Had a message last night when syncing mail to upgrade Nokia Email to recieve hotmail. This had been working fine earlier in the day. I am now currently on the newest version available of Nokia Email and it still won't sync with my Hotmail account.
View 4 RepliesI have a BB Tour with Bell Canada, and recently, our company recently updated our BES server.Ever since the switch, I no longer can sync my BIS server emails.So on my BB, I have my company's BES email(lotus notes), and that syncs up fine...if I delete an email from my BB, it'll delete on my desktop, and vice versa.But for my BIS emails(hotmail), when I delete from my BB, it will not delete the email from my hotmail account...or when I delete from my hotmail account, it'll not delete on my BB.
View 4 Replies View RelatedEvery evening I turn off my iPhone 4 to let it charge. In the morning when I turn it on I always heard the notification chimes of incoming texts, voicemails, and emails. Now I just get incoming texts and voicemail. I don't receive incoming emails from Hotmail until I go into my mailbox. It asks me if I want to connect to a wifi signal. I say cancel. It searches and then it brings up my new emails.

My hotmail email account does not allow me to always chose access point, its provides a list of known points and if its not available it does not give choice of another. Whereas my ntlworld account (pop account) allows me to set default access point as "always ask".

While doing so it gives message that my email is already linked with a nokia email account and it also ask me to login to email.nokia.com
Unfortunately I don't remember credentials of email.nokia.com and there is no link for forgot password.

I've had my Curve BB for over a month with little to no problems (it stopped 'pushing' to my custom email a couple weeks ago, but I researched and resent the service books, etc. and it worked fine after that). Now, however, it has dropped/removed my two custom email icons. Poof. Gone. One minute they were there, the next, gone. I've already checked to make sure they weren't hidden. They're not. I went into email setting again and it no longer even showed them as having been set up - one of them being my home email that is pushed to my BB and the second being my BB email itself.
email syncs fine, but calendar, contacts notes etc (in fact everything else) doesnt sync. as the exchange box is hosted, there is no way of putting BES on it. every other smart phone i have ever hooked up to this hosted exchange box works fine seems to be just the blackberry.
he has an exchange enabled outlook 2007 client on his PC looking at the same account. how can i get things to sync over the air (i dont want him to have to plug it in to the pc as this defeats the entire object of having an exchange solution).
I loaded a software update and now I have stopped receiving emails. Is there something that I've missed that I need to do to get it back?

Now when I try to do this, it is showing a screen with a red "@" above a box asking for a password to be entered. I have not knowingly set a password for this function and therefore can no longer retrieve e-mails. how I can get my e-mail access back?

I have had my bookmarks syncing successfully since I found out that I could do it. Today, all of my bookmarks on my FE disappeared, and the browser refuses to sync to my Google account. I've logged into Chrome and all of my bookmarks are intact. Also, running stock 3.1 not rooted, no tomfoolery has been had with this device.

I have 3 accounts that run off the hotmail server, yet I can NOT get my phone to sync up with the server to delete my messages from the inbox and the phone. I own a hotmail account and was asked to validate it on my Blackberry. View 8 Replies View RelatedI am based in the UK and I am having problems setting up email on my blackberry bold 9700.I have 2 email accounts, both of which come up with 'username and/or password invalid'. My first and main account is with hotmail.co.uk, my second account is with googlemail.com.It might be important to note that my password for both is the same, but I dont see this as an issue as it consits of only letters and numbers.Also, my girlfriend input her hotmail.com account and it worked fine. So why does it work for her and not me?! I have tried to get a hotmail.com account but for some reason only hotmail.co.uk and live.co.uk are the only options for new email accounts here.This problem is also reflected in the Facebook application, whereas my girlfriend input her facebook username (which is her hotmail.com address) and it worked. When I input my Facebook username (my hotmail.co.uk address) it says that this is invalid!It is sooo frustrating and as a new blackberry user I feel a bit out of my depth

View 1 Replies View RelatedI received an email from Hotmail today advising that on 31st of May; I wouldn't get a text notifying me of new emails arriving in my Hotmail inbox.Its a bit of a shame really although not an insurmountable problem. Webmail has its uses afterall..I was just wondering if VirginMedia are the only affected users or if this is any/all mobile users who also have a Hotmail account?I'd love Hotmail's inbox to be a bit more mobile friendly. Get shot of the graphics and make it as basic as possible! I'm sure that idea will never amount to anything though.I do have to wonder if this is the start of email notification by text being phased out. Perhaps an attempt to reduce the drain on resources?
