Sep 8, 2011I suddenly am not receiving hotmail and gmail email on my Torch. Have I accidentally turned off something? Has BB upgrading altered something?

Aug 10, 2010I'm considering the 9800 as my next phone. Right now, I'm running a Tilt2, WM 6.5 My contacts & calendar events are synced via Microsoft MyPhone & Google sync. Will the Blackberry OS import that data from either of those sources? And how easily will the Blackberry set up & handle hotmail & Gmail?

Apr 19, 2012I have 3 email accounts that I synchronise with the email app. I use this app to have all my accounts in the same place, including my gmail account. The issue is that when I send an email, a copy of it is stored in the imap sent email folder of the account. Gmail do not recommend this practice because it saves all sent email by itself, and there for, if the client also saves a copy of the email, there is two copies stored. That's my problem. When using email app, I find in my email account twice the mail sent in the conversation. (How) can I configure the email app not to store the sent messages in the imap server ? I am running ICS official realease from sony (PC Companion) since yesterday.

Jun 10, 2010I have a Torch 9810. I had my email account set up on it and I've never had any problems. Today, I realised I hadn't been receiving emails. So I checked the settings in setup and couldn't find anything amiss. I've tried the usual stuff - sending service books, host routing table registration, numerous battery pulls and restarts, and deleting/re-adding my email account. None of it has worked.
The only thing that happens when I am trying to activate the email address is it says "contacting server....retrying..." and doesn't do anything else.
Is there something I can do? It's driving me mad not being able to sort it out

Each time is says that an email with instructions to reset my password has been sent, but the emails are not coming through to my email account (not inbox, junk, spam...anything). May 3, 2010I bought my E72 3 days ago and the first impression i got was disappointing.The first action you do when switching on E72 for the first time is to set up your email accounts. Remember, E72 is Nokia's top email phone!I chose hotmail. I enter my email account and then my password as requested.And the next screen i get is nothing but the previous one!!!The same happens with Yahoo accounts.I found a way to work around the crash and set up my account through the "other" tab available on the wizard.I am really disappointed that i have changed my beloved E71, to get an even more proffessional solution that in the end needs a total update to set up our emails.There must be a solution in the next software upgrade and must be installed for free in all Nokia's stores.

With the GB update it did get a little better but today when I turned on my phone at 7am and it's now 10:30am I have not received any emails. I checked my Hotmail account on a desktop pc and I had 12 emails since last night as recently as 15 minutes ago. I thought GB was supposed to fix this. My battery life is not better if possibly worse with GB. And yes my Droid X does turn back on when I turn it off. Looks like GB may have fixed some things but broke others

Nov 28, 2011I want to use my blackberry as audio device when riding my bike. However i noticed that it just stops playing music when there is a new notification, once thats has been cleared, it just resumes playing. This is highly unusable 'cause the torch is somewhere in my jacket.
I saw that this was a common problem and i find it very unlicky that cracking my blackberry (which i bought for 800$) is the only solution to make it work like a 20$ mp3 player.

Already after 3-4 days disappeared suddenly able to receive mail from my hotmail account, but luckily came back later in the day! So on Friday I got an email from nokia with the text below.
