LG G4 :: Turning Down Volume Of Notification Sound?
Aug 20, 2015
I have a new LG G4 and I can't seem to turn off or turn down notification sound. You cannot turn down the volume of notifications without turning down the volume of your call ringtone. It's such a basic thing to do, but I can't figure it out. I decided I'd load a ringtone of Silent or None but Verizon's LGG4 does not have that option, again very poor design. While trying to load another ringtone, I went to settings, apps, sound, and hit the small + sign to load a new ringtone and was greeted with another one of those "Do you want to use this action, or that app, or whatever" and then the option "always" or "Just once" and without thinking I chose "Always" now I can't get to the media browser? I tried to clear defaults but can't find the sound app that controls this? Where is this setting?
Got the new lumia 950xl yesterday in the UK, loving it so far but when I switch off my phone and back on again it seems to change the notification sound for Facebook and messenger, not really sure why so? Really annoying considering the messenger default is set to none so if I forget I won't know I have a message until I check my phone....
In recent days I've noticed a rather annoying quirk with the sound from my Photon. If I'm listening to music (Winamp, the stock app, or Pandora) and a notification pops up, I hear the notification sound but afterward the volume of my music drops down a lot. I'll turn the volume up, but as soon as the track changes my ears blow up when the volume level returns to what it was previously
How do I customize the call notification to vibrate and the text message notification to sound at the same time for vibration mode? The vibration mode works fine for me (both call and message notifications vibrate only), but sound notification for text messages when I am in the middle of something. I am a new Android user and it seems that both settings cannot be done separately for the vibration mode.
Sometimes randomly after unlocking my phone or turning it on, (specifically a couple seconds maybe 4, of looking at the Home screen) I hear a noise. I'm not sure if it vibrates or not I'll check next time. But it seems to be some sort of notification that happened. Now I have no apps running but I get this beep sound. I checked text messages, emails, push notifications, battery, coverage yet its not one of those. Maybe its WiFi. But for some reason I get this random beep of the phone trying to notify me of something but it never shows up on the screen. Sometimes after locking my phone (screen being black) it does the noise.
The volume on my S6 keeps turning up and down on it's own. I notice it mostly when I am on YouTube, but it has also done it while listening to music in the music app, with earbuds in.
My Neo V keeps turning up the volume randomly to max and whenever the volume bar near the top shows up I turn it down, but it just goes back up. And it sits there and doesn't let me lock the phone, or occasionally, the phone won't sleep. Then it makes the noise when you press on the volume control repeatedly. It also does that when I have headphones in, just turns the sound all the way up. Is it something wrong with the internal configurations of the phone or the button?
I shut down my phone for a couple hours and turned it back on. Then I watched YouTube and listened to music for another couple hours. Suddenly, the volume just started turning itself all the way down randomly? It's never done this before and it's a brand new phone (HTC One M9). I'd like to know how to fix this ASAP because I use my phone for music and videos a lot. I am not accidentally hitting the volume buttons because for music, I often do not hold my phone at all.
Just gonna ask because it has happened so many tines and I don't know what is going on: has noticed the notification volume turning itself down/unexpectedly lower than last set?
Since the update to Lollipop, I have not had much luck with the notifications. I used an app called Dynamic Notifications and it worked awesome. I really liked the feature of turning your screen on to notify you of a new notification. It will not work properly with Lollipop.
Tasker or any other program to automatically turn the media volume to max? This is convenient as I want the volume maxed out when I connect to my cars bluetooth (otherwise I really have to crank up the stereo volume), but I don't want media volume on max when not connected. In the past I have used one of two apps (Tasker or Bluetooth Connect & Play). Both of these apps are having issues adjusting the media volume when they worked perfectly on my pre kitkat phones. Sometimes it works correctly and maxes out the volume, other times it doesn't change it at all.
I have the m9 and I keep getting notifications telling me to back up a new folder I created or Google saying I have pictures to backup, ones that I have recently taken. How do I stop these? I back them up anyway so I don't need the reminders.
I dropped my iPhone, cracked the screen and LCD, replaced both, as well as the inner plastic piece holding them together. Now, the LCD doesnt turn on, the touch screen will not respond, and the sound isn't working. The backlight wont even turn on !
It is still on, responds when I plug it into USB, it still vibrates and has its files.
And the kicker is that it was working for a few seconds, when I first put everything together, I just took it apart to get the home button to be seated properly, and bam, all of a sudden everything stops working.
