View 5 RepliesI have no signal in my office at work and therefore have to be on WiFi all day at work. My device restarts itself about every hour while I am on WiFi. It never seems to do it while I am on a call. My phone is essentially in an idle status. The screen goes to white and forces me to pull the battery in order for it to finish the restart. The other weird thing that happens is that the special Yahoo mailbox icon switches back to the default email icon after the restart and sometimes the service books are refreshed when this happens because the activation messages come through right after a restart.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had the Bold 9700 since like the end of May 2010. This is actually my 2nd one because the first one I got was defective (the 3/R button didn't work)..so I got a new Bold 9700 via DOA. Two days ago, I noticed that my phone would restart when i press the two volume buttons at the same time. If I press one of them, it still works perfectly. However, I use a case so sometimes I accidentally hit the two volume buttons together and my phone reboots.I'm not too sure if this problem just started to occur like recently because I never noticed if I ever hit the volume keys together at the same times before. I don't think it's a software problem but I'm running on the original Rogers OS 5.0.0.351. I never bothered to upgrade because .351 seems to work pretty well already.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've come to dread restarting my phone (after deleting an app, to free up space). Every time I pull the battery, it's like playing russian roulette with my phone. When it restarts, it goes back to that original wallpaper that my bb bold2 had, and then the trackpad won't work. Even if I click down once to activate the trackpad, nothing moves on my screen. It almost always ends with me having to do a second battery pull, which is really nerve-wracking. It's like there's some sort of SEVERE lag going on. And if it does begin to work after a battery pull, it takes like 6 minutes to begin working.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThis has just started happening the last two weeks or so. When I turn the screen off, or when the phone turns the screen off after one minute, it shortly turns back on again. The only thing that will fix this for about two days or so, is a battery pull. Anyone have this issue? I am using Build 862

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've recently updated my 9700 OS to 6 and am having tons of problems with it now. My phone is now very slow, sometimes it freezes up and my phone calls won't come in. Every once in awhile my screen won't turn on even though I have not turned off my phone and the only way to start it back up is to pull the battery. I also get a message saying my application memory is low and I've never had this problem before nor have I downloaded any new 3rd party apps.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having battery issues, it does not last for a whole day. I was told to make a few adjustment to my bb setup one of them was to turn off Wifi when I am not using it. Now I am not sure what I have done but every time I switch off wifi the phone switches off within a 1min. I cannot turn the phone back on unless I do a battery pull and connect the phone to charge. I have a BB Bold 9900 unbrand and unlocked, OS 7.1.0.342, currently using a T-mobile sim in it.

I like the auto profile and LED off feature but I would like the screen to go off when I'm charging on the cradle at night. I'm a little paranoid of having the screen on all night every night when it is on bedside mode.

View 11 Replies View RelatedUsing my phone as per usual and had about half battery left, suddenly an error screen popped up saying drained battery and shutting off handheld. After it shut off and I plugged my blackerry in to charge up, I couldn't get the phone to turn back on. I popped the battery in and out of the back hoping for a reboot and nothing. I left it plugged in over night. When I tried to turn it back on this morning it still wouldn't turn on. I popped the battery in and out of the back yet again and finally it booted back up, but without a charge in the phone whatsoever even though it had been plugged in over night.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my Nexus 5 on the 2nd of this month. I'm on Android 4.4.4. Just today, I was out and about and I realized that, although I was going into settings and turning Wi-Fi off, it just kept turning it right back on! (I had been using the Wi-Fi at the mall, then later I went to a friend's house and connected to my friend's Wi-Fi, which did not work.) So, I turned on my data, only for it to turn off after I guess about 30 seconds. I turned it back on, went on WhatsApp, in the middle of replying to a text from my friend it goes off yet again! What the... So, I went into settings and turned data on, and Wi-Fi off. As I watched, the Wi-Fi switched itself back on, and, predictably, even though there were no wireless networks to connect to, my data turned off as well.
This is really inconvenient. What could be causing the problem? I don't think I've downloaded any apps recently, but they do sometimes update. It was working fine on Thursday, but I've had my data off since then. I also booted into Safe Mode, and the problem doesn't seem to persist.
I have the blackberry 9900 and want to turn off the network internet services without turning off the wifi function. My mobile carrier is vodafone and even when I am connected to wifi, my credit is being used up. How do I disable the internet function but still use wifi? When I try disabling data services, wifi doesnt connect at all?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy phone has the 2.1 update-1 and is branded via t-mobile (The Netherlands).
In the recent month I have about 10-15 restarts a day, also used SEUS to reinstall the software about 7 times and it gives the same result.
When 3G or Wifi is turned off I can use every app without problems, as soon as I turn 3G of Wifi on the phone crashes, restarts, input my pincode, freezes, restarts and that repeats about 5 times before I can turn off the 3G or Wifi.
Is there a known problem with this phone and the radio transmitter/receiver?
My wireless connections(wifi, bluetooth, wifi hot spot) are not working , when i try to turn any of them on nothing happens and its not turned on

I just got this new Blackberry 9700. When I got to Advanced Options > About it says "smartphone (3G, WiFi)" on the 2nd line. However when I goto "Manage Connections" I don't see any options for WiFi. Any ideas what is going on? How do I use WiFi? Just an FYI, I just recently upgraded to this OS, but even with the other OS the options was not there.
Bold 9700 -When I try to turn on wi-fi, the check box will appear checked for a few seconds and then just disappear, leaving the wi-fi off. When trying to search for wi-fi network, I get a message asking me to turn on wi-fi to perform scan; I click ok, then after 20 seconds or so, an error message appears stating that wi-fi can"t be turned on.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've E72 for few weeks. In general,I'm satisfied with what I get. A major exception is a strange resets I've almost allways during browsing over WiFi. Browser isn't an issue,it happens with both Nokia browser and Opera. It doesn't happen when I connect with mobile provider GSM. When I run email client over WiFi it works perfectly, well except it restarted once or twice when tried to handle large html messages with big attachments.
Phone OS / firmware is a last version.
Wifi doesn't turn On, even after several restarts but my bluetooth and mobile data works well...
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to see if anyone else is having this issue. My Wifi Xoom will not stay powered off. I tell Android to shut down and it does, but then immediately powers back on. Has anyone seen this before? I have sent the device back to repair 2 times now and I get it back and it is fixed for a day or two and then starts rebooting itself again! (Note: I'm not talking about random reboots, just when I try to turn it off. I need to turn it all the way off so I can save battery, can't charge every day).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've downloaded a few apps from the store onto my Bold 9700 (Twitter, Facebook, Opera mini etc) and have no problems as long as I'm in WiFi range. Once outside this I can't use them without getting a message about them being a WiFi service and to check connection.
My browser preference is set to "Hotspot browser" but even when I change this to 3G I still get the same message. None of the applications seem to have browser setting preferences so I'm not sure how I can get round the problem.Does anyone know of a settings page somewhere that will fix this?
