I occasionally email people photos, but suddenly, my G4 has stopped sending. I can't think of any settings I've changed or new apps that I've installed that could explain the sudden change. I use Outlook mail if that makes a difference. I use the Share "line and dot" link withing my photo gallery, choose the photo, then email, then size of photo, and send.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Torch on Vodafone UK which I've been using for several months very happily. I had set up two email addresses - a hotmail.com account and an email account with my own domain name (name@namesurname.co.uk). Up until this morning they were working just fine.
This morning I noticed that a lot of emails were coming into Outlook on my PC but not coming to my handset. I sent test messages from my handset and they never arrived in Outlook. So I resent the service books, got the usual "set up successful" message, but still nothing. I did a hard reset, but no change.I logged in to Vodafone's BIS site and removed the mydomain email account, as in the past when I have had problems removing it and re-adding it seemed to fix it. However, now I can't put it back on! Even when I add the additional data via the website I get the following message:
An error occurred during email account validation. I tried the same process via the handset and get a similar error message:Invalid email address or password. Verify your email address and password. If the error persists, contact namesurname.co.uk (i.e. my domain)
Now, I know that the password is correct as I am using the same one to log into my webmail and to get emails in Outlook. I have checked the email server in cPanel for my domain. So as far as I'm concerned all of the info is correct.
What else can I try? I've set up a forwarder for my domain mail to a newly created vodafone mail account in the meantime, but it's not ideal as this doesn't have the "delete on mailbox and handheld" option. Unfortunately I've tried calling Vodafone twice - the first person I spoke to said he would ring me back in under two hours, and that was five hours ago. The second person was far from helpful. Please help, this is very frustrating!
(Update: I have also changed the password for my email account to ensure that it is DEFINITELY the right one, and deleted almost all the messages from the inbox (there were some over 8MB which may have been causing the problem). I have also completely deleted my BIS account and started again from scratch. Still no joy.)
I think this subject has been talked about before, but I can't find anywhere that has a successful result to my "problem". My email has been working fine, then nothing. I've got an Aol account for my email but they are not getting sent to my BB Torch anymore. I get the message "Your device had a problem connecting to the server" when I try to access the email account in Setup. I've tried: Taking the battery out ... Waiting.... Taking the battery and sim card out... Waiting... Hitting my head against a brick wall (only joking, but that will happen soon if I don't get this fixed) Deleting the CMIME, for the email account I'm using, out of the service book? We purchased these phones so that our engineers and sales guys can access their emails away from the office.Earlier this week our email server was taken offline for maintenance and all the Blackberrys asked us to validate our email accounts. It has asked us to do this before and we simply re-entered the details and away we went.Not this time though. Despite passwords, exchange address, usernames remaining the same we still consistently get the following error message.Invalid email address or password. Verify your email address and password. If the error persists, contact document-options.co.uk I can access my emails via the exchange via the internet using the same details that i am putting into the blackberry so i know that they do work. I received message saying I needed to validate my email address and password because I am no longer receiving emails to my phone. I tried to log in and the username and password don't work. I've never had to use this password and email until now, therefore is should not have been changed. I don't know how to fix the settings at all especially since I can't log into my settings!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI may have stopped "google framwork services" last week, but I do not think this is related.Basically, my gmail app no longer gets push notifications or syncs automatically.I have android 5.0.1. nexus 5 and the latest gmail app versions. I have checked all settings in the app, and made sure that all my sync settings are enabled. I can see that the last sync of gmail was over 30 minutes ago, yet I've sent emails to my gmail account since then and they appear on the web version.The app won;t show new emails until I manually refresh within the app.
I googled a bit and saw that some people with a similar issue dod a "factory reset" to solve. that seems a bit extreme. Is there any other way around this. I've done all the usual things, cleared data in gmail app and forced stop and restarted phone.I even removed my google account and readded it. nothing worked.
I had setup and Active Exchange account for my Gmail (this way I could also sync my mail, calendar, and todo lists easily). Everything was working smoothly, until I installed the Mircrosoft Apps update yesterday. Now I can no longer get this to work. It says my Inbox is empty and never finds any mail. It did work yesterday after I deleted the mail account re setup the active exchange account. But then last night I turned my phone off and this morning when I had turned it on, the account email inbox was all blank/empty. The Calendar was still synced though.Now I am trying to re setup the account, and its not working at all.(Nokia E7 Belle phone)

