BB Torch :: Spam Mails With Using Hotmail Account?
Aug 7, 2011
I'm struggling a problem with my hotmail mail account, and it seems that my blackberry touch 9800 got something like spyware. The problem is that someone uses my hotmail email account to spread spam mail with address book stored in hotmail system. The contents of spam mails sent with my account are different each other by each sending.
I am using a 4G Blackberry Torch 9810 with AT&T. Despite registering my device with my wireless carrier by registering under the host routing table and getting a confirmation message, the AT&T bis site is not recognizing my PIN or IMEI (they are entered correct, the error message is that the device is not registered). I have also tried to integrate the Hotmail account through the mobile.blackberry.com site but get a website error (HTTP Status 500, looks like a Javascript error) when I click on integrate my Hotmail account.
I have a iphone 4s and after i got it about 3 days later i started being pestered with spam calls, texts and voicemails i dont know what to do as its getting a bit of an irratent. I've never given my details away and on the text messages im being called by different names as if somone signed my number up to places under false names? but i wanna know how to stop, im being called in lessons which then leads to a voicemail and text so anyway to stop this? (numbers seem to be different and it happens around 5-15 times a day)
i want to know if there is a way to access the folders in my hotmail account on my blackberry device? i have made rules that send specific emails to specific folders on my account and cant see the emails that go to those folders on my blackberry.
Recently I have been unable to send messages from my Hotmail account on my BB Torch, the message initially appears to have sent OK then after a few seconds a red cross is displayed and the Message Status changes to General Failure.
It seems as if they are "hiding" somewhere (my hotmail mail account), because I keep getting emails in my "messages" folder, but I don't see my email folder anymore. Also, when I go to setup/email accounts and click on the icon, it will either freeze on me, or say no accounts have been set up.
I've just swapped a Bold for a Torch. I'm trying to sync my hotmail email account to it. I go to the set-up wizard as per usual and I'm told to "move my email accounts to receive emails to my new device" It tells me to insert my password, which I do. Message pops up saying the password has been verified. Then that's it. It just then has the option of returning to setup options. I go to my Messages folder and its tells me that no message services has been configured and it all starts again. My Facebook messages are in there but no hotmail.
Got my BB curve 8025 at the weekend and have encounted afew things i didnt understand serched the net and found this site which as been a god send! I'm trying to set up email but atm its only giving me the option for setting up work email account with a BB enterprise server - I just want to set up a normal email account using my normal hotmail account but i cant get any further along as it asks for my enterprise activation password - which i obviously dont have?
Also - a few friend have gien me their pin so i can add them on BBM, i type the pin and it says contact pending but the person/s im trying to add get no notification that i'm trying to add them - we try it the other way with me giving them my pin and get the same result WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
New spam emails being received on samsung s5 are disabling the ability to tag them as spam. This only leaves pressing unsubscribe which could be risky or delete. Meaning there is no way to stop future emails.
Few days ago my account has been deactivated. I have received a mail before to warn me and inform me that I have to buy a "plan for mails" with my provider (there was a link in the mail to the option..) to continue to use it again.
I have bought this option and my account remain INACTIVE !! So what can I do to reactive it? When synchronising on my N97 i have : "certificate expired"
I cannot add my hotmail account to my new BB phone. I tried a Gmail account and it works fine, I just get an error "The application has encountered and error and cannot continue" for my hotmail account. I have contacted T-Mobile and they tried to help me, however they told me, after few tires, that BB does not support Hotmail accounts.
I would like to set up my hotmail account on my 4S Iphone, but even following the apple website instruction, my phone still give me the wrong information about a wrong name and password.

I received a Network Notification spam from a lotto thing saying my mobile number was selected to get a prize etc.... how would this message have been sent to me? is there a security breach or some problem with my BES? What type of message is this and where did it come from?
I want to configure my hotmail account in my 5800. When I do this it automatically connects with 3G and I want to do it with wifi. Someone an idea how I can change this?
When my Anna-N8 sudenly stopped syncing Hotmail, I deleted the account to add it again (as recomended by Nokia in this forum). But now I just get a notification saying "Service unavailable at the moment. Please try again later" (my translation from Swedish) when I try to set up the Hotmail-account.
I installed a hotmail account on my iPhone 3GS but it doesn't work. So I decide to delete it but then to my surprise, there's nothing like "Delete mail account" button to click. I've searched all over the mail settings area on the iPhone for a clue on how to delete it, but I can't find anything.I once installed the mail exchange account and it is extremely easy to delete it once I don't want it anymore. This time the hotmail account is not like that and I'm totally stuck.Do you guys know how to delete the hotmail account?

We set up our Blackberrys on an Enterprise server and now I can't add my Hotmail account to my phone. I get the error "Email setup application is temporarily unavailable". It has been thsi way for months, is this coming from our BES servier? Anyone been able to add another email account using a BES server?
Only just got my X10 and I can't work out how to set up hotmail. I have tried it manually with the advised server name, port etc but it still won't work.
I have a problem to set up my hotmail account in the timescape. it always say that my user name or password is not correct. Also, the same message appear when I trying to sign in the MSN live messager. but i'm sure that is the correct username and psw.
My Blackberry Curve is connected to my hotmail (live.co.uk) account. The e-mail account and Blackberry seem to reconcile well except for changes I make to the e-mail account on my PC. These changes are not reconciling with the Blackberry. So, if I read or delete e-mails from the BB, this shows up on the PC. But if I read or delete e-mails on the PC, this is not reflected on the phone. The BB does, however, receive e-mails from this account.I also have another e-mail account connected (Outlook) which is working perfectly.I have searched through the options and can't find anything that looks like it will resolve the issue.
Ever since I got my phone, I keep getting this email notification of Mobile Email OZMAIL. I never had gotten this from my old phone (Motorola Karma Q1) so I'm wondering why it keeps popping up. I believe it's a text message, it's not an email. It's reallly annoying and I want to get rid of it.
how to eliminate spam from reaching my inbox. The spam emails are eliminated from my PC and laptop by my security software, but constantly reappear in my Blackberry inbox.
i just got my E72, and the email thing is kinda bugging me. i set up my hotmail and gmail account and it's just not working, there's this little cross symble on the top right hand side. do i need to have internet servies on my sim card or do i use the wlan for the email to work?
Previously, all my contacts were taken periodically from my Nokia E71 phone and moved to my Hotmail account.I found no reason for this, although other threads here suggested I disable the contacts option in the email accounts part of my phone.I not only did this, I upgraded the phone software and then imported the phone contacts from the backup I had made in Nokia PC Suite.
Now I need to import the rest of my contacts from Hotmail, the ones which were removed from my phone without my wanting them to be removed.
