I recently changed the password for my main email address and I got this error on my phone, thinking I just had to enter my new password, but every time I do so I just get this error, I have tried removing the account and adding it again but the same thing happens. Adding a different hotmail account works no problems, but this is my main account so I really need this on my phone

I too am having email issues with my 9700. I have 3 accounts that run off the hotmail server, yet I can NOT get my phone to sync up with the server to delete my messages from the inbox and the phone. I even tried going back to my 8320 and the messages were deleted off the hotmail server. I'm so frustrated with the 9700 not working. Any one know how to fix this issue!
View 12 Replies View RelatedI am based in the UK and I am having problems setting up email on my blackberry bold 9700.I have 2 email accounts, both of which come up with 'username and/or password invalid'. My first and main account is with hotmail.co.uk, my second account is with googlemail.com.It might be important to note that my password for both is the same, but I dont see this as an issue as it consits of only letters and numbers.Also, my girlfriend input her hotmail.com account and it worked fine. So why does it work for her and not me?! I have tried to get a hotmail.com account but for some reason only hotmail.co.uk and live.co.uk are the only options for new email accounts here.This problem is also reflected in the Facebook application, whereas my girlfriend input her facebook username (which is her hotmail.com address) and it worked. When I input my Facebook username (my hotmail.co.uk address) it says that this is invalid!It is sooo frustrating and as a new blackberry user I feel a bit out of my depth
View 4 Replies View RelatedI received an email from Hotmail today advising that on 31st of May; I wouldn't get a text notifying me of new emails arriving in my Hotmail inbox.Its a bit of a shame really although not an insurmountable problem. Webmail has its uses afterall..I was just wondering if VirginMedia are the only affected users or if this is any/all mobile users who also have a Hotmail account?I'd love Hotmail's inbox to be a bit more mobile friendly. Get shot of the graphics and make it as basic as possible! I'm sure that idea will never amount to anything though.I do have to wonder if this is the start of email notification by text being phased out. Perhaps an attempt to reduce the drain on resources?

They used to just be plain envelopes icons. Has something happened that I should be aware of or is something saved? What is this new icon alerting me to? or is this just a creative upgrade?(I auto-upgraded my BB Desktop Software to 6.0.0.40 recently, is this related?)I have always had a 'mini globe' icon at the bottom of my folder for my Gmail account. I tried veriifying the email on my Blackberry Pearl but receive a mesaage stating my password is incorrect. Since I had to verify my email to post this message my password is apparently working from an internet connection. I have looked at the other posting and tried the host routing table register and taking the battery out but am still unable to register my email. Is there anything else I can do to try to fix this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedOnly in the past two days when I delete an email from Hotmail on my PC, it does not delete on my BB.However, if I delete an email from my BB and select "mailbox & handheld", it is deleted from Hotmail on my PC.I have had the same Pearl 8110 on the same T-mobile package for more than 12 months.I have checked that wireless reconciliation is "on" in my BB email settings.Also, late today my BB has started truncating all my messages and not providing the "more" option or automatically loading the rest of the message.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI had a curve 8310 on o2 and moved to a bold 9700 still on o2.When i moved i used the desktop manager and did the device switch over, all went well including bbm etc.However whenever i tried to send an email i recieved the error message 'transaction error failure at service' - I tried to log into my bis account online to update my pin but i couldnt log on! i havent changed the password or username since my old blackberry so i cant log on to change it online. on my blackberry when i try to log on to email settings it says the username field is blank!
i called o2 they put me through to geek squad and wanted to charge me to help!!! I havent had the phone 2 weeks yet.Now i think that i need to call o2 again and ask them something like releasing my old pin maybe from my bis account or resetting the bis account,any ideas what i should do or the type of questions i need to ask o2 if i have to ring them again.
About a week ago my Windows Live Hotmail was hacked. Reset password and everything appears to be OK there. On Mon. did the software upgrade from OS 6.2xxx to 6.3xxx. Can't get email to my Bold 9650 now. Neither the old password nor the new one works, though the old one works with my Facebook account. Can't add another hotmail account or uninstall the existing account so I could start over. Yes, the email works everywhere else.

My email addresses are listed and I have the option to verify the passwords but every time I enter the correct password I get a message that says "Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again." The only options I have when dealing with my email addresses is to verify the password. I cannot add an account and I cannot delete an account. There is no option to edit. Essentially there are no options at all except to verify passwords. When I open the menu I get switch application, help and close. Nothing else.
