HTC :: How To Get Notified On Nexus One / When Hotmail Email Arrives?
May 13, 2010
i went to account settings for my hotmail account, under "email notifications" i have the green check mark for it to notify me when an email arrives, however, every 5 mins it sends me a message saying there's a new email when there really isnt one.i have the "check email frequency" for every 5 mins so should i change that?
I am not really sure, but since I updated my LG G3to Android 5.0 my email nor my gmail is not being announced with a sound warning like it used to in KitKat on the Notification Board. All other type of notes come through with a sound but not my emails or gmails.
How do I set up my 4S phone to chime when a new email arrives? Right now, the chime only sounds after I tap the mail icon. I need an alert to check my mail. Comcast mail. Settings for mail set at "fetch new data".
Why can't I set my iPhone to give me an alert when an important email arrives? This new feature would alert me when I get an email from a predetermined sender or subject line. AOL offers this feature. Why can't my iPhone do it too? The phone would need to read the sender address and subject line of each email, and then bounce it against a list of pre-configured alerts that the user programs. This would also cut down on data consumption, since users would not have to check and recheck their mail when waiting for somethign important. With an alert, you just set it and forget it.
Had a message last night when syncing mail to upgrade Nokia Email to recieve hotmail. This had been working fine earlier in the day. I am now currently on the newest version available of Nokia Email and it still won't sync with my Hotmail account.
I have a gmail email as well as a hotmail email and it has just stopped syncing my hotmail emails even if I toggle sync and click sync now it will not work. Only way it will work is if I remove the account and add it again. Then it will work one time.. I've tried the troubleshooting from Google with no avail.
I can't set up my hotmail email. I go to setup in the menu, choose setup wizard, than Email setup, and there is the problem. There is no option: "I want to create or add an email address". Only:"I want to use a work email account with a Blackberry Enterprise Server"
Only just got my X10 and I can't work out how to set up hotmail. I have tried it manually with the advised server name, port etc but it still won't work.
I too am having email issues with my 9700. I have 3 accounts that run off the hotmail server, yet I can NOT get my phone to sync up with the server to delete my messages from the inbox and the phone. I even tried going back to my 8320 and the messages were deleted off the hotmail server. I'm so frustrated with the 9700 not working. Any one know how to fix this issue!
I cant send email from aol or hotmail on blackberry - i am receiving emails but cant send...I can send from my work email that is not an enterprise email...have i not set up the aol or hotmail correctly?
I own a hotmail account and was asked to validate it on my Blackberry. I did so but I keep receiving a message telling me that the email address or the password are incorrect, even though I do have access thereto from my desktop. I removed the address from my mobile and tried to add it again, but I am still receiving the aforementioned message.
I have spoken to both Sprint and BB tech support, and all three of my email accounts still do not reconcile.Reading or deleting mail via internet does not reflect on handheld.New mail comes into handheld but messages will not show messages being read or deleted unless the action is performed on handheld.
I recently changed the password for my main email address and I got this error on my phone, thinking I just had to enter my new password, but every time I do so I just get this error, I have tried removing the account and adding it again but the same thing happens. Adding a different hotmail account works no problems, but this is my main account so I really need this on my phone
My hotmail email account does not allow me to always chose access point, its provides a list of known points and if its not available it does not give choice of another. Whereas my ntlworld account (pop account) allows me to set default access point as "always ask".
I am based in the UK and I am having problems setting up email on my blackberry bold 9700.I have 2 email accounts, both of which come up with 'username and/or password invalid'. My first and main account is with hotmail.co.uk, my second account is with googlemail.com.It might be important to note that my password for both is the same, but I dont see this as an issue as it consits of only letters and numbers. Also, my girlfriend input her hotmail.com account and it worked fine. So why does it work for her and not me?! I have tried to get a hotmail.com account but for some reason only hotmail.co.uk and live.co.uk are the only options for new email accounts here. This problem is also reflected in the Facebook application, whereas my girlfriend input her facebook username (which is her hotmail.com address) and it worked. When I input my Facebook username (my hotmail.co.uk address) it says that this is invalid! It is sooo frustrating and as a new blackberry user I feel a bit out of my depth
I cant seem to set up my emails on the phone it wants me to activate my enterprise account, I dont know what this is, all I want to do is set up my hotmail account with the phone but there is not an option to do this.
I received an email from Hotmail today advising that on 31st of May; I wouldn't get a text notifying me of new emails arriving in my Hotmail inbox. Its a bit of a shame really although not an insurmountable problem. Webmail has its uses afterall..I was just wondering if VirginMedia are the only affected users or if this is any/all mobile users who also have a Hotmail account?I'd love Hotmail's inbox to be a bit more mobile friendly. Get shot of the graphics and make it as basic as possible! I'm sure that idea will never amount to anything though.I do have to wonder if this is the start of email notification by text being phased out. Perhaps an attempt to reduce the drain on resources?
I am trying to set up a new Curve 9320 to receive email from my hotmail account. the email set up takes me directly to enterprise accounts and doesn't appear to have an option for setting up the internet email account.
Some time ago I received a notification stating that I needed to verify my password to continue receive emails from my Hotmail account. The instruction stated that I needed to launch the Setup Wizard and click on the Email Accounts icon and then select the "Internet mail Account" icon to verify my password. I follow the instructions but, when I click on the "Internet mail Account" icon nothing happens and my only available option is "return to Setup".
I recently got an Xperia X10 however I'm having trouble setting up my hotmail account on the Email App, it always says 'Setup could not finish, unable to open connection to server'. I've tried setting it up both as a POP3 account and an IMAP (as I'm not sure which to use) but still no luck.
