how to remove songs from my iphone 5c. Songs that have a cloud symbol next to them won't delete. I've tried turning off 'show all music', but this doesn't seem to make any difference to those songs.
So I've got a new iPhone 5 and I'm giving my son my old 4s. I've deleted my account and got a new SIM card in it for him but when he signed in on his account( he had one from his ipad) all my email and stuff was still there. Now I don't want him on my email or old photos but I've got a lot of music on there that I'd like him to keep on it so is there a way that he can keep the music but delete everything else?
I have approx 590 MP3 music tracks on my 5230 4gb memory card and I want to delete them all and start afresh. I have deleted the playlist but obviously my music is still there. I then tried to delete all my tracks by marking them all and then deleting but I got "general system error" message. Am trying to delete too many tracks at once, or is there a way of deleting them, or formatting my memory card to clear everything? I know I could take my card out and use a PC/card reader to clean but I didn't want to remove the card if possible.
I have tried everything to delete ALL music from my phone to start again.Â
I have made sure the music is not backed up to the cloud, I have shifted all purchased music from purchased folder in itunes to the library. I have unticked all music in my library and then deleted all music from my iphone. I have checked the only sync ticked music and clicked on APPLY. What do you know the music is still showing on my iphone. I have powered off and on my iphone.Â
Result = still music on my iphone that is not on my library, nor does it appear on itunes as existing on my iphone but it appear on the phone. Oh and I have switched off home sharing just in case this is impacting.Â
My iphone5 won't delete a song from my music? I have ios7.1.2. and a small cloud icon with a red arrow pointing down appears when i try to delete the song.
I have the iPhone5C. I'm an iTunes user and I have iCloud.Â
I have a ton of music bought from iTunes and saved to my iPhone. My iPhone is maxed-out and I can't download any more stuff. I want to retire some music I bought from iTunes but I don't want to delete them permanently. Is there a safe way to delete music from my iPhone but not delete them permanently from iTunes and iCloud?Â
I have "show all music" turned OFF, but 1 song remains on my iphone and I cannot delete it. It does NOT appear in itunes. My computer is a PC using Windows Pro 7.1. My iphone uses IOS 7.1.2
I have a question regarding the music app on my iPhone 4S. When you slide to the right over a song, you get the option to delete it. If you press delete, does it delete it from your library on your computer or just on the iPhone.
There is a music file on my iPhone 4S that I can not delete via the phone or via iTunes (iTunes does not recognize the file but I can play it via the phone directly). When I pull up the file in my "music" folder there is no "delete" option.
I am unable to delete music from my iPhone 5 either directly or via PC. On the iPhone the tracks disappear when swiping left and deleting but the phone remains full and the data is still visible on the PC. The music was installed on the phone from the backup of a previous model but with the addition of new tracks I am now unable to add more or update to the next operating system as the phone is full. On my PC the music is still there and but the neither the delete function or any form of sorting /management on the music files is functional. Other Apple products work OK including previous phone, ipad / ipods etc.
I have tried to slide the default playlists (such as top rated) to show the delete button like you would a normal playlist but that doesn't seem to work. Is there any other way to delete them (without using a computer)?
Iphoto keeps telling me I need to manage my storage in settings. 0 bytes available. To take more pix, I keep deleting apps. If I delete all my music --12.4 GB, does it compromise my iTunes library on my Mac mini? In iCloud? Have already deleted many apps.
The computer we originally had the itunes account on was quite old, so I currently have a MacBook. The itunes library is still under the same account, but there is music on my phone's library that does not show on my computer's itunes library. I want to delete songs to save space, but they if they don't appear in the computer library, how can I get rid of them? The songs I plan to delete are neither on the library regularly, nor when I connect the phone to sync it. Any way to get rid of the unwanted music!

I just got a 9800 Torch and am using OS 6. After experimenting with the Media-Sync and Wi-Fi Options,I decided to go old school and enter my music via USB. Before I started this, I wanted to remove the files that were added by syncing as all my music was duplicated 2 or 3 times - I think the files were loading onto my Device Card and my Media Card.I have scoured all the media areas on both cards both from the BB and via my desktop (for hidden files); I even re-formatted both cards. The challenge I'm having is that one file will not delete completely. The actual MP3 is gone, but on the Music Screen the following data in the "Artists" "Albums" and "Genres" Folders:(Unknown)Artist Name(unknown)1 Song?
