When i have music playing and turn the screen facedown the music will stop playing if the screen is on. I purposely turned this on but now i dislike it and can't figure out how to turn it off.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my S5 for about a month or two now and have been having a problem with the screen waking in my pocket. I'm guessing the home or power button is being pressed which is fine but I need the screen to turn back off in a reasonable amount of time. There is a setting called "Screen timeout" but no "Lock screen timeout" like I used to have on my S3. Maybe I'm missing something but it seems like both the screen timeout and the lock screen timeout are both controlled by this one setting. Just about every 20 minutes I feel my pocket getting hot and sure enough, the screen has been on for who knows how long.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI connect my phone to my car's Bluetooth system during my drive to work in the morning in case I get a call. I usually listen to a podcast on my iPod, then switch to a CD if the podcast episode ends before I get to work. To do so, I flip past my Bluetooth audio setting on my radio. I've already disabled the Bluetooth connection for media in my phone, but all that's done is stop music from playing through the speakers of my car. My phone still begins to auto-play music, either music that's stored in my phone or launching Spotify and starting to play what I last listened to on there. I really don't like having to go onto my phone and close the app while I'm driving.

I have tried limiting the number of background apps, tried three different player, and installed an app that is supposed to keep music playing. None of these things have worked. It will play for a while (like 20-30 mins) and suddenly just stop playing. I check the APP on the phone & I press the PLAY button and in continues just fine - almost like STOP was pressed. I don't have any settings for turning it off after a certain time. This seems to happen intermittently on either of the Bluetooth accessories I pair with the phone. (Headphones or Speaker).

Before the update I could just turn my phone on vibrate or mute and the alerts wouldn't interrupt my music. I'll be singing along to a song when suddenly the music stops, an alert tone comes on and the "new sms message" pops up on my radio display. It's bad enough that half of my apps stop working randomly for no reason since the update.

3 days ago, my phone started freezing very often. I would hold the sleep and home button for 6 seconds to restart it. After a while, it started turning off and on by itself. Just last night it had this lit up black screen. It was totally upresponsive and my iPhone did not show up in iTunes. I let the batter run out and than I charged it. It was fine for a couple of hours and than it started turning of and on by itself. It worsened to the point where right away when my iPhone 4 turned on, it turned off. Now it has a blue screen. Pressing the home and sleep button doesn't hel. It doesn't show up in iTunes either. Should I wait for it to run out of battery like last time? What can I do in the future to prevent my phone from freezing and turning off. Will upgrading it to the newest operating system help?

My stepdaughter has a 5C and is constantly turning off her wifi. She says it goes off by itself, but i think she does it in case she doesn't have access to wifi and then accesses data which is driving up our phone bill like crazy. I would shut off her data but her dad is her dad and he doesn't want me to (just don't want to deal with the problems associated with that). I know that if she is in a place where she has no access to wifi, she would automatically go onto data, but i think she actually turns off her wifi too, so that she can access data. I constantly tell her she needs to leave it on, so does her dad. Is there a way to prevent someone from turning off the wifi button?

I'm heavy voice and data user on my iPhone 5 however I rarely listen to music. My handsfree is plugged-in almost all the time (for convenience as I strongly prefer to use HF for voice calls).Â
Any time I accidentally press the HF button (and it happens a lot, e.g. laying the phone down on the table accidentally pressing the button by the phone itself) the bloody device starts playing music (or whatever media is stored in). This is very annoying: if nothing else it further drains the battery that anyhow barely makes it through the day (sometimes half day - I really am heavy user). But most important: when listening to anything it is usually an audio book. When the "automated" "audio-on" feature is activated it usually goes unnoticed until some time hence the story moves on without me listening - and going back looking for the spot to continue playing from is very very frustrating activity particularly since it is repeated practically every time I sit down to listen to it.Â
Going through different forums I found some solutions which however require a jail-brake - something I want to avoid if possible,Â
The best solution would allow to define a custom action ("null action" in this particular case) based on the status: I like to use the HF button during the call or even for skipping or reversing songs when eventually really deliberately listening to music (very seldom) hence only "idle / stand-by" action assigned to the HF button would be null - the rest should stay intact.Â
When a music is played, pressing the "back" button will push the player to background. How can I stop the that? in the support manual only it is tated how to push to background or delete the track!
