Sep 26, 2012I have a Torch 9800. All of a sudden ALL alerts stopped working, including the LED light, the sound or Vibrate when there is a new message.

BB Torch :: 9800 Cannot Send SMS Longer Than One Line
Jun 7, 2012I have a problem concerning my blackberry torch 9800. My daughter updated the phone and then this problem occurred. I can send 2 3 words with no problem but when I write something longer, 1 2 sentences, and then I press send and the message just disappears without being sent.

Jul 12, 2011After downloading the latest BB torch software o/s update, (6.0 Bundle 2391), the numlock feature doesn't work.
When I press the numlock key on the screen keypad (both SureType and Qwerty), it only stays in effect for a few numbers pressed, and then releases by itself. It used to work fine before this bundle update.

Sep 5, 2010I have had the torch for about 2 weeks and initially didn't like it at all, I had a Curve for 2 years but dropped it once too often :-(. Anyway I am a big guy 6'2" 225 and I am still getting used to typing (hope i will), but the biggest issue I have is the "Lock" button for the phone. I usually keep the phone in my pocket and if you breath on the lock button too hard the phone unlocks. Is there an option for holding the lock button down for "X" seconds before the phone unlocks, I loved that you had to hit 2 keys to unlock the Curve. I really don't want to deal with a password, is that my only option?
i really only want it for text,email and talking to people, would I be better off with the new Curve 3G?

Oct 20, 2012My torch 9800 was working fine, upgraded to 6.0 Bundle 2949, and it synced a few times, and now It will not sync. It goes 1/2 way through and then I get the error message "Sync Error-Invalid record ID" "An error occured during an attempt to access a device database record.
I've all ready given up getting all of my palm addresses into this device, but now I may loose all of my contacts between my computer & phone I have...

Mar 17, 2012Camera worked until a week ago. Now when I take a photo, I see it at the far left in the tray but when I click on view photos, it says no photos.I have reformatted and repaired both the media card and built in storage but the same thing still happens.

I had read about this issue and I decided not to worry about it and went on without those programs.Now..Today i no longer have app world? I uninstalled and reinstalled many times.Read many forums and even wiped the phone and reinstalled.still no app world. Nov 28, 2011I have the Torch 9800 and I'm running Wndows XP with the most recent version of Desktop manager.Up until two weeks ago my phone and computer communicated beautifully, syncing, back-ups, file sharing, everything. But last week my computer and phone seemed to fail to see each other and now nothing is happening when I plug my phone in. The phone goes to the 'clock' screen as if it's plugged into a charger and doesn't display a connection issue on it's end, but the computer does not show that anything has been connected.So far I have:
1) Checked the USB connection to the comptuter
2) Tried different USB ports
3) Tried a different USB cable
4) Wiped and re-installed Desktop manager on my computer
I'm at a loss on how to get my computer and phone talking to each other again.

Nov 11, 2010My Blackberry 9800 Torch will no longer switch from portrait to landscape view in any application when I turn the unit on its side. It is stuck in portrait view. Very frustrating! This happened once before but corrected itself. Is there a setting that can changed? My carrier, Bell Mobility, was of no assistance. Just told me to return the unit for repair which would take 6 - 8 weeks.

Aug 13, 2010I just picked up a new Torch today. I've have a Bold 9000 for a long time and am used to dropping it into my belt case or pouch and having it turn off and go into in-holster mode. When I put the Torch in my 9000 cases it doesn't seem to do anything. Did RIM remove the magnet sensor and no longer have an in-holster mode? Or is the sensor in a different place and it won't work with my Bold cases? Am I missing something? I don't like having to click the lock button on the top before dropping into the case.

The emails and phone numbers in this list work fine for other models we have (9650,etc.) But users with new BB Torch 9800 can not click on the phone numbers or emails any more. Our provider is ATT. Aug 16, 2010I'm on my 2nd Torch - the 1st one had a defect when I tried to use the GPS feature that I subscribe to AT&T. When I did the even exchange, they were not able to transfer my info but luckily I backed up my old phone prior to going in.Now my problem is with my email accounts.No matter what ring tone/notification sound I pick - it doesn't notify me when I receive emails to my yahoo email account or my work email account.I've rebooted, deleted ALL apps...selected different ring tones but nothing.I receive the emails in my message list, but it never notifies me, which means I'll have to continuously check to see if I received work/personal emails throughout the day.And to top it off, I just discovered that I can't reply to my emails ANY emails from either account.I Menu click to 'Reply', but then when I menu click again to send, there is no 'Send' option. Only Save as Draft, etc.

BB Torch :: It Is No Longer Working With Apps
Oct 30, 2012My blackberry 9800 is no longer working with apps. It appears that all newly installed apps or upgraded apps (purchased or free) now give a 'verify error' on start up. I have re-installed the apps and even re-installed the OS to no avail.Online forums show many others with this issue but the only advice is upgrade to OS 7 which is not an option for the 9800 I own (a bit over a year old) some suggestion the app registry is full but no idea how to fix this.

I've got an Aol account for my email but they are not getting sent to my BB Torch anymore. Aug 17, 2011As of about a week ago, I have started receiving only about 10% of the messages and notifications from facebook that I used to receive to my Blackberry. 90% of the messages and notifications now just get stuck in facebook and I only see them when I log into fb through my laptop.
As of the last week, every once in a while I will receive some facebook message or notification to my blackberry, but the majority don't make it to my Blackberry and instead just stay on facebook until I open the site on my laptop.

(I'm running OS6, bundle 2647) I chatted w/AT&T, but they directed me back to Blackberry.I have tried soft reboot, hard reboot, restoring from desktop software, re-downloading BBSAK to wipeout & reload OS6, but my phone will not even show as connected so desktop software & BBSAK will not recognize my device. After removing the battery, the red LED light comes on, the screen lights up, but the bar at startup wont even get 25% across now before it shuts down & restarts again. What can I do to get my BB Torch to reboot?
