sounds like worse than AM radio.
I cannot download a single song from the pc application, the downloads resets every time. I am yet to downaload a single song from there. Emails to the support desk has not been replied back.
Anyone facing the same problem? Now I know why the reviewers were so kind to N8..shucks for a few benjamins more I could have got the desire hd

When I do the search for particular music, it will again take me to "India" store instead of "Germany" store. Nokia :: 5800 Does Not Store Music Downloads
Jan 18, 2010I've had my 5800 for a few months now and love the phone. I downloaded a lot of music onto it when I first bought it and it has been working fine. I have recently moved house and no longer have the internet at home (and cant use it at work as we cant install things like that), and I know I should be able to download the music directly from the phone. I've tried to do this and get as far as the 'My Downloads' section showing the new track I am trying to download, but that's it the phone doesn't seem to store it.
I've tried different memory cards so I know that isn't the problem. I've tried formatting one of the meory cards and retrying it but it still doesn't work. I've tried going into the Applications then into the Memory Card (also tried the Phone itself) to see if it had maybe stored the track under something like images, but it isn't anywhere. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm not planning on getting the internet at home so I really need to be able to do this via the phone itself.

Mar 27, 2010I downloaded the latest nokia ovi player since it threw out a message stating the the latest version was needed inorder to use the New Ovi Music. I installed it successfully and tried downloading 5 songs. All of them failed to download after completing 1 MB. I don't know the reason but it has deducted 5 songs from my voucher pack. It is a loss for me.

When I pressed the download icon - i normally login - but I got an error saying that javascript was not enabled on my phone - when it was.
