Ok my phone has started having a lot of problems recently. Its turning off and on randomly, the screen colour gets messed up at random times, like completely messed up, the wifi is a little messed up and it seems to be pretty slow So i was just wondering whats the best way for me to do a complete reset? Its on 02 btw.

So bluetooth has been turning it's self off randomly. When I try to connect my ps4 controller via bluetooth I connect and move around for 5 seconds then bluetooth turns off. It's not the controller because I can turn it on and sit at the bluetooth screen and wait abit, then it turns off for 1/2 seconds, says "turning on bluetooth" then repeats the cycle. I just updated to lollipop hoping it would fix it but no luck. I even did a factory reset. The BLE app didn't fix it either.
View 10 Replies View RelatedIt seems my auto brightness is randomly turning off. Sometimes when the device is powered on and I'm using it and sometimes when its off. I don't know why my phone just decides to unchecked auto brightness but its annoying especially when I'm reading something and my phone just decides to blind me at random.
I'm on AT&T if that is important information....
Having a bit of a problem with my phone, it just keeps shutting off randomly. I just came back from holiday and noticed it recently. It shuts off in random intervals, sometimes a couple of hours and sometimes 30 minutes or less. I doubt it has anything to do with the software as it was fine before i went on holiday, and now it keeps acting up.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThis may be a coincidence but ever since I updated to Android 2.3.5 my phone will randomly re-start itself. It definitely didn't happen before. So for example the screen will be locked, nothing happening with the phone, good battery life, (e.g. overnight) and it will suddenly re-boot. It's doubly annoying because I have a PIN SIM so it's stuck at the PIN screen, without network coverage, until I discover it and log back in. My carrier is O2 (UK) but I don't think they're at fault, it's a 2 year old SIM without any previous problems.

If I try to use the lock button when this is happening the phone will freeze.
I have also updated to the latest version to try and stop this but it didnt help.

My battery is draining at least 4-5 times a day. I've tried rebooting. I've tried starting in Safe Mode. Nothing works. And this problem started out of the blue. View 2 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded my phone today. The phone was working at the T-mobile store out of the box with the limited battery charge the phones ship with. I came home did some stuff .. and the battery was running low. It warned me so I went to plug it into my computer and continued using it. It said it was charging. After a short amount of time the screen powered down and flashed a grey battery logo with a white loading symbol and powered off again and back on doing the same thing.
After this ... the phone would no longer power on even though I left it connected via USB to the laptop. Kind of pissing me off since the phone is brand new. Can I resolve this or is the phone defective?
Over the past several weeks, while not being used (ie lock screen) my phone has randomly played about 10-20 seconds of audio while the screen remains black. It has consistently been from what seems to be a video where the person is showing a DIY for auto repair. When I unlock it i do not find any video apps open. I have not viewed any videos like this but this seemed to start after i was looking at some cars for sale online.

HTC Sense UI has an option to preview messages(2lines) and missed calls right(who and time) on lock screen. This is really handy option with small kids around you dont have to unlock your phone.Since S2 is missing that I've downloaded Notify App which works great.However - I cannot turn off stock notifications - they still show up - so at this time I have to clear notifications twice - once in App and once in Notifications Bar. Is there a way of turning off stock notifications (without custom ROM)? On all other phones i had - there was an option to go to Settings Privacy and uncheck the notifications. This is missing on S2 - all i can see under privacy is Reset to Factory.I really like the phone and how smooth it is. At this point i really dont want to do a custom ROM (`ill root it if need it)

here are the symptoms i encounter:
1. video randomly pauses - after ~20 to 30 seconds of playback, the back light turns off and immediately goes back on and resumes playback. this is regardless where the video is stored.
2. online videos (e.g. from Internet) randomly pauses - after ~20 to 30 seconds of playback, video is paused and streaming is also restarted.
3. camera momentarily freezes - video display turns off and immediately goes back on as if it has recovered from an error. same is encountered when using the front camera.
also, if you know the web browser 'dolphin', it has a feature of 'keep screen on' that will keep the back light on even if there is no activity on the phone. however, since my phone is acting weird lately, the backlight of my phone turns off after some time even if the 'keep screen on' feature is enabled.
this gave me an impression that the problem must be somewhat related to the backlight or memory. but i am not really sure. i tried to power off the phone, removed the battery, removed the sim, removed the sd, but the problem still persists.
this is annoying as hell because i cannot watch videos smoothly anymore and my video calls randomly stops.
other details of my phone:

- android version 2.3.3
- system storage 894mb free out of 1.97gb
- usb storage 5.66gb/ 11.5gb
- sd card 192mb / 1.9 gb

My previous phone was HTC Wildfire S (stock Android 2.3.3) and I was able to receive and send MMS with data connection turned off. Simply, when I send MMS phone automatically turn on data connection. Same, when somebody send MMS to me, Wildfire S automatically turn on data connection and retrieve MMS. Now I am using Samsung Galaxy S2. I have to keep data connection always on if I want to send and receive MMS. I don't want data connection to be always on because I haven't flat data plan. I tried Quick Setting app. It change APN for internet and keeps data connection always on (do not modify MMS settings). At this way I can use MMS normally, but my battery drain for just 8 hours!
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the dreaded echo when I'm using the phone and would like to know if there is a permanent way of turning off Noise Reduction as this is the only way I can get rid of it. As I already have a hearing impediment the echo is extremely annoying and having to turn off NR everytime the phone is used strikes me as ridiculous for such an expensive and otherwise marvellous piece of kit; its also a silly inconvenience.
Any hacks that will turn off NR or any chance Samsung will cure this in a software update?
I have an iphone 4 and it keeps turning off randomly and the only thing that shows when it seems like it is going to start up is the apple logo then it goes black again. What can i do to fix this? Or will i have to replace my phone?

Okay so I have just got a used BlackBerry Bold from a "pawn shop" and ever since I have got it, when my battery level was 15-30% juice left, it dies whenever im on the phone or when I am on bbm and it wont turn on until I plug in the charger, now once I plug it in, the red light goes solid and the phone resets itself, I then turn it right back on, I go on the main menu, then options, than status, and the battery went right down to 5% power
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having an odd problem with my Lumia 800, The phone randomly shuts down, it doesn't seem to be related to the power levels as it does it when fully charged. It can go 2 days or 5 minutes before doing this. The odd thing is that to turn it back on I have to plug it into my PC, it comes back on immediately... it does not seem to come on if I plug it into the mains. This is a recent issue it worked for a couple of months without any issues.

The most ridiculous incident was when it turned off and on while just lying on the table! There are no software updates available for this old phone
