IPhone 5c :: How To Delete Music / Turning Off Show All Music
Aug 25, 2014
how to remove songs from my iphone 5c. Songs that have a cloud symbol next to them won't delete. I've tried turning off 'show all music', but this doesn't seem to make any difference to those songs.
I have a serious problem involving my music files which I have transferred via USB to my Nexus 5. After a system update to Android 5.1, my local music files still exist on the device but DO NOT show up in any music player. I have tried to use Google Play Music (my default music player) as well as other music players from the Play Store. ALL indicate that I have zero song files on my device which I know is definitely NOT true. I used to be able to play them and view all albums in Google Play Music but now the music files are ONLY accessible via ES File Explorer.
Nexus 5, 32 GB Android 5.1 Google Play Music 5.8.1836R.1787745
I do not wish to have to play music manually through the file explorer, and I NEED at least Google Play Music working
My music player doesn't show any music i add now. I can see and play those music files through OI FILE MANAGER. It is Android 4.0.4 Also i had excluded one of my personnel folder from media scan. but still it shows that folder and its contents in pictures.
Lately each time I drag and drop music or videos to my phone using mass storage, my music player won't show it. There's nothing in recently added and I tried refreshing it, but it showed me 'General:System Error' and stopped refreshing. I checked in my file manager and the songs are still there.
I have approx 590 MP3 music tracks on my 5230 4gb memory card and I want to delete them all and start afresh. I have deleted the playlist but obviously my music is still there. I then tried to delete all my tracks by marking them all and then deleting but I got "general system error" message. Am trying to delete too many tracks at once, or is there a way of deleting them, or formatting my memory card to clear everything? I know I could take my card out and use a PC/card reader to clean but I didn't want to remove the card if possible.
Pressing a handsfree button once in idle/stand-by mode starts playing music. Can that be disabled?Â
I'm heavy voice and data user on my iPhone 5 however I rarely listen to music. My handsfree is plugged-in almost all the time (for convenience as I strongly prefer to use HF for voice calls).Â
Any time I accidentally press the HF button (and it happens a lot, e.g. laying the phone down on the table accidentally pressing the button by the phone itself) the bloody device starts playing music (or whatever media is stored in). This is very annoying: if nothing else it further drains the battery that anyhow barely makes it through the day (sometimes half day - I really am heavy user). But most important: when listening to anything it is usually an audio book. When the "automated" "audio-on" feature is activated it usually goes unnoticed until some time hence the story moves on without me listening - and going back looking for the spot to continue playing from is very very frustrating activity particularly since it is repeated practically every time I sit down to listen to it.Â
Going through different forums I found some solutions which however require a jail-brake - something I want to avoid if possible,Â
The best solution would allow to define a custom action ("null action" in this particular case) based on the status: I like to use the HF button during the call or even for skipping or reversing songs when eventually really deliberately listening to music (very seldom) hence only "idle / stand-by" action assigned to the HF button would be null - the rest should stay intact.Â
There are many artists/songs that do not appear in my Music app. I know they're on the iPhone because I'm able to play them using Siri.Â
Ex. (Billy Joel is nowhere to be found in any of the Music tabs - if I ask Siri "Play Billy Joel" she has no trouble finding it. Â
I've have even tried doing a factory reset on the phone, and redownloaded all my music. The same issue came up, but with a new group of songs. These songs are not stored in iCloud and are hard files on my iPhone. Â

know why music would show up in my itunes library but not on the iPhone even though it says it still has about 1GB of space? The songs are like a translucent grey when listed on the i-device music list. I've tried syncing repeatedly and clearing out space and I'm not getting alert messages.
I bought N97 & transferred some music files from PC. Some them are copied to Menu<Music<Music Library. I want to delete these files. Can anybody guide me for this?
Also How the Music files under Application<Mass Memory<E:<Music can be played as playlist?
I had a similar issues on " General: System Error " Music file unable to save on music library the second one is corrupted music file unable to deleted on music library.
Why does all the downloaded music go directly to the f: memory card, when downloading music from Ovi Music Store? It should be saved to the e: mass memory, but there is no settings in the application where to change the save location?. The phone automatically makes a folder named "Ovi Music Downloads" in the memory card. It should be created in the mass memory.
I would like to delete all music from my iphone5s, I have ios8, I can't find a way to do this. I have read to go to setting general usage and delete music, however in IOS8 I don't see that option.
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, my home location has the incorrect
So I've got a new iPhone 5 and I'm giving my son my old 4s. I've deleted my account and got a new SIM card in it for him but when he signed in on his account( he had one from his ipad) all my email and stuff was still there. Now I don't want him on my email or old photos but I've got a lot of music on there that I'd like him to keep on it so is there a way that he can keep the music but delete everything else?
I have tried everything to delete ALL music from my phone to start again.Â
I have made sure the music is not backed up to the cloud, I have shifted all purchased music from purchased folder in itunes to the library. I have unticked all music in my library and then deleted all music from my iphone. I have checked the only sync ticked music and clicked on APPLY. What do you know the music is still showing on my iphone. I have powered off and on my iphone.Â
Result = still music on my iphone that is not on my library, nor does it appear on itunes as existing on my iphone but it appear on the phone. Oh and I have switched off home sharing just in case this is impacting.Â
My iphone5 won't delete a song from my music? I have ios7.1.2. and a small cloud icon with a red arrow pointing down appears when i try to delete the song.
I have the iPhone5C. I'm an iTunes user and I have iCloud.Â
I have a ton of music bought from iTunes and saved to my iPhone. My iPhone is maxed-out and I can't download any more stuff. I want to retire some music I bought from iTunes but I don't want to delete them permanently. Is there a safe way to delete music from my iPhone but not delete them permanently from iTunes and iCloud?Â
