BB Torch :: It Is No Longer Working With Apps
Oct 30, 2012My blackberry 9800 is no longer working with apps. It appears that all newly installed apps or upgraded apps (purchased or free) now give a 'verify error' on start up. I have re-installed the apps and even re-installed the OS to no avail.Online forums show many others with this issue but the only advice is upgrade to OS 7 which is not an option for the 9800 I own (a bit over a year old) some suggestion the app registry is full but no idea how to fix this.

Aug 4, 2011I think this subject has been talked about before, but I can't find anywhere that has a successful result to my "problem". My email has been working fine, then nothing. I've got an Aol account for my email but they are not getting sent to my BB Torch anymore. I get the message "Your device had a problem connecting to the server" when I try to access the email account in Setup. I've tried: Taking the battery out ... Waiting.... Taking the battery and sim card out... Waiting... Hitting my head against a brick wall (only joking, but that will happen soon if I don't get this fixed) Deleting the CMIME, for the email account I'm using, out of the service book? Re registering the handset Nothing works

Aug 3, 2010Hi my Nokia N86 has stopped sending sms! It keeps trying to send them but never sends, I have called my network (o2) who says its the phone but it was working ok for 5 months, I have turned off the GPRS connectivity and checked my SMS settings, all is fine but it just wont send.I have a sneaking suspicion that this has happened since I use the 'software update' tool but the only updates that were updated was 'ovi contacts' and 'ovi maps' could they interfere with my sms?

I can't think of any settings I've changed or new apps that I've installed that could explain the sudden change. I use Outlook mail if that makes a difference. I use the Share "line and dot" link withing my photo gallery, choose the photo, then email, then size of photo, and send.

May 17, 2012So a few days ago I dropped my iPhone 4. I'm not 100% sure but I think that is when my sound stopped working. The speakers are working fine, I can hear music and things like that. None of the phone sounds such as clicking when lock/unlocked, keyboard clicks etc are working. When I press the + and - volume buttons the icon does not appear, same as when i mute/unmute it. No sounds, nothing appears. Also, when I receive incoming calls the ringer no longer works.
I have tried cleaning with toothbrush, restarting, restoring, blowing in the phone, etc.

I have deleted the gmail off my phone. Gone to gmail on my laptop and changed the password. Went to settings and reset up, still getting same error. I have done the capta reset on both my phone and my laptop. Nothing.

Motorola Xoom :: SIM No Longer Working
May 31, 2011Have got 2 broadband dongles (Vodafone and 3) and used both SIMs in the XOOM and they worked fine (after the obligatory reboot). However they no longer work and try as I might i can't get them to work.
If it helps when there is no SIM in the tablet I don't get the No SIM present on the home page screen.
I have tried everything even a factory reset but nothing. don't make me buy an iPad - i couldn't stand it!
Other symptons are that the battery life seems to be much shorter now but this could be an illusion.
BB Torch :: Can No Longer Sync With Outlook
Jul 31, 2011I purchased and have been happily using b torch 9800 since sometime early this year. It has always synced smoothly through h Outlook with my calendar, contacts, tasks and notes - but no longer. Several weeks ago I installed the new BlackBerry update. Now all I have is a phone and some nice photos and info about appointments I had weeks ago. I admit that I am technologically challenged, but "the tech guy" at work is stumped also. it appears to go through the motions of syncing (connecting to outlook, reviewing contacts, calendar, etc.)but when it announces completion nothing has updated on my bb. Tech guy tried to install the update but couldn't successfully revert to prior version. For now I'm back to writing down my appointments on paper and calling my office when I need the tel number for a recently new client , but that's already old. Apparently I'm not the only one with this bb created problem. I assume bb has a patch or will real soon

Mar 30, 2012I downloaded and used Siri Assistant on my iPhone 3gs for about a year. Loved it. Now, the app still starts, but continually says there is no network connection available? Has Apple stopped supporting the stand alone version just because they have now included it in the 4gs?
Also, does the 4gs have file send capability via Bluetooth yet, and if not, what are we supposed to do with synching our contact and phone information into our Prius?
Only way I have found so far is to copy my Outlook contact list into my old Sony Ericson phone and synch it with the Prius. That worked from day one, and sure beats the heck out of trying to enter each and every contact one key at a time.

May 12, 2012I own an Iphone 4 running ios 5.1.1. I used to be able to watch a video using my HDMI adapter when i was running ios 5.0.
But i recently wanted to use it and i saw it would not work at all !!! I was running ios 5.0.1. Then i thought i should update my iphone to make it work again, but in vain, my adapter seems to work no more... I of course tried to restore my iphone and checked my hdmi cable.