Fantastic tool! then I upgraded to ice cream sandwich and now I can't connect either by scanningthe QR or using the previous successful connection.The PC version generates the barcode, the phone reads it successfully and reads "preparing phoneshare", I get a connection PC reads "connecting to smartphone" then "retrieving data from address book" appears on PC app, finally "poneshare ready" on the PC. The connection is not established though and the icons on the PC remained greyed out. The message on the phone app remains "preparing phoneshare" and after 10-20 minutes hangs.I have reinstalled the PC and phone apps to no avail. Is anyone else getting this? Is it a known/unrecognised bug on ICS?

Now the only way I can download an app is through the itunes website on our IMAC then sinc my phone to our itunes account. I have tried to change my Apple ID but because my husband and I share an email address, myapple ID will not let me use the same Apple ID.

When I choose this the email opens and I can send, but the recipient, just get pages of code not the photo. If I create an email I can attach the photo and it sends. I also get this when i try to forward some photos i receive via email, they just receive code.

I've had my Curve BB for over a month with little to no problems (it stopped 'pushing' to my custom email a couple weeks ago, but I researched and resent the service books, etc. and it worked fine after that). Now, however, it has dropped/removed my two custom email icons. Poof. Gone. One minute they were there, the next, gone. I've already checked to make sure they weren't hidden. They're not. I went into email setting again and it no longer even showed them as having been set up - one of them being my home email that is pushed to my BB and the second being my BB email itself.
Had a message last night when syncing mail to upgrade Nokia Email to recieve hotmail. This had been working fine earlier in the day. I am now currently on the newest version available of Nokia Email and it still won't sync with my Hotmail account.

Hi my Nokia N86 has stopped sending sms! It keeps trying to send them but never sends, I have called my network (o2) who says its the phone but it was working ok for 5 months, I have turned off the GPRS connectivity and checked my SMS settings, all is fine but it just wont send.I have a sneaking suspicion that this has happened since I use the 'software update' tool but the only updates that were updated was 'ovi contacts' and 'ovi maps' could they interfere with my sms?

I go to the setup on the main screen (the phone with the green gear) and I can see under set up the little icon for Email Accounts, but when I click on it nothing opens up. I can click on other icons (i.e. Wi-Fi) and the set up screen opens for them, but not for the email accounts.
Not sure what is going on, but I can no longer get my Exchange email. I can send to my self, but the email only shows on my laptop and not on my iPhone.
Any help would be appreciated.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo a few days ago I dropped my iPhone 4. I'm not 100% sure but I think that is when my sound stopped working. The speakers are working fine, I can hear music and things like that. None of the phone sounds such as clicking when lock/unlocked, keyboard clicks etc are working. When I press the + and - volume buttons the icon does not appear, same as when i mute/unmute it. No sounds, nothing appears. Also, when I receive incoming calls the ringer no longer works.
I have tried cleaning with toothbrush, restarting, restoring, blowing in the phone, etc.

I have deleted the gmail off my phone. Gone to gmail on my laptop and changed the password. Went to settings and reset up, still getting same error. I have done the capta reset on both my phone and my laptop. Nothing.

My blackberry 9800 is no longer working with apps. It appears that all newly installed apps or upgraded apps (purchased or free) now give a 'verify error' on start up. I have re-installed the apps and even re-installed the OS to no avail.Online forums show many others with this issue but the only advice is upgrade to OS 7 which is not an option for the 9800 I own (a bit over a year old) some suggestion the app registry is full but no idea how to fix this.
