I use hotmail live and the calendar some time my dates from my calendar are sync but some times not. How to be able to add dates on the computer or on the blackberry and like it to just sync automatically over the wireless network.

In my bb, I made sure to default my calendar to the one I want. However, when I sync, the default calendar doesn't pick it up, it goes to another one. It used to work but now it doesn't anymore and I can't figure out why. I have double checked my default calendar and it's to the one I want.
Also, I'm unable to change to make changes to the sync through the network. Doesn't work at all, I can't click on it to change it. Again, this used to work over the network but not anymore.

View 19 Replies View RelatedI am noticing this issue from the past couple of weeks and probably after the last update. When I open the calendar Icon, the dates do not load on the phone. It just doesnt show any dates?
Also if a reminder is past, it shows a past reminder and the reminder also doesnt open up.
Whenever I do the hard re-boot i.e keep the power button pressed till it vibrates three times and shuts and re-starts, then initially the calendar shows the dates, but again after sometime if I have to open the calendar, it doesnt show the dates at all, and goes back to the same issue.
I was adding appointments and save the date information to my calendar and slipped my Samsung Galaxy 5 back into my purse and about an hour later went to check my calendar for my day ahead and my calendar is blank. I sync my bb calendar with Google using Google sync. Today I made some adjustments to the calendar on the bb and it switches my repeating Monday event to Sunday, and erases the alarm setting. It doesn't do this with any other repeating event.

I've recently purchased a N900, and I'm trying to create a new e-mail account to connect to my hotmail/msn account.

Incoming server : pop3.live.com
Outgoing server : smtp.live.com
But when it's all setup, I get the message :"Unable to connect to pop3.live.com. Server name or port number may be incorrect" Can someone tell me the correct settings please?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to sync my Yahoo calendar with my Blackberry Bold 9700 via the Blackberry Desktop Manager (version 5.0.1) and am getting the error message "Connection to Yahoo server was lost" when the calendar sync is occurring. The only option on the screen is to press "OK". Once "OK" is pressed, the Blackberry Desktop Manager returns to the synchronization screen. The address book syncs successfully, but the calendar does not. I have tried syncing one way and both ways without success.
A few notes about the environment: I am using the newer version of Yahoo Calendar which I have seen recommended on other postings. I am using standard Yahoo not the small biz version. I have seen this recommended, too.I am connecting my Blackberry Bold 9700 to my laptop via the USB cable that is supplied by Blackberry.
I am trying to get the calendar on my Curve 9360 to get items from, and put items to my calendar. My email/calendar is on a Microsoft exchange server, and I have it set up on my Blackberry Playbook (activesync) and sending/receiving emails or making/deleting calendar entries is seemless and instantaneous. The Curve on the other hand does not make it so easy.
I get/send emails no problem. The calendar on the curve does not update with new items posted elsewhere nor do new calendar entries made on the Curve get posted to the server. I do not have the same email account options on the curve 9360 as the playbook. I have never found an option on the Curve for wireless sync. The only way syncing works presently for me is to use desktop manager and press sync.

i set up emails on my Blackberry Curve 8900 about a month ago (via BIS) and they've been working fine since then - until yesterday. Yesterday I got an email saying: "Action required:update password!" - there was then some info asking me to go to the BIS page and validate my password before I can receive emails again.
I keep doing this and it keeps saying it has been validated (I am absolutely certain it is the correct password) - but then 1 minute later I get the same email again saying I ned to validate my password. I click the email icon in setup and it's gone back to needing to be validate again?!
It's my work email address accessed via BIS. Has anyone got any ideas?? (I've treied searching on here but the posts I've found are all talking about a problem with Hotmail / Live / MSN - which this isn't about)

Just bought new Nokia 2730 and everything else is OK but I am not able to add my hotmail account to email settings. It always says that login fails. Live ID and password is OK and Live Messenger under chat is working with my account. I have the latest firmware v 09.41 02-12-09 rm-578.