Frustrating indeed ! Would anyone be able to help me out please ? I am sick that it seems I will have to buy another part, but, if it will fix it then it's worth it !
tl;dr :Replaced iPhone LCD, glass and central plastic piece. iPhone screen worked for a few minutes, then stopped. Now, screen will not work but phone will respond to USB and when I flick the switch to put it in silent.
I am having issues with my sound and vibrate on my iPhone 3Gs. The sound and vibate turns on and off all by itself! Would like to know if there's a way I can fix this or if I have to get it exchanged
How do you turn off the in call notification beep for incoming messages? If you have the volume turned up for the voice call it's piercing when a message alert goes off.
could anybody tell me how to turn off the camera sound of my Nokia 5530 XM, i dont like that sound because sometime i need to be quiet to take a snapshot.
I recently upgraded from the S3 to the S5. It seems that the alarm volume and the ringtone volume are directly linked. As in, if my ringtone is set to mute, my alarm wont sound.
I haven't been able to figure out a way to bypass this. I'd like to have my alarm sound even when the ringtone is set to mute or vibrate.
does anyone know of a way to turn off the sound that happens immediately after a missed call? I have some idiot friends that will go out drinking and periodically call me at 1am when I have to get up at 6am for work. I also have an elderly gentleman that will call my number in the middle of the night, thinking I am his son (my number and his son's number must be very similar). I can set the ringer to "No Ring" for these people, I can turn off vmail alerts, I can turn off text alerts...but none of it matters because when one of them calls, I still wake up due to the missed call sound that happens immediately after the call. I can't just put the phone on silent because I would need to be alerted if some type of emergency would happen with my family. I could just get a landline and put the phone on silent, but I would rather not shell out the extra $$ due to a poorly thought out missed call sound on a cell phone. Really, what is the point of including a "no ring" feature for an individual person, if you can't turn off the missed call sound? In reality, what happens is the missed call sound becomes person's ring tone. Also, does the Envy Touch have this problem? I am due for a new phone in the spring and was looking at purchasing this one.
in regards to an iPhone 4S, is there a way to turn off the camera shutter sound that comes with taking a screenshot? (power button+home button) The phone is from South Korea, and I am aware of the law that requires a shutter sound for cameras due to surreptitious activity with cameras, but there should be no reason that a screenshot of the iPhone's screen should be associated with an obnoxious shutter sound that does not silence even after putting the phone on silent, lowering the volume, etc.
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1, The phone is from South Korea
I bought the US version of the iPhone 6 in Dubai (facetime isnt available in the local version), is that the reason why my camera shutter won't turn off at all? I tried resetting, mute, earphones in. Nothing.
is there any way to turn the sound off when you take a picture??, please dont all start calling me a pervert (as i've seen on other forums) im hoping you can be a bit more helpful here, sometimes you want a photo but it is not always apt to have a camara sound go off, this is my first blackberry (bold 9700) but im yet to own a phone that you could'nt turn it off on.
I can't really seem to find the actual term, but the case is every time I unlock my phone the speakers seem to turn on for a moment, then shut down again, the problem is I always have the phone on vibrate, nevertheless this sound keeps appearing after doing certain actions, it's like a static noise, followed by a sound that resembles the speakers powering off. It's almost unhearable unless you pay attention, otherwise the speakers are flawless. Could fix some actions displaying it by going to settings, sound, and unticking pull-to-refresh sounds, however, the sound persists on unlocking screen.
This is like the 3rd time that my LG G4 lost all volume...seems to happen after a incoming phone call. I can barely hear lock and unlock sounds but everything else is silent. I checked all volume levels and all are at full level. I am baffled here! The last 2 times it happened, the volume just came back to normal on it's own.
I was able to get sound back by rebooting the phone...but this is a big issue! Can't hear calls or texts coming in!
Is it possible? I own a 8520, I've asked other 8520 owners and they have no idea, I also searched around and found nothing. Anyone know if it's possible? Or do I need some kind of app...By camera sound I mean the "click" sound it makes when you take a photo.
I have noticed on this on my Sony Ericsson Xperia ray mobile phone that it makes some kind of sound on the camera application . whenever I try to take the picture or while exiting the application or if I tab the photo that is just taken . it like the small click sound but it very irritating . I am afraid is this my phone or there are some having the same problem on their phone, whether it's a norm .
