Does anybody know of a way to change the way things are displayed when you hit the notification bar on the home screen? For instance, for my appointments today, it simply has todays date next to it instead of the specific time its occurring today

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm on my 2nd Torch - the 1st one had a defect when I tried to use the GPS feature that I subscribe to AT&T. When I did the even exchange, they were not able to transfer my info but luckily I backed up my old phone prior to going in.Now my problem is with my email accounts.No matter what ring tone/notification sound I pick - it doesn't notify me when I receive emails to my yahoo email account or my work email account.I've rebooted, deleted ALL apps...selected different ring tones but nothing.I receive the emails in my message list, but it never notifies me, which means I'll have to continuously check to see if I received work/personal emails throughout the day.And to top it off, I just discovered that I can't reply to my emails ANY emails from either account.I Menu click to 'Reply', but then when I menu click again to send, there is no 'Send' option. Only Save as Draft, etc.

I am ready to return the phone and go back to BB 9700. The Torch is great, but it's lagging too much and I have to pull the battery everytime I need to use GPS, otherwise, I won't get any GPS signal.
It's just my personal reference, I like the 9700 better.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Torch 9800. I have changed the password on my email accounts, but now I cannot update the email account settings on my phone. I have tried accessing via the setup menu, where nothing happens when I select "Email Accounts" (even after a hard reboot), and through the Options menu in the messages folder. When I access it from there I get a message that says to contact the service provider.

When i go to "Setup", "Email Accounts", then click on "Internet Mail Account", it simply circulates back to "Email Accounts". It keeps doing this repeatedly. anyways, I'd like to know if this option still exists, because I'm trying to access a mobile website but its coming up as the full website. When I tried putting an m. in front of the website it didnt work so I'm not sure how to access it.
I have already installed the new Desktop Manager 6.0 that I downloaded from the RIM site.
I am thinking the safest way to not have a problem is the just restore my 9800 data from a back up rather than do the Switch Device thing. Anyone worried it might bring erroneous crap into the new 6.0 OS.
Maybe it would be better to redo my settings after the data install to make sure all is clean and working correctly. Some of the 5.0 setting would not be applicable to the new 6.0 software.

HTC one S - all of a sudden I have no notification sounds. All the settings are correct and when I do trial run with sound I can hear it but when and actual call or text message comes in all I get is vibrate, I get no sound. What's up with that? I have turned off and on hoping to reset - no go.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI performed a hard reset on my 1520 due to the camera freezing up on me after I pressed the shutter button. However, a new issue has arrived. Once I set up my phone again, using my most recent backup, I signed into all of my apps as usual, and then I found myself in Settings setting up my notifications sounds, banners, etc. But, the list was very short. The only apps in the list were the initial apps on the phone: messaging, phone, the email accounts, etc. Before I performed my hard reset, the notifications list included 6tag, Kik, and every other app that had notification abilities. Now, they are gone.

When I put an event on the stock Google Calendar, I specifically have my settings to say NO notifications. I look at the event when created and it has NO notifications. Yet 10 minutes before the event like clockwork, boom, notification.
I'm going to go into the desktop version of Calendar and see what I can do there, but this notification stuff is annoying.
I know they are iPhone lovers, maybe Steve is paying them to leave it there since they dis the Torch so much.

My school e-mail is weird because when I go inside everything looks exactly like gmail but it isn't exactly gmail beacuse you can't sign on from www.gmail.com. Gotta go through the school website. Sometimes you can see them in the preview area but when you click on them you get a weird icon that looks like a wheel. Sometimes even in the preview area you cannot see the pic at all.Still on the official OS that came with the phone. Does anyone know what the problem is? I recently swapped out to a larger memory card but I had the problem on both cards.

As you already know, the ring volume on the Torch 9800 is extremely low. So I tried to email custom mp3 ringtones to my phone to use instead. In attempting to do so, I received a message saying "More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found." I also received this message when trying to email a photo to my blackberry. This never use to happen in past blackberries I have owned.
How do I fix this "service book information not found" issue ?
I have bought a Torch, but cannot get it to set up in the Organizer configuration to sync with my Calendar in MS Office XP- Outlook. My computer runs Windows XP. The contacts and memo will configure (although) they are posting to an archive folder and when I try to change that I get Error 0x80043bea), but the Calendar and Tasks will go through the set-up process, but when you finish it, the checkmark on those 2 Outlook folder disappears before you can even select the advance settings.I have re-set the configuration on the Desktop software a couple of times, to no avail, and uninstalled the Desktop 6.0 software and reinstalled it. None of these measures have changed the problem.Any suggestions?
