is there any way to turn the sound off when you take a picture??, please dont all start calling me a pervert (as i've seen on other forums) im hoping you can be a bit more helpful here, sometimes you want a photo but it is not always apt to have a camara sound go off, this is my first blackberry (bold 9700) but im yet to own a phone that you could'nt turn it off on.

(power button+home button) The phone is from South Korea, and I am aware of the law that requires a shutter sound for cameras due to surreptitious activity with cameras, but there should be no reason that a screenshot of the iPhone's screen should be associated with an obnoxious shutter sound that does not silence even after putting the phone on silent, lowering the volume, etc.

I bought the US version of the iPhone 6 in Dubai (facetime isnt available in the local version), is that the reason why my camera shutter won't turn off at all? I tried resetting, mute, earphones in. Nothing.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've recently updated my 9700 OS to 6 and am having tons of problems with it now. My phone is now very slow, sometimes it freezes up and my phone calls won't come in. Every once in awhile my screen won't turn on even though I have not turned off my phone and the only way to start it back up is to pull the battery. I also get a message saying my application memory is low and I've never had this problem before nor have I downloaded any new 3rd party apps.

After it shut off and I plugged my blackerry in to charge up, I couldn't get the phone to turn back on. I popped the battery in and out of the back hoping for a reboot and nothing. I left it plugged in over night. When I tried to turn it back on this morning it still wouldn't turn on. I popped the battery in and out of the back yet again and finally it booted back up, but without a charge in the phone whatsoever even though it had been plugged in over night.

Save and restart Phone.
Open Camera - Settings - last line there you can find the ShutterSound!
I've seen numerous websites detailing how to turn off the shutter sound but none the other way around. My camera does not make any sounds when I take a picture and there is no toggle in the settings to turn it back on. I haven't downloaded any app to turn off the sound either. I know the sound exists because when I take a screenshot it makes the familiar "click" but no sound when I take a picture with the camera.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using a software called YBrowser to snoop around my Nokia E72 file system.I found out that the sound files for the camera shutter, auto-focus, etc. are located in the following path:[URL]... So I proceed to create a silence wav file (of about 10 kb).My ideia, simple enough, would be to replace the shutter sound file with this silence file and give it the same name, so as not to cause conflicts of any kind.
Although the YBrowswer allows me to snoop around the whole system files, it doesn't allow me paste new files, or even delete the 'CamcorderJavaCapture.wav' (which is the file I'd like to replce).I could access the Z:/ volume of my phone and do this?If not through the phone, maybe through a Terminal window and the E72 connected to my Mac via USB?
