Feb 2, 2010I want to configure my hotmail account in my 5800. When I do this it automatically connects with 3G and I want to do it with wifi. Someone an idea how I can change this?

IPhone :: Configuring Hotmail On 4s?
Apr 11, 2012I have a hotmail account, with MS Outlook, through Century Link ISP. After I set up the account on my new iPhone 4s (using the Hotmail option for adding an account), I discovered that deleting emails on the phone deleted the emails from the server as well. Doing some checking on-line, I read that you could select the Advanced option, and then specify "never" delete emails on the server. However, my hotmail account on the iPhone doesn't have an Advanced option. I talked to Apple support, deleted the account and re-added it using the Other option (vs. Hotmail). I was then able to see the Advanced option. However, I no longer have the option to Sync calendars, contacts or reminders.

Oct 5, 2011When my Anna-N8 sudenly stopped syncing Hotmail, I deleted the account to add it again (as recomended by Nokia in this forum). But now I just get a notification saying "Service unavailable at the moment. Please try again later" (my translation from Swedish) when I try to set up the Hotmail-account.

Mar 5, 2010Previously, all my contacts were taken periodically from my Nokia E71 phone and moved to my Hotmail account.I found no reason for this, although other threads here suggested I disable the contacts option in the email accounts part of my phone.I not only did this, I upgraded the phone software and then imported the phone contacts from the backup I had made in Nokia PC Suite.
Now I need to import the rest of my contacts from Hotmail, the ones which were removed from my phone without my wanting them to be removed.

Feb 10, 2010I have successfully set up my hotmail account to send and receive emails but I cannot for the life of me get the following to work.Sent email from N900 showing as sent on PCRead email on N900 not shown as read on PCDeleted email on N900 not shown as deleted on PCFolders not shownIt looks like there is no synchronization between the 2 but it works whichever PC I use..I have been through the different topics and although a few people have mentioned the same thing I cannot find a definitive answer.

May 3, 2010I bought my E72 3 days ago and the first impression i got was disappointing.The first action you do when switching on E72 for the first time is to set up your email accounts. Remember, E72 is Nokia's top email phone!I chose hotmail. I enter my email account and then my password as requested.And the next screen i get is nothing but the previous one!!!The same happens with Yahoo accounts.I found a way to work around the crash and set up my account through the "other" tab available on the wizard.I am really disappointed that i have changed my beloved E71, to get an even more proffessional solution that in the end needs a total update to set up our emails.There must be a solution in the next software upgrade and must be installed for free in all Nokia's stores.

Jan 16, 2010I've recently purchased a N900, and I'm trying to create a new e-mail account to connect to my hotmail/msn account.
The settings I'm using are :
Incoming server : pop3.live.com
Outgoing server : smtp.live.com
But when it's all setup, I get the message :"Unable to connect to pop3.live.com. Server name or port number may be incorrect" Can someone tell me the correct settings please?

Apr 19, 2010Got my BB curve 8025 at the weekend and have encounted afew things i didnt understand serched the net and found this site which as been a god send! I'm trying to set up email but atm its only giving me the option for setting up work email account with a BB enterprise server - I just want to set up a normal email account using my normal hotmail account but i cant get any further along as it asks for my enterprise activation password - which i obviously dont have?
Also - a few friend have gien me their pin so i can add them on BBM, i type the pin and it says contact pending but the person/s im trying to add get no notification that i'm trying to add them - we try it the other way with me giving them my pin and get the same result WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

Oct 8, 2011I am using a 4G Blackberry Torch 9810 with AT&T. Despite registering my device with my wireless carrier by registering under the host routing table and getting a confirmation message, the AT&T bis site is not recognizing my PIN or IMEI (they are entered correct, the error message is that the device is not registered). I have also tried to integrate the Hotmail account through the mobile.blackberry.com site but get a website error (HTTP Status 500, looks like a Javascript error) when I click on integrate my Hotmail account.
PS: The software vesion is 7.0.0 Bundle 1355.

I have contacted T-Mobile and they tried to help me, however they told me, after few tires, that BB does not support Hotmail accounts.

These changes are not reconciling with the Blackberry.So, if I read or delete e-mails from the BB, this shows up on the PC. But if I read or delete e-mails on the PC, this is not reflected on the phone. The BB does, however, receive e-mails from this account.I also have another e-mail account connected (Outlook) which is working perfectly.I have searched through the options and can't find anything that looks like it will resolve the issue.

I've tried with two different PC's and I suffer the same problem: I can't import the current phone's settings, and I can't send a new profile either. I've also tried with a USB cable and Bluetooth connection. It takes a long, long time with a message on screen: "Importing Setting" until I cancel it. "Edit Online" doesn't work either.
