Jun 7, 2012I have an iphone 4 and it keeps turning off randomly and the only thing that shows when it seems like it is going to start up is the apple logo then it goes black again. What can i do to fix this? Or will i have to replace my phone?

Jul 22, 2011Okay so I have just got a used BlackBerry Bold from a "pawn shop" and ever since I have got it, when my battery level was 15-30% juice left, it dies whenever im on the phone or when I am on bbm and it wont turn on until I plug in the charger, now once I plug it in, the red light goes solid and the phone resets itself, I then turn it right back on, I go on the main menu, then options, than status, and the battery went right down to 5% power

Sep 28, 2012I'm having an odd problem with my Lumia 800, The phone randomly shuts down, it doesn't seem to be related to the power levels as it does it when fully charged. It can go 2 days or 5 minutes before doing this. The odd thing is that to turn it back on I have to plug it into my PC, it comes back on immediately... it does not seem to come on if I plug it into the mains. This is a recent issue it worked for a couple of months without any issues.

Jan 22, 2010I just bought a used 8310 from a bidding website, and the problem ive got is the phone is usable as long as not much is being done on it, but when you start using apps like fb, msn, bbm and others(not at once) somehow the phone shuts down itself without any warning, and it cant be turned on unless its plugged to electricity or battery is removed and replaced, only to be shut down in short time after its turned on, for it to be somehow usable for some time more it must be charged for a few. I checked the status option and its got plenty free space(24mb) ive spent countless hours researching for the same problem online, and many say its the OS, but ive downgraded it, then ugraded it, rebooted it, master rebooted it, done everything to it but technically nothing works(after OS upgrade it worked perfectly with apps for around 3 hours). Oh and i forgot to say battery compsuption seems quite high, after its done charging its at 100%, then use msn and fb for around and hour and goes down to 80% couple of shut downs and turn ons after its at 5%. So, anyone has an idea what the problem might be? I dont want to buy a new battery to later find out its the phone that its deffective, and if its deffective anyone had any luck repairing it? the phone works perfectly while plugged in to an outlet or pc, it does not shut itself off at all.

Sep 20, 2012My Neo V keeps turning up the volume randomly to max and whenever the volume bar near the top shows up I turn it down, but it just goes back up. And it sits there and doesn't let me lock the phone, or occasionally, the phone won't sleep. Then it makes the noise when you press on the volume control repeatedly. It also does that when I have headphones in, just turns the sound all the way up. Is it something wrong with the internal configurations of the phone or the button?

I uninstalled the app to see if that was the cause, but it is the still doing it. It will sometimes come back on its own. And it will come back after a restart. Until about 2 months ago the phone started intermittedly turning off, I would press the power button to switch back on which wouldnt work for about 5 minutes. The phone would work again for 10 minutes and then the same thing would occur
Battery was fully charged, software was all up to date. After advice from customer support I performed a factory reset and the same problems occured
Since then I have put the phone in for repair and it came back after a couple of days with the fix notes of "software reset"
The phone worked again for a couple of weeks but recently has started to do the exact same thing. I've just put it in for repair again after going over all of the same questions and scenario's as I did the first time around

Oct 27, 2015So bluetooth has been turning it's self off randomly. When I try to connect my ps4 controller via bluetooth I connect and move around for 5 seconds then bluetooth turns off. It's not the controller because I can turn it on and sit at the bluetooth screen and wait abit, then it turns off for 1/2 seconds, says "turning on bluetooth" then repeats the cycle. I just updated to lollipop hoping it would fix it but no luck. I even did a factory reset. The BLE app didn't fix it either.

Jul 19, 2014I got my Nexus 5 on the 2nd of this month. I'm on Android 4.4.4. Just today, I was out and about and I realized that, although I was going into settings and turning Wi-Fi off, it just kept turning it right back on! (I had been using the Wi-Fi at the mall, then later I went to a friend's house and connected to my friend's Wi-Fi, which did not work.) So, I turned on my data, only for it to turn off after I guess about 30 seconds. I turned it back on, went on WhatsApp, in the middle of replying to a text from my friend it goes off yet again! What the... So, I went into settings and turned data on, and Wi-Fi off. As I watched, the Wi-Fi switched itself back on, and, predictably, even though there were no wireless networks to connect to, my data turned off as well.
This is really inconvenient. What could be causing the problem? I don't think I've downloaded any apps recently, but they do sometimes update. It was working fine on Thursday, but I've had my data off since then. I also booted into Safe Mode, and the problem doesn't seem to persist.

