There is a music file on my iPhone 4S that I can not delete via the phone or via iTunes (iTunes does not recognize the file but I can play it via the phone directly). When I pull up the file in my "music" folder there is no "delete" option.

I was going through my memorie card and I was attempting to delete pictures. I would click delete and the message "the selected file is read only.are you sure you wish to delete file" I click yes and the picture is still there.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am unable to delete music from my iPhone 5 either directly or via PC. On the iPhone the tracks disappear when swiping left and deleting but the phone remains full and the data is still visible on the PC. The music was installed on the phone from the backup of a previous model but with the addition of new tracks I am now unable to add more or update to the next operating system as the phone is full. On my PC the music is still there and but the neither the delete function or any form of sorting /management on the music files is functional. Other Apple products work OK including previous phone, ipad / ipods etc.

i am an e7 user. I was recently downloading a couple of videos at the same time when my phone hanged and had to be restarted. When it did restart, most of the files had to be redownloaded. All except one. The downloads list claims that the file has been saved. The video plays bt isnt completely downloaded.The problem now is that i cant delete the video through the file manager. The error msg says web:already in use.. When i tried deleting the file from the downloads list of the web browser, there was a similar msg.

So fine, I'll re-copy them from my PC to the SD card.But what about when my Google Music syncs, is it going to copy the Music to SD card with the other copied music? or still in internal memory? I am not able to receive any file via Bluetooth if that file is not openable by Nokia. ie., if I receive a jpg or mp3 file, it receives fine, and when I open it from Messages, it tries to open it, and then I save it from the Message to the Gallery.But when I try to receive some other type of files which is not supported by the mobile, it receives the message, but it fails to open the bluetooth message and as a result, I am not able to save it to the Mass Memory. Because my iTunes wasn't syncing my music to my iPhone properly, I tried to reinstall iTunes. I deleted all Apple-programs, except the Bonjour-file. Deleting via Control Panel doesn't work, because I have no access to the file. I can't open it in Program Files because it's damaged and unreadable. How on earth is it even possible that you can't remove one d*mn file from your computer.

i have got a sound clip which is i believe its in amr format now i cant delete it when i go into my sound clips i got the sound click there but when i click delete it says unable to delete and just goes to like a lock key icon and i cant do anything more with it. it is on my sd card stored but i cant even locate it by looking for it manually by putting the sd card in my pc. When i go into my gallery for some reason i got all my video etc there but i got this sound clip about 10 times in an microphone icon and i cant even delete it there as well.Whats going on guys i tried a hard reset and that but cant get rid of it. I tried to scan the card for bad sectors and it found 32 and fixed um but i still cant delete that file and i believe its causing my phone to behave funny like random pics turn up on the phone that i not even put on there and phone freezing etc.
