BB Torch :: Unable To Send Emails From Hotmail Account
Apr 12, 2012Recently I have been unable to send messages from my Hotmail account on my BB Torch, the message initially appears to have sent OK then after a few seconds a red cross is displayed and the Message Status changes to General Failure.

Jul 3, 2011I've just swapped a Bold for a Torch. I'm trying to sync my hotmail email account to it. I go to the set-up wizard as per usual and I'm told to "move my email accounts to receive emails to my new device" It tells me to insert my password, which I do. Message pops up saying the password has been verified. Then that's it. It just then has the option of returning to setup options. I go to my Messages folder and its tells me that no message services has been configured and it all starts again. My Facebook messages are in there but no hotmail.

Jan 5, 2011I'm no longer receiving hotmail emails to my Blackberry. I am able to send hotmail emails from my phone but not receive. My hotmail account is working well via my pc. I'm also receiving emails to my other non-hotmail account on my blackberry.I have been on the phone with my carrier O2 about this over 10 times and they have confirmed its either a Blackberry or Hotmail problem, not an O2 issue.I have tried nearly everything; removed and readded my hotmail account on both the Blackberry Internet Service website (via device browser) and Email Settings on Device, turning phone on/off, host routing table and registering etc..nothing seems to be working.Hotmail have suggested I re-configure the pop3 settings on my phone, but I don't understand how this can be done. I am on a Blackberry Curve 8520 and only just recently bought the phone.

Jun 8, 2011I've had this phone for about a year and have always had issues of not receiving Hotmail emails within a reasonable amount of time. With the GB update it did get a little better but today when I turned on my phone at 7am and it's now 10:30am I have not received any emails. I checked my Hotmail account on a desktop pc and I had 12 emails since last night as recently as 15 minutes ago. I thought GB was supposed to fix this. My battery life is not better if possibly worse with GB. And yes my Droid X does turn back on when I turn it off. Looks like GB may have fixed some things but broke others

Mar 31, 2010This is probably a simple one but any help would be appreciated.I am receiving my work email to my BB which is great, however some day's I am in the office at my desk, and on those day's I do not need to get my mail on my BB.
Is there any way to "pause" the receiving of emails while I am in the office, and then I can manually start receiving emails again once I am not at my desk, short of deleting and installing the account every time?
BB Torch :: Cannot Add Hotmail Account
Oct 8, 2011I am using a 4G Blackberry Torch 9810 with AT&T. Despite registering my device with my wireless carrier by registering under the host routing table and getting a confirmation message, the AT&T bis site is not recognizing my PIN or IMEI (they are entered correct, the error message is that the device is not registered). I have also tried to integrate the Hotmail account through the mobile.blackberry.com site but get a website error (HTTP Status 500, looks like a Javascript error) when I click on integrate my Hotmail account.
PS: The software vesion is 7.0.0 Bundle 1355.

Mar 21, 2012After I upgraded to Nokia Belle on my N8, my phone will stop receiving calls, messages, emails and can't even browse the internet. It behaves like I'm not connected my mobile network. I will have to switch the phone off and switch it back on to be able to receive calls again. Every other installed applications work so far they don't need to access the network. The strange thing is that, you won't notice anything. If you are someone that receives calls a lot, you'll just notice that you haven't received any calls or SMS or emails. This happens everyday, sometimes 3 times a day.

Aug 3, 2011The track-pad on my BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 stopped working so Sprint replaced my BlackBerry earlier today and I haven't received an email yet on my new BlackBerry. Email setup brings me to the screen where I, "Move Email Accounts", and after I click it, it says that the device change was successful and prompts me to enter my password. After doing so, it takes me to a screen to synchronize my contacts and when I click that, it says, "Activation failed. An error was encountered when sending the activation transmission." I REALLY don't feel like running down to Sprint again and asking them to configure the email for me. I need my emails.
