LG G4 :: Share Via Email No Longer Working
Sep 28, 2015I occasionally email people photos, but suddenly, my G4 has stopped sending. I can't think of any settings I've changed or new apps that I've installed that could explain the sudden change. I use Outlook mail if that makes a difference. I use the Share "line and dot" link withing my photo gallery, choose the photo, then email, then size of photo, and send.

Jul 27, 2011I have a Blackberry Torch on Vodafone UK which I've been using for several months very happily. I had set up two email addresses - a hotmail.com account and an email account with my own domain name (name@namesurname.co.uk). Up until this morning they were working just fine.
This morning I noticed that a lot of emails were coming into Outlook on my PC but not coming to my handset. I sent test messages from my handset and they never arrived in Outlook. So I resent the service books, got the usual "set up successful" message, but still nothing. I did a hard reset, but no change.I logged in to Vodafone's BIS site and removed the mydomain email account, as in the past when I have had problems removing it and re-adding it seemed to fix it. However, now I can't put it back on! Even when I add the additional data via the website I get the following message:
An error occurred during email account validation. I tried the same process via the handset and get a similar error message:Invalid email address or password. Verify your email address and password. If the error persists, contact namesurname.co.uk (i.e. my domain)
Now, I know that the password is correct as I am using the same one to log into my webmail and to get emails in Outlook. I have checked the email server in cPanel for my domain. So as far as I'm concerned all of the info is correct.
What else can I try? I've set up a forwarder for my domain mail to a newly created vodafone mail account in the meantime, but it's not ideal as this doesn't have the "delete on mailbox and handheld" option. Unfortunately I've tried calling Vodafone twice - the first person I spoke to said he would ring me back in under two hours, and that was five hours ago. The second person was far from helpful. Please help, this is very frustrating!
(Update: I have also changed the password for my email account to ensure that it is DEFINITELY the right one, and deleted almost all the messages from the inbox (there were some over 8MB which may have been causing the problem). I have also completely deleted my BIS account and started again from scratch. Still no joy.)
BB Torch :: Internet Email No Longer Working?
Aug 4, 2011I think this subject has been talked about before, but I can't find anywhere that has a successful result to my "problem". My email has been working fine, then nothing. I've got an Aol account for my email but they are not getting sent to my BB Torch anymore. I get the message "Your device had a problem connecting to the server" when I try to access the email account in Setup. I've tried: Taking the battery out ... Waiting.... Taking the battery and sim card out... Waiting... Hitting my head against a brick wall (only joking, but that will happen soon if I don't get this fixed) Deleting the CMIME, for the email account I'm using, out of the service book? Re registering the handset Nothing works

We purchased these phones so that our engineers and sales guys can access their emails away from the office.Earlier this week our email server was taken offline for maintenance and all the Blackberrys asked us to validate our email accounts. It has asked us to do this before and we simply re-entered the details and away we went.Not this time though. Despite passwords, exchange address, usernames remaining the same we still consistently get the following error message.Invalid email address or password. Verify your email address and password. If the error persists, contact document-options.co.uk I can access my emails via the exchange via the internet using the same details that i am putting into the blackberry so i know that they do work. Just can't get the blackberry to receive my emails.I am not to tech minded but i do have an IT team inhouse that manage the exchange server.I have spoken to vodafone who also tried to setup the email account their end but got the same error message.

Jun 13, 2012I have had my Bold for almost two years now and I've NEVER had a problem... until now. I received message saying I needed to validate my email address and password because I am no longer receiving emails to my phone. I tried to log in and the username and password don't work. I've never had to use this password and email until now, therefore is should not have been changed. I don't know how to fix the settings at all especially since I can't log into my settings!

