Galaxy S6 :: Volume Keeps Turning Up And Down On Its Own
Nov 23, 2015
The volume on my S6 keeps turning up and down on it's own. I notice it mostly when I am on YouTube, but it has also done it while listening to music in the music app, with earbuds in.
My Neo V keeps turning up the volume randomly to max and whenever the volume bar near the top shows up I turn it down, but it just goes back up. And it sits there and doesn't let me lock the phone, or occasionally, the phone won't sleep. Then it makes the noise when you press on the volume control repeatedly. It also does that when I have headphones in, just turns the sound all the way up. Is it something wrong with the internal configurations of the phone or the button?
I have a new LG G4 and I can't seem to turn off or turn down notification sound. You cannot turn down the volume of notifications without turning down the volume of your call ringtone. It's such a basic thing to do, but I can't figure it out. I decided I'd load a ringtone of Silent or None but Verizon's LGG4 does not have that option, again very poor design. While trying to load another ringtone, I went to settings, apps, sound, and hit the small + sign to load a new ringtone and was greeted with another one of those "Do you want to use this action, or that app, or whatever" and then the option "always" or "Just once" and without thinking I chose "Always" now I can't get to the media browser? I tried to clear defaults but can't find the sound app that controls this? Where is this setting?
I shut down my phone for a couple hours and turned it back on. Then I watched YouTube and listened to music for another couple hours. Suddenly, the volume just started turning itself all the way down randomly? It's never done this before and it's a brand new phone (HTC One M9). I'd like to know how to fix this ASAP because I use my phone for music and videos a lot. I am not accidentally hitting the volume buttons because for music, I often do not hold my phone at all.
Just gonna ask because it has happened so many tines and I don't know what is going on: has noticed the notification volume turning itself down/unexpectedly lower than last set?
Tasker or any other program to automatically turn the media volume to max? This is convenient as I want the volume maxed out when I connect to my cars bluetooth (otherwise I really have to crank up the stereo volume), but I don't want media volume on max when not connected. In the past I have used one of two apps (Tasker or Bluetooth Connect & Play). Both of these apps are having issues adjusting the media volume when they worked perfectly on my pre kitkat phones. Sometimes it works correctly and maxes out the volume, other times it doesn't change it at all.
Coming from a previous s3 user I jumped straight to the s6. When I did have the s3 (now sold) I had the option that every time I started the device from off I could enter a pin (number pin) and then that would unlock the device and then that would lead me to subsequently unlock the home screen (be it a pin, swipe etc). How do I set up the first mentioned in this post i.e upon booting the device from off to enter a pin which would then allow me to unlock the device via fingerprint unlock. I just want added security but cannot find that option.
I have the Galaxy S6 and my wifi keeps turning itself on. I have the "always scanning" option off, as well as connections optimizer turned off. Yet, WiFi keeps turning itself on.
Having troubles with their GPS and signal problem on their samsung galaxy S6? Like it turning itself on and off and being unresponsive? I'm currently in Kansas city MO and it kept being unreliable.
I had this phone since May and kept it in perfect condition but It all started Thursday, i got home and noticed my phone switching on and off wifi, not updating apps, no fb messager notifications, getting hot and losing alot of battery life, and not searching for update.
I have T mobile and people say just turn off smart Wifi switch and i did but my phones slow with those problems while on Wifi still even with a 100+MB connection.
When i try to turn on my wifi button, sometimes nothing happens, the other times it quickly turns on then off. This means i am not even able to scan for networks. Also makes the whole phone lag.Sometimes if just says "turning on...." but nothing happens
When screen rotation is turned on on the wifi page, the screen rotates 90 degrees but leaves the left side of the screen black, then after 3 seconds properly rotates. The only way to back out of the wifi page, is to continually press the home button, the back button doesnt work. When not on the wifi page the phone doesnt lag anymore.
I'm very happy with my S5 and the camera, but I keep having a quite annoying problem: The GPS location tag in the stock camera app keeps turning off for no apparent reason. I can turn it on, take a couple of pictures, and after a few hours it'll somehow be turned off again.
My Samsung Galaxy S5 is turning off after 20 seconds on. It starts itself again and the same procedure continues. I cant change it back to default since I need to transfer my pictures on the unit.
My s2 has started randomly switching itself off. It happened first thing this morning, could be a concidence but a few minutes after switching it back on it did an auto update from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4. During the day it has switched itself off about 3 times.
How to turn off Mirrorlink once and for all on my S6 Edge. Everytime I connect it to the car, Mirrorlink automatically turns on and even when I turn it off in settings, it automatically switches back on. Mirrorlink isn't working with my car and I'm trying to get Android Auto to work with it instead but having Mirrorlink keep turning on prevents me from being able to load Android Auto.
Everytime I take my phone off of power save mode, my vibration feedback turns off on its own and I always have to turn it back on manually. What's causing this?
I'm currently having a really weird problem with my Samsung Galaxy S6 (Android 5.1.1.). When I plug in my headphones and play music in my standard music player, after 20 minutes or something, ALL my volumes are starting a party of their own:
- Google talk (I'm not sure if this is the correct name of the app, Spraak in Dutch) is opening and closing itself 20 times, and keeps talking through my music that she is listening to what I'm saying - Music volumes are turning themselves up and down, if it's going up and I'm pushing the down button I'm battling against my phone - and the phone wins - My ring volume is turning itself to the maximum, while it was on buzzing - This is all happening at the same time, the only solutions seems to be turning off the phone. If I close all the apps they just open themselves again.
So bluetooth has been turning it's self off randomly. When I try to connect my ps4 controller via bluetooth I connect and move around for 5 seconds then bluetooth turns off. It's not the controller because I can turn it on and sit at the bluetooth screen and wait abit, then it turns off for 1/2 seconds, says "turning on bluetooth" then repeats the cycle. I just updated to lollipop hoping it would fix it but no luck. I even did a factory reset. The BLE app didn't fix it either.
When i have music playing and turn the screen facedown the music will stop playing if the screen is on. I purposely turned this on but now i dislike it and can't figure out how to turn it off.
I did not update to lollipop so that can't be the answer. My screen turns o.n itself when I don't have any notifications. Also, my sound changes itself from silent, to vibrate and ring all by itself.
Ok my phone has started having a lot of problems recently. Its turning off and on randomly, the screen colour gets messed up at random times, like completely messed up, the wifi is a little messed up and it seems to be pretty slow So i was just wondering whats the best way for me to do a complete reset? Its on 02 btw.