Feb 13, 2011I had a contract with Vodafone over 2 years ago and decided on the BlackBerry Storm 9500 handset . After 6 Months of receiving the phone it developed a fault, i have returned it for repairs on a number of occasions and the reoccurring problem has never been solved & fixed . After eighteen months the phone will still not turn on and when it does work it turns off within one hour of it working, i have been to the Vodafone shop in Torquay South Devon and they supplied me with a new battery to try but it still switches itself off . I ave talked to Vodafone and i was told a fault has been found on this particular model of handset. After 24 months of having this contract phone i have now upgraded to a BlackBerry Torch . I would like to return the 9500 handset to get a free full repair or a replacement as i now need to use both phones. This phone has also had problems with freezing and locking up

"Plane mode" is unfortunately not an option as it doesn't allow listening to the radio... (whereas it allows you to connect yourself to a Wi-fi network or to receive GPS signals, for instance) Would be great if there was a widget "Enable/Disable GSM networks" or something like that, as there is for other functions... but I couldn't find such a thing.

Mar 26, 2012My iPhone 3GS shuts down randomly everyday during use. Plenty of battery (more than 50% at the lowest). It just goes black. And there is a strange vertical banding in the black dead screen. Restarting begins working, apple logo appears, but after a long wait it just quits again and goes black. Again, there is plenty of battery charge, this can happen on a full charge. Have tried hard-restarting by pressing power and home with the same result. Only when I have plugged it into a power source does it boot. It can then be disconnected immediately and used for hours, or until it crashes again.
This often happens with angry birds (any version) but that's just because I play it too much, it can also happen using apple apps like mail

Apr 13, 2012I purchased a new 16gb AT&T iPhone4s a few days ago and today when I went to use my phone I noticed it had turned off by itself. The only way I was able to power it back on was to hold the home and power buttons at the same time. I did a lot of research on the problem and saw that if the Diagnostics had a panic.plist that there are hardware errors or failures involved.
So I looked at my diagnostics and can confirm there are two logs with the panic.plist header. panic(cpu 0 caller 0x8007617c):lck_mtx)lock():mutex (0x9B5A2820): 0x000080000. The phone came preinstalled with OS 5.1.
So I am here to ask if this is a case where I have no choice but to replace my phone... From everything I've read it seems to be the case, but I've only had the phone for a few days and would be really upset if this were the case. I gave Apple a call and they said to basically not worry about it unless it happens again... but after doing the research it has just got me more worried.

Apr 15, 2012Okay so i got a gamestop refurbished iPhone 3gs and yesterday everything was working out great and the phone was working fine. Today on the other hand, i encountered my phone randomly shutting off by itself. Once it did it when i opened the camera app and the others were from txt messages or using the internet. The battery was around 50% or so too so it was far from a dead battery. Once the phone shuts off, sometimes i can reboot the phone and other times i need to plug it in to reboot.

Apr 26, 2012Just to explain the situation, my iphone randomly turned off a couple of months ago and was stuck in recovery mode somehow and none of the computers I used could restore it.I sent it off to be fixed via insurance and it came back seemingly fine but a little after that it would just randomally switch off and not turn back on unless I connected it to a power supply or hard reset it.A couple of days ago it turned off anytime I tried to access an app I'd repeatedly opened previously and then it would't switch on or respond to anything.I put it in DFU mode and restored it although errors 21, 1611 and 3194 came up a couple of times, it eventually got restored but now it's just stuck with the logo flashing at me every other second as if it's about to turn on but then suddenly stops.
Also puttin the phone in DFU mode was the only way to get itunes to detect it.