Mar 16, 2015I may have stopped "google framwork services" last week, but I do not think this is related.Basically, my gmail app no longer gets push notifications or syncs automatically.I have android 5.0.1. nexus 5 and the latest gmail app versions. I have checked all settings in the app, and made sure that all my sync settings are enabled. I can see that the last sync of gmail was over 30 minutes ago, yet I've sent emails to my gmail account since then and they appear on the web version.The app won;t show new emails until I manually refresh within the app.
I googled a bit and saw that some people with a similar issue dod a "factory reset" to solve. that seems a bit extreme. Is there any other way around this. I've done all the usual things, cleared data in gmail app and forced stop and restarted phone.I even removed my google account and readded it. nothing worked.
BB Software :: BIS No Longer Working After A Failed Exchange Update?
Apr 5, 2010I have a sick exchange 2007 server. I tried to update it to Sp2 and it didnt work out. I have managed to get my server up and fully functional however, BIS is not working. What seems to have happened is that SP2 disabled all of the exchange realted services on the server. I have everything working, however I suspect a service that isnt running.what services BIS needs running on an exchange server?

Feb 26, 2012I had setup and Active Exchange account for my Gmail (this way I could also sync my mail, calendar, and todo lists easily). Everything was working smoothly, until I installed the Mircrosoft Apps update yesterday. Now I can no longer get this to work. It says my Inbox is empty and never finds any mail. It did work yesterday after I deleted the mail account re setup the active exchange account. But then last night I turned my phone off and this morning when I had turned it on, the account email inbox was all blank/empty. The Calendar was still synced though.Now I am trying to re setup the account, and its not working at all.(Nokia E7 Belle phone)

Jul 2, 2012The motion detector trigger is no longer working after my ICS update on my Droid Razr. Before that I had battery extender operating with no issues - it turned off background data and syncing when the screen was dimmed plus there was no movement. After, the battery extender will trigger every time my display goes off, ignoring the motion detector. Or other times it won't trigger at all, even when sitting on a flat unmoving surface. I've tried disabling and re-enabling. I've tried clearing the cache. I've deleted the rule and redone it several times. Sometimes I can get it to work if I shake the phone vigorously before place it firmly down, but not always. Before the update to ICS, it had the right sensitivity and worked every time. Currently I'm running Smart Actions version 3.1.5.1.2.
Is there any way to make this work again? It's such a shame to lose it, but I don't like having the battery extender kick in every time the screen goes off (as, if it times out while I'm looking at it, then I lose all my data while using the phone).

Aug 3, 2010Hi my Nokia N86 has stopped sending sms! It keeps trying to send them but never sends, I have called my network (o2) who says its the phone but it was working ok for 5 months, I have turned off the GPRS connectivity and checked my SMS settings, all is fine but it just wont send.I have a sneaking suspicion that this has happened since I use the 'software update' tool but the only updates that were updated was 'ovi contacts' and 'ovi maps' could they interfere with my sms?

Feb 9, 2010So the update is available for the UK phones and I updated my 5530 to the v.20 firmware. Unlike what most users say that the phone is faster, I dont really find that to be the case. When I startup, it takes awhile longer. Sometimes the wallpaper appears and then disappears and then reappears again with the contacts bar and everything. The problem really seems to be the home screen. Every time I go back to the home screen or click on menu, theres a black line in the center, a flash n nothing happens or a flash n it works. Battery pull did not fix the issue.
I've had my Curve BB for over a month with little to no problems (it stopped 'pushing' to my custom email a couple weeks ago, but I researched and resent the service books, etc. and it worked fine after that). Now, however, it has dropped/removed my two custom email icons. Poof. Gone. One minute they were there, the next, gone. I've already checked to make sure they weren't hidden. They're not. I went into email setting again and it no longer even showed them as having been set up - one of them being my home email that is pushed to my BB and the second being my BB email itself.
BB Torch :: BBM & Email Not Working Post Software 6.6 Update?
Oct 3, 2011I connected my 9800 torch to for a back up I noticed there is an software update.Once the update was complete, my phone was reset to factory settings. I reloaded the back up files of all my contacts but can not get my BBM, Email, facebook to work anymore.The same type off message gets given that I do not have a service plan that supports this application (FB), BBM just hangs and no message gets sent or delivered and as for the email it just says service connection is unavailable.I am currently traveling and is using the phone on wifi only as there is no signal available. All other internet based applications work. Phone works when I am in signal range.
